Overall, both fish& chips and hamburgers followed a similar upward trend throughout the period. Noticeably, by the end of the period, fish&chips had become the most consumed junk food. Meanwhile, pizza was the only product to experience a slight decrease in consumption. Looking at the details, the lowest consumption of hamburgers in Britain was 40 grams in 1970. This figure then experienced gradual growth to exactly 100g, which then rose sharply to 300 in 1990. As for fish&chips, its consumption started at approximately 99g in the initial year. However, it had risen slightly to 150g in 1980, before reaching its peak of 500 grams by 1990, marking a significant rise on the graph. Pizza consumption, on the other hand, saw a slight decline over the period. In 1970, the amount of pizza consumed was 300g. After that, it reduced by 200g in 1980 and remained stable for the rest of the period.
