  • I think you already know that words like twenty plenty internet etc. are very often pronounced without /t/. 💡The rule is simple: we omit /t/ after /n/ after a stressed vowel ⚡️ What might come as a shock though is this rule works in some less frequent words too. That’s where hearing a word without /t/ might sound unusual. ✅ Watch to the short video below and notice a word that’s first pronounced with /t/ and then, seconds later, without /t/. ❓What’s is this word?

  • Well, I poured my SOUL into this one. I do have a lot to say about controlling your skill (any skill) in a spontaneous setting, and I really think this mini-article can help a lot of you guys to progress faster. Looking forward to your reactions and comments🔥❤️ https://teletype.in/@youraccentcoach/How-to-control-it-all

  • Tell me 🧐 If you’re on this channel, it means you’ve been trying to improve your pronunciation one way or another And I bet sometimes it feels like you’re stuck — so this week I’d like to try to help you get UNstuck. 💡 In the poll below, choose what kind of thoughts run in your head when you feel like there’s no progress. I’ll pick the one that gets most votes and address it in a breakdown later this week 🔥

  • Have you seen the Odyssey yet?🌊 Even if you haven’t —or not going to, you probably will find yourself in a conversation about this movie soon. No escape. To help you master the Odyssey talk, I’ve prepared a short lesson where I break down the pronunciation of the trickiest words from the story (mostly names) 💡Watch it and repeat the words along with me. Some of the pronunciations are really surprising ☺️ Enjoy ✨

  • This is your -absolutely unserious- reminder that different accents or speaking styles perform different functions 😄 Being able to switch accordingly goes a long way!

  • ☀️ Wanted to share a couple of mid-summer updates with you all 1 I won another, seventh, Best Speaker award with my spontaneous evaluation speech: I had to listen to all of the speakers of the evening and craft a speech on the go commenting on their use of language and literary devices. Exciting 🥳 2 I challenged myself to do the most iconic 10K race in London and set my first personal benchmark 🏃‍♂️ 3 I finished creating one of the most AMAZINGLY USEFUL chapters in my new pronunciation course: how to soften negative feedback and NOT sound too harsh or dismissive declining an offer. Those who’ll be doing this module with me are IN LUCK 😄

  • Here’s a great pronunciation drill for you Since this video has already reached 21k views and keeps blowing up, I decided to post a brief follow up on here ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️ Let’s work on the “you’re going to want to…” construction 1️⃣ First up, it’s is…

  • Here’s a great pronunciation drill for you Since this video has already reached 21k views and keeps blowing up, I decided to post a brief follow up on here ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️ Let’s work on the “you’re going to want to…” construction 1️⃣ First up, it’s is such a great way to soften your advice and create what we could call persuasive undertone. Compare: 1. You should do this (direct) 2. You’re going to want to do this (indirect, soft, but still persuasive) 2️⃣ Here’s how to pronounce it naturally 💡reduce “going to want to” ➡️ “gonna wanna” 💡link it to “you’re” ⚡️Listen to the examples below, slow and fast, and repeat: You’re going to want to grab some coffee. You’re going to want to check twice. You’re going to want to write this down. You’re going to want to save the receipts. You’re going to want to read it carefully.
