IELTS Writing Task 1&2 The charts below show the proportion of people’s total spending on different commodities and services in a particular European country in 1998 and 2008. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant. Task 2 Many companies sponsor sports as a way of advertising themselves. Some people think this is good for the world of sport, while others think it is negative. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. I got these questions in my IELTS writing exam in July last year. I am grateful that I got 8 from Task2 and 7 from Task1. If you want to try writing one of these tasks, feel free to send it in the comments. I will check your essays. Prioritizing education and healthcare is essential for a nation's development. Education provides individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to contribute to the economy. For instance, governments that invest in free or subsidized education, as seen in countries like Finland, tend to have highly skilled and innovative workforces. Furthermore, a strong healthcare system ensures that citizens are healthy, productive, and less prone to diseases. Creating a happy and better life for the people can be depend on enhancing well being and good health among citizens of the country. If governments neglect education and healthcare, societies may face increased poverty, inequality, and preventable illnesses, leading to higher mortality rates. This highlights the importance of channeling substantial funding into these sectors. Cultural and sports facilities are equally important for fostering community engagement and national pride. Theatres and cinemas preserve cultural heritage by showcasing local traditions and stories. For example, Registan area in Uzbekistan not only promotes Uzbek culture but also attracts millions of tourists annually, significantly boosting the economy. Additionally, sports facilities promote healthier lifestyles among citizens, reducing the long-term strain on healthcare systems. If governments stop funding cultural and sports infrastructure, societies might lose valuable avenues for recreation, cultural preservation, and national pride. As a result, conflicts may arise among the population. In conclusion, while it is essential to prioritize spending on healthcare and education, governments should not neglect the cultural and sporting aspects of society.
