  • Why your top people keep walking out (Most leaders figure this out way too late) A client asked me a question that got me thinking. If building an org around revenue alone creates problems... should we build around quality instead? My answer: Hell YEAH. But you gotta do it from the start. Here's what most leaders screw up… They start with pure hustle culture. Grind. Sacrifice. Push until you break. Chase the numbers. Then LATER... when half their team is burnt out and ready to quit... they suddenly want to slow things down. Well. You're about five years too late. Your culture is already cemented. You can't just slap "quality standards" into a grind-focused organization. People signed up for the hustle. That's what your top performers modeled. That's what everyone expects. So when you suddenly flip the script and say "Hey, let's chill and enjoy ourselves..." Your grinders feel betrayed. Your number-chasers start coasting. And your whole system fractures. You have to build it from the START. This means from day one... you celebrate the person who actually takes their breaks. You reward sustainable production over burnout sprints. You MODEL what balanced achievement looks like. Because here's what actually happens when quality standards are carved into your culture from the start... People produce well and keep their sanity. They stick around longer. They build better systems. They don't bail the second they hit their revenue targets. Most leaders miss that the people who thrive in quality-first environments are not weaker performers. They're actually your strongest long-term players. The ones who build legacy instead of flash-in-the-pan results. But if you wait until AFTER the burnout epidemic hits... you're just slapping bandaids on a bleeding wound. Build it right from day one. Or enjoy the revolving door of talent walking out. Decide on your next move. Rock on, -Mel

  • Why I do what I do. He came in struggling. Now he balling. Proud of you Farouq! - Mel

  • Bring the problem you can't Google (The second half is yours. Your business, on the table.) Folks, Mel here. Let me tell you the part of August 27 that people underestimate. In the first half, Bryan and I show you what's working now. Hooks, offers, content, AI, closing. That part's valuable. But the part that changes things? The second half. Where you put your own business on the table. Here's the truth about being the person at the top. Your team can tell you what's happening. They can't tell you if you're wrong. Your peers are half-competitors. And AI gives you the textbook answer, the average-case version, when your situation was never average. So the biggest calls get made by one person. Alone. Usually at 11pm. Aug 27 is three hours where that's not the case. You describe what's actually stuck. I take it apart in front of the room. And you don't just get your answer. You get to hear other operators' situations too. Some of them are problems you haven't hit yet. That's the whole point of being in the room instead of in a Zoom room. Thursday, August 27. 1–4 PM. Suntec, Singapore. S$100. Come with a real question. Leave with a real answer. 👉 https://becomeamarketleader.com/minimastermind Mel

  • Your hesitation is costing you (More than you realize. Let me explain) Every day you hesitate costs you something. Not just money. Not just time. But MOMENTUM. Because the longer you wait to get support... The more you convince yourself you don't need it. The more you rationalize staying stuck. The more you normalize where you are right now. And before you know it... Six months passed. A year passed. And you're still in the exact same spot. Just with better excuses. Bryan and I work with people who understand the cost of waiting. People who know that hesitation isn't "being careful"... it's just fear dressed up nice. People who are ready to bet on themselves instead of playing it safe. If you're done paying the price of inaction... If you're ready to make a move that actually matters... [BOOK A CONSULTATION HERE] Or reach out directly: DM me: @thegreatmelvinsoh DM Bryan: @bryanangzw Stop hesitating. Start winning. Rock on, -Mel

  • 3 hours on Aug 27. What's actually working right now. (No theory. No trends. What's working in our businesses this month.) Folks, Mel here. Here's the uncomfortable part nobody says out loud. The plays that got you to 6-figures are not the plays that keep you there. How people buy has changed. What they trust changed. What makes them stop scrolling, what makes them reply, what makes them actually pull out a card. All of it moved in the last 12 months. On August 27, Bryan and I are sitting down in a room in Singapore for 3 hours to break down one thing: What's working now. Not what worked. Not what the gurus are recycling. What's pulling leads, closing deals and printing content in our businesses and our clients' businesses this month. We're covering the six things that matter: -Hooks that still stop people -Offers people actually buy -Content that brings buyers (not just likes) -The AI plays that pay -How deals close today -And the stop list: what to quit doing immediately Then we open the floor. You bring the thing you're actually stuck on, and we work it live. Wednesday, August 27. 1–4 PM. Suntec, Singapore. S$100. For coaches, consultants, service-based owners and sales pros doing 6-figures+ who'd rather see it than guess at it. 👉Grab your seat here Rock on, Mel

  • A lazy content is your best one (Stop overthinking your content) I'm about to tell you what will make every "content guru" lose their mind. Your best videos? Might be the ones you shoot laying in your bed. No ring light. No fancy backdrop. No scripted bullshit. Just you in bed. Talking. Sounds lazy, right? It's actually genius. Because people don't want polished content. They want REAL. I tell people this constantly… Be your authentic self. You want to lay in bed and talk about your problems? DO IT. You want to rant about something that's bothering you? DO IT. You want to show up without makeup, messy hair, raw emotions? DO. IT. Because that's what people actually connect with. Not your highlight reel. Not your "I've got it figured out" persona. Your REAL self. The version that's struggling. Figuring it out. Just being authentic. Think about the content YOU actually watch. When do you stop scrolling? When someone's in their car... voice cracking... talking about something real. When someone's clearly just woken up... no filter... sharing an honest thought. That's the shit that hits. But most people refuse to do it. They're too worried about "looking professional." Too scared of being judged. Too caught up in what they THINK content should look like. Meanwhile, the people willing to be raw? They're building armies of loyal followers. Because authenticity is currency. Your perfectly polished content blends in with the crowd. Your laid-back-in-bed realness? That stands out. So here's my challenge. Tomorrow morning... grab your gadget. Don't fix your hair. Don't worry about lighting. Just hit record and talk about something real. Post it. Watch what happens. The REAL you is what people are waiting for. Rock on, -Mel

  • They are the leading #1 team in Infinity FA ... But the hunger was apparent. We got clear. A vision that excited everyone. And backwards engineered the values, behaviours and culture that would sustain this big goal. In hours, everyone got clearer than ever before in the history of the team. Then everyone connected and bonded on a deep level. Not bad for a 12 hour day packed with fun and laughter. I been doing this for 10+ years and have helped so many top teams in real estate and financial advisory. If you want someone who clearly knows what they are doing, DM me @thegreatmelvinsoh and let's chat. - Mel

  • Why I pay for my team's AI tools (It's not generosity. It's strategy.) I pay for my team's AI subscriptions. I pre-load my custom prompts and plugins into their accounts. So they can use my exact systems easily. A colleague thought I was crazy at first. "Why are you giving them everything? They should figure it out themselves." But we didn't build a business… so my team could waste time "figuring things out." We must execute at the highest level possible. If I've already spent hundreds of hours testing prompts... Dialing in systems that actually work... Why would I make my team start from scratch? That's not teaching them resilience. That's just ego disguised as leadership. When you hand your team proven systems instead of making them reinvent the wheel... They become effective quickly. No learning curve. No unnecessary experiment. No wasted time. They just focus and execute. The goal isn't to hoard knowledge. It's to multiply results. One person with an efficient system? That's good. Five people executing that same system? You'll scale better. This is why we focus on proven frameworks. Scaling isn't about working harder. It's about having the right systems in place. And making sure your team can actually use them. Yes I cover the tools my team needs. That decision has made them significantly more effective. They produce better work. In less time. With fewer mistakes. Which means I'm not micromanaging. The business actually runs without me looking at every decision. If you're aiming to scale… build systems once. Give them the tools that already work. Then hand them to your team. When everyone's working from the same playbook… Your business grows. -Bryan

  • You find me so you can learn without reading 1000 books I am with Quing - who leads one of the top teams Insignia in Infinity FA at a fancy out of this world mansion in JB to do his team's 2 day retreat ... He sees me reading a bunch of books. He flips through the books and say - wow these are good. But I have no time to read. I say that's why folks hire me. >> I travel the world. >> I study all the time. >> I help all the top folks. >> I am in the game. And so I soak all the stuff that's happening on the frontline. And I tell it to you in a short time. Fun easy to grasp manner. So you have the EDGE. Without having to travel or read till 2am like a madman. You can read 100 books and watch 1000 videos (you have too much to do) Or you can find me. - Mel P.S. I have a few slots open to help folks in Sept. Schedule packed for Aug alr. If you are keen, DM me @thegreatmelvinsoh on IG.

  • Hiring from desperation never works (Don't be an option. Be the reward.) Most leaders don't understand how recruiting works. They find ONE good candidate... and suddenly they're too focused on them. Chasing hard. Following up three times a day. Bending their schedule. Practically BEGGING for a yes. You know what happens? Nothing. The candidate ghosts them. Not because they're not interested... but because their energy is wrong. Desperation is the kiss of death. Meanwhile there's always that ONE leader who's got multiple conversations going. Completely unbothered. They don't NEED any single person. And guess who people want to work with? Recruiting is the same as any other relationship. When you're desperate, people can feel it. And it repels them. When you've got options, everything shifts. You show up relaxed. Confident. Clear. You don't convince. You don't beg. You don't negotiate your value. That's exactly when people want IN. Think about it this way... When was the last time you chased something that was chasing you back twice as hard? It will never feel right. Your hiring should work the same way. Multiple conversations running. Always. So when someone hesitates, you're not sweating it. You've got three other solid prospects lined up. Then watch what happens. YOU become what they're chasing. Not the desperate leader begging them to join. Intentional people want to work with leaders who have standards. Who are selective. Who don't need them... but would be excited to have them. That's the energy that closes deals. It's the same energy that builds teams worth leading. Keep your pipeline full. Hire from abundance instead of scarcity. Rock on, -Mel

  • Clients don't like repeating themselves (It could hurt your retention) Most service providers aren't aware of this. They treat every client conversation like it's the first one. Every conversation starts from scratch. "Remind me what we last talked about..." "What was that issue again?" "Wait, what are we solving here?" Your clients don't like repeating themselves. And when you make them do it... You're telling them you don't care enough to remember. Think about it this way: When you visit a doctor… They don't ask you to explain again what you felt. They pull up your chart. They see past visits. Treatments. Symptoms. They pick up exactly from your last consulation. That's the standard we should be holding ourselves to. So I started creating "client dossiers." After every conversation with a client… I update their document. What we discussed. What problems came up. What solutions we explored. It goes into one living document. Whenever I jump on a conversation… I'm not scrambling to remember details. I pull up their dossier. I'm instantly up to speed. It makes you look sharp and prepared. It saves time because you recall unnecessary details. It makes things seamless if someone else needs to step in. AI makes this easy. Record your calls. Feed them into AI. It creates session summaries automatically. What used to take 15 minutes of manual note-taking… it's trimmed down to 30 seconds. Your clients notice when you remember details. When you reference something they mentioned three calls ago. When you connect dots they didn't even realize. This is why we focus on proven frameworks instead of winging it every conversation. Treat client relationships like professional partnerships. Not amateur hour. You understand why this matters. The next step is simple. Document every client conversation. -Bryan

  • DPG - a 100+ pax high performing team from Prudential - came to me months ago to train their team. I made them a promise that I will share my best stuff to their leaders AND to their folks. And include 3 follow-up sessions to ensure real change is made. Fast forward MONTHS later ... we are doing our final follow up session on Tues. A promise made months ago. A promise delivered. I just wrapped up a discussion with Eric and Alan on how we can make our final follow up session awesome. Yes, I check in even for a short follow up session to ensure I give my absolute best. When you work with us at Market Leaders, I hold true to the promises we make and deliver wholeheartedly on them. - Mel P.S. If you want us to help your team, DM me on IG @thegreatmelvinsoh or telegram me @themelvinx

  • Your events are forgettable (This is what you're missing) When's the last time a seminar actually changed you? Not "inspired" you for 48 hours... But actually changed you? Yeah... probably never. Because most coaching events are boring as hell. PowerPoint decks. Hotel ballrooms with shitty lighting. Awkward networking breaks… Where everyone's staring at their devices. It's the same tired format... Recycled over and over and somehow we just accepted… This is what seminars are supposed to look like. People don't show up to events because they need more information. (They can learn that shit on YouTube.) They show up because they want to be TRANSFORMED. They want to leave as a different person than when they walked in. Yet most coaches are still running events like it's a college lecture. Talking at people instead of moving them. I'm talking about creating an actual experience. Something immersive. Something people feel in their body… Not just understand in their head. Because real transformation doesn't happen in your prefrontal cortex. It happens in your nervous system. Your emotions. Your gut. So why are we still pretending that better slides = better results? The future of high-ticket coaching isn't better content. It's better FEELINGS. Events that shake people awake. That make them remember who they're capable of becoming. Not through information… but through experience. Most coaches wouldn't do this because it's risky. It's easier to hide behind a slide deck and "deliver value." But that's exactly why the market's getting bored. Your prospects have sat through a hundred seminars that blur together. They can't tell one from the other. So if you want them to actually pay attention to remember your event... To tell their friends about it for YEARS... You can't just be better. You have to be unique And unique doesn't come from your content. It comes from how you make people feel. Rock on, -Mel

  • Don't be the bottleneck of your business (It can’t grow if it needs you too much) If you disappeared for a month… would your business survive? Or would everything fall apart? For most people, it's the second one. Because their entire business lives in their head. The processes. The frameworks. The way things work. It's locked up there… which means nobody else can execute at their level. They become the bottleneck for everything. This is the problem with undocumented businesses. You can't scale. You can't delegate. You can't step away. Everyone depends on you entirely. Imagine if you have documented everything… where every process exists in a playbook. Event generation? There's a guide for that. Social media strategy? Step-by-step breakdown. Client follow-up? Exact scripts and examples. When everything is documented… your team doesn't need to ask you questions. They just reference the playbook. Your hires don't need weeks of training. They read the guide and start executing. You can actually take a break. Because the business runs without you. Most people know they should document. But they never do it. Because manually creating playbooks takes forever. You'd need to sit down and write everything out. Record videos. Make examples. Format it nicely. But who has time for that? This is where AI changes everything. I took 1000 hours of my coaching calls. Fed them into AI. It automatically created step-by-step playbooks for me. It pulled out the frameworks I kept teaching. The objections I kept handling. The processes I kept explaining. And turned them into guides my team could actually use. What used to take months... took hours nowadays. This business isn't trapped in my head anymore. It's documented. Systemized. Repeatable. Which means we can scale without losing quality. You've already explained your processes dozens of times. You've already trained people on what works. That knowledge exists. It's just scattered. Turn it into systems. Make it repeatable. Use those systems efficiently. Your business can grow without the chaos. -Bryan

  • Haha everyday folks forward me slides and class pics of their instructors repeating what I have taught in my sessions before They know coz they know it came from me. I am totally fine. Life is abundant. They need to feed their family and lifestyle too. And they must have liked what they heard to repeat it! I accept my role is to trailblaze. Be the first Be the best And everyone else can when I leave 6 years later use that as a model to copy and walk on Rock on folks! - Mel

  • The gap keeps getting wider (And every day you wait makes it worse) There's a gap between where you are and where you want to be. You know it's there. You think about it constantly. And every day you don't close that gap... It gets a little wider. A little harder to cross. Not because you're lazy. Not because you don't care. But because you're trying to build the bridge by yourself... With no blueprint. No guidance. No one telling you if you're even using the right materials. Bryan and I work with people who are tired of building alone. People who want someone to hand them the blueprint and help them execute it. People who are ready to close the gap faster than they ever could solo. If you're done struggling in silence... If you want to actually finish what you started... [BOOK A CONSULTATION HERE] Or reach out directly: DM me: @thegreatmelvinsoh DM Bryan: @bryanangzw Close the gap. Today. Rock on, -Mel

  • Just got back from a car dealership ... I'm working with 2 top ones. I asked about their top sales people. And matched their traits to the top sales people in leading FA teams. Real estate sales teams. Top ID sales people too. All of whom I help. And I realise lots of common similarities. Hunger Aggressive Focused Adaptable to different people Disciplined Can make people feel at ease Explain things well I also notice the common traits of LOUSY sales people. Waiting for things to happen Passive and not hungry Wanna talk and do things their way vs serve clients Time just slips away -> not sure what they do too And I conclude ... No wonder winners win and losers lose. Skills I can teach. Mentality you must bring. This is also why a few do WAY BETTER than everyone else. It's clear as daylight why. - Mel

  • Strike while they're hot (Waiting is costing you clients) When a hot lead reaches out... how long do you wait before booking a conversation? If you said "a few days" or "when my calendar opens up"... You're bleeding potential clients. And you probably don't even know it. I saw someone almost lose what should've been an easy close. Hot lead. Asked the right questions. Ready to move forward. But they played it cool. Wanted to "give them enough time" What they did is let a red-hot prospect go ice cold. By the time they followed up? Ghost town. Here's what most people miss about hot leads: They don't stay hot for long. It's like pulling bread out of the oven... then waiting a week to serve it. When someone reaches out... they're ready RIGHT THEN. Their challenge is front of mind. Frustration is peaking. They want to solve it. But every day you wait? That urgency fades. They start second-guessing. Talk to your competitors. Convince themselves they can figure it out alone. Or they just vanish into thin air. The move? Book that conversation within 24 hours. "But Mel, will I seem desperate?" Nope. You'll look like a professional who actually wants to help. Like someone who respects momentum. Flip the script for a second: They reached out because they have a challenge that needs attention. Not next Tuesday. Not when your schedule clears. Right away. So when you respond quickly... You're showing them you see the urgency. You understand what they're dealing with. But when you drag your feet? You're saying: "Your situation can wait. I'm busy." Even if you don't mean it... that's what they hear. Here's what I've learned closing clients for years. Speed wins. Not because you're being pushy. But because you're capturing momentum when it exists. Miss that window... and it's gone. So next time a qualified lead hits your inbox... Don't overthink it. Don't "give them space to think." Book the conversation. Strike while they're hot. Or watch someone else close the client you should've had. Rock on, -Mel

  • How to never run out of content (It’s easy even with fewer ideas) Ever wonder how some people post content every single day without burning out? Most people look for fresh ideas. They stress about being "repetitive." They worry their audience notice the same thing. But what they don't understand… you don't need more ideas. You need to use the same ideas just in different formats. When I record one strategy session... I don't just use it once. I turn that one piece of content into: ✅An email teaching the concept. ✅A social post highlighting the key insight. ✅A carousel breaking down the steps. ✅A short video showing the application. ✅Even a lead magnet walking through the framework. Same core idea. Five different formats. Here's why this works… Different people consume content differently. Some prefer reading emails. Others scroll social. Some want visuals. When you repurpose... you're not being repetitive. You're being accessible. Context changes everything. An email allows you to go deeper. A social post grabs attention instantly. A carousel makes complex ideas simple. A video adds personality. Same message. Different delivery. Different impact. Your audience isn't sitting there tracking every idea you share. They're busy. They miss stuff. They need reminders. Repetition isn't your enemy. Obscurity is. The businesses that are remembered aren't the ones creating different content every day. They're the ones who take their proven ideas... and distribute them everywhere. One core message. Multiple formats. Maximum reach. This is how you stay consistent without burning out. How you build authority without overcomplicating things. How you make sure your message actually lands… Instead of getting lost in the crowd. Don’t stress about having fresh ideas every morning. Think about how to leverage the ideas you already have. One piece of strategic content can fuel your marketing for weeks. You just need a system for repurposing it. -Bryan
