8 июн. 2024 г.The false dichotomy of emotions and logic. Emotions are condensed logic. Logic is precipitated emotions. Emotions and logic are like hot and cold. They are essentially the same thing occurring at varying levels of intensity. Logic is low level and low capable of addressing low quantity of information. Emotions are capable of holding such a level of information in a smaller volume. Which is why you stories of great scientists and writers getting great epiphanies which inspires them to go back to their room and jolt down 1000 page essays/novels or great scientific discoveries. A simple emotion was able to capture such a complicated thing as gravity or relativity or Archimedes principle in such a short span of time that they could not even hold that information in their mind any longer. That is what you call an insight. And insight come in the form of sharp emotions. It requires even more self awareness and cognizance to decipher it further, which is what we refer to as intuition, a skill in itself. We normally attribute higher intelligence to people who are able to effortlessly juggle logic, but those people still use emotions to power their work under the hood while no one is watching them. Higher capacity for logic extends to higher capacity for emotions. Which is why talking about IQ or EQ as if they indicate polar opposite skill sets is such a normie mistake to do. The most striking example that comes to mind is that of dogs and cats. Dogs are more intelligent and hence more loving and social. It is able to empathize with the human emotions, precisely because they are more intelligent unlike cats which has zero regard to their human masters even though their survival hinges on their master. It is not the fault of the cat at all. They simply do not possess the means to process the empathy require to bond with humans at a higher level. High IQ psychopaths are often emotionally dysfunctional, meaning they cannot process emotions at all like normal people. Yet they are able to charm and bond with people simply because their elevated IQ privileges them with the computations required to act as if they had emotions. Empathy is computable and hence functionally equivalent to logic and/or emotions. Emotions are analog in nature and to deduce logic from emotions you have to round them close to an arbitrary threshold. Which is why I referred to logic as precipitated emotions. They are an approximation function applied on emotions. On the other hand, if you have lots of logic which is intricately interconnected with each other, you can condense them into one thing which essentially becomes one thing, or one emotions. An emotion act as an abstract cover for a lot of logic which stay securely underneath them. A single drop of tear can hold an ocean of stories behind it.1,03%

Then you will become faster as a consequence. A good car on a good road will travel at good speed. There is not point trying to burn extra fuel on a crappy road with a crappy engine. Those are the bottlenecks hampering your speed. See speed as a healthy indicator. And a lack of pace should be a negative indicator of critical design flaws in your system.0,85%
