In my latest on the ground report for The Grayzone, I travelled to the ancient city of Tyre to document the aftermath of a brutal wave of Israeli strikes on residential buildings and local businesses. Despite Israel’s claims that their attacks target Hezbollah, I found no evidence of militant activity. Instead, I only encountered civilians attempting to rebuild their lives — and, in many cases, refusing to obey a forced evacuation notice imposed by Israeli forces seeking to ethnically cleanse southern Lebanon. Watch the full report here.
In this exclusive interview for The Grayzone, I spoke with Wafiq Safa, a senior Hezbollah official who was formerly head of Hezbollah's Liaison and Coordination Unit. We had a candid exchange about Hezbollah's conflict with Israel in Southern Lebanon, and Safa provided new details on resistance drone operations, its intelligence capacity, and why he believes his organization has forced Israel into a costly stalemate that exposes the limits of Israeli military power. Safa stated that any US-backed attempt to disarm Hezbollah would be illegitimate and could trigger civil war, because Hezbollah sees itself as part of a broader regional front that includes Iran and other anti-Israel forces. Regarding Lebanon’s future, he argued that Israel’s talk of permanent settlement in the south is realistic only if resistance collapses, and he insisted that the movement still stands by its decision to open the front after October 7 because it views the war as a defense of Lebanon’s sovereignty and a response to Israel’s wider regional project. Safa also offered his assessment of Israeli influence on the US government, suggesting that rather than advancing US national security interests, Israel is now undermining them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRgo7E7ectE
For years, the Imam Khomayni mosque and medical center provided free treatment and medicine to the people of Maachouq in South Lebanon. That all ended yesterday morning, when Israeli forces decimated the building, and the adjacent civil defense headquarters, with two massive rocket strikes. Wyatt Reed reports from the scene. 🧿 Wyatt Reed was kind enough to accept an invite to Talk about his recent trip to Isfahan and the Strait of Hormuz, as well as his current impressions of Beirut. In this Talk we learn : what it was like to see the Isfahan debacle in person; how shallow, and narrow the Hormuz Strait really is; are there any Pahlavi supporters in Iran; how the electricity in Lebanon works; how some Lebanese Christians are 'de-facto' ok with Israel torching Churches; and how the 'wartime' atmospheres of Donetsk, Isfahan, and Beirut compare. Also in this episode : IDF drones constantly above Beirut, Was Isfahan about pilots or uranium, OPSEC and coincidental bombings of places journalists visit, Meeting the parents of the girl's school martyrs, What a 'ceasefire' means in Lebanon, 'Birds aren't real' — revisited, and Hezbollah's FPV drones obliterate occupiers in southern Lebanon. ➡️ https://youtu.be/g8P4o7Wqt4w ⬅️ Some serious memes, stories from Donetsk, 'Goyim lives matter' [and other side-effects of the recent wars], 1980s Israeli children's songs, Polo, and freedom tricycles in Hijab-less Iran, all included. @WorkingBrother 😎
The Grayzone at S. Lebanon funeral for family targeted by Israel As Israel continues violating a supposed ceasefire in Lebanon, The Grayzone’s Wyatt Reed travelled to the southern city of Saida to document the funeral of a family of nine massacred by yet another Israeli airstrike in the nearby town of Jibchit. Despite knowing they could be killed at any moment, community members insisted they will continue defying Israeli orders to abandon their homeland. TheGrayzone.com @thegrayzonenews
First American to report from Iran's B1 bridge bombed by US The Grayzone's Wyatt Reed reports from the B1 bridge in Karaj, Iran and surveys the damage following a massive US assault that destroyed one of the country's most significant infrastructure projects as President Donald Trump vowed to bomb it "back to the Stone Age." As the first American journalist to report from the scene of the war crime, Wyatt blows a massive hole in the US justification for the attack, demonstrating the impossibility of the bridge's use for military transportation. He also details the horrifying human toll, as the bombing occurred on Iran's Nature Day, with many families picnicking nearby. TheGrayzone.com @thegrayzonenews
It’s “highly unlikely” Iran will ever permit the US military to return to the Persian Gulf, I was told by the chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security Commission, Ebrahim Azizi. My full interview with Azizi has just been published — watch our discussion here.

Who’s behind the mysterious ‘Iran-backed terror cell’ haunting Europe? The Grayzone's Wyatt Reed says major questions remain about “Ashab Al-Yamin," a previously unknown group which is now blamed for a series of supposedly antisemitic attacks across Europe. Why aren’t they targeting countries most involved in the Iran war? Why are suspects being released on bail? And why do they seem to communicate like Israelis? Read the article here. Samantha Power secretly colluded with Israel to enhance UN role, leaked emails show - By Wyatt Reed Behind closed doors, the noted ‘humanitarian interventionist’ successfully lobbied for Israel’s inclusion on important UN committees even after the Human Rights Council accused it of targeting civilians in Gaza. The leaked emails also reveal that Israel furnished Power with a dodgy dossier on Syrian chemical weapons as she pushed regime change in Damascus. Continue reading... TheGrayzone.com @TheGrayzoneNews

GZ EXCLUSIVE: MI6 infiltrated the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on London's behalf, according to leaked confidential files obtained by The Grayzone. Nicholas Langman, who's been publicly outed as an MI6 employee twice, was revealed as an official British liaison with the IAEA in a resume filed with UK intel cutout Torchlight. As the head of Britain's Counter-Proliferation Centre, Langman “led large, inter-agency teams to identify and defeat the spread of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons technology, including by innovative technical means and sanctions,” according to the document. In particular, the MI6 agent “worked to prevent WMD proliferation through… support for the [IAEA] and Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons [OPCW].” Langman’s CV also credits him with playing a major role in unleashing the sanctions regime imposed on Iran by “[building] highly effective and mutually supportive relations across government and with senior US, European, Middle and Far Eastern colleagues for strategy” between 2010 and 2012. He boasts in his bio that this “enabled [the] major diplomatic success of [the] Iranian nuclear and sanctions agreement.” The discovery lends serious weight to Iran's accusation that the nuclear watchdog secretly colluded with the Islamic Republic's enemies. Why did Republicans fund ‘transgender dance’ in Bangladesh? As Trump attacks foreign spending on “woke” initiatives, a GOP-aligned outfit has largely escaped scrutiny, despite using taxpayer funds to sponsor “transgender dance performances” and what it called the “largest published survey of LGBTI people in Bangladesh.” According to documents obtained by The Grayzone, the US-funded International Republican Institute sees gay and transgender people as uniquely disruptive actors who can be deployed to manipulate political realities overseas, stating, “LGBTI people tend to participate in social change activities to eventually bring changes to politics.” By Wyatt Reed Continue reading TheGrayzone.com
That same month, another Haaretz piece accused our top editor of carrying out a “masterclass in manipulation,” claiming Blumenthal “has a history of denying war crimes, so it's no surprise he provided a piece that very selectively uses facts, includes purposely edited quotes to change their meaning and grossly plays down the atrocities against Israelis.” Given their long history of disparaging myself, Max Blumenthal, and The Grayzone in general, they were apparently unable to publicly credit a Grayzone employee. So they did the next best thing: shamelessly plagiarize our work and pass it off as their own. The blatant forgery of my writing by Haaretz is pathetic — and likely illegal — but ultimately unsurprising. It does, however, raise the crucial question: is there anything Israelis won’t steal? https://archive.is/ThaCX
