  • A beautiful heart touching post I came across on X @sipsofqahwaa: “I was taking Hifdh for this one little student of mine & his Qur’ān genuinely left me speechless. The cover was peeling off, corners folded, pages crinkled with age, faded pencil markings, tea stains here & there. I struggled to even turn the pages properly fearing they’d tear. At first, I assumed it was just neglect. Maybe he didn’t care for it properly, maybe it was just thrown around like any other book. When I asked him, he softly said, “I’ve been reading from this same Qur’ān since I was a little kid. I spend six hours with it every single day.” That’s when it struck me, this wasn’t the wear & tear of carelessness. Every page had been visited again & again, maybe while memorising, maybe while fixing a mistake. That mushaf wasn’t old, it was loved. May Allah allow us to build that kind of closeness with His words. Tears❤️‍🩹”

  • How many reminders, how many deaths do we need to witness to waken up our souls and remind ourselves that we are just guests here in this Dunya and we will return to our Rabb just in a short time..

  • Brother Asif Meherali started learning Arabic at the age of 60 years old and is said to be a convert, yet he was determined and dedicated to spread the language of Qur’an, the words of our Rabb. A beautiful brother, and we judge from the apparent and Allah Knows Best, and the apparent is, Allah Azzawajal answered his Du’a and blessed him with the ‘ilm of Arabic language out of the love he had in his heart towards the language of the Speech of our Rabb.

It is indeed a deeply sorrowful day for me and for all the students of the Qur’an. Our beloved Ustadh, Brother Asif Meherali, has returned to his Creator. Words fall short in capturing the immense impact Br. Asif had on our lives. He devoted his life wholeheartedly to the service of the Qur’an, teaching tirelessly and selflessly with profound sincerity, clarity, and kindness. He was a noble soul—gentle, humble, and generous—whose mastery in teaching Qur’anic Arabic made even the most complex grammar rules beautifully simple and accessible. Through his soft-spoken manner and patient approach, he nurtured in us a deep love for the Qur’an. His legacy is not just in his knowledge, but in the hearts he inspired and the generations of students he uplifted with his quiet strength and unwavering commitment. He was a founder of LQ Toronto (LQT), where he served with dedication, embodying the spirit of its mission to spread Qur’anic understanding. His presence was a blessing, his absence is a loss beyond words. May Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى,  forgive his shortcomings, envelop him in mercy, honour his resting place expand his grave with His “noor”, and grant him the highest place in Jannat al-Firdaws. May He bless his family and loved ones with strength, patience, and peace during this difficult time, and keep all of us firm upon the path of faith and righteousness. Amin. Our Lord reminds us: ‎يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ “O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.” Surah al-Baqarah (2:153): Indeed, nothing befalls us except by the will of Allah. In His perfect wisdom, He reminds us to turn to Him in patience and prayer, and to place our hopes in the life to come. ‎بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا ‎وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ “But you prefer the worldly life, while the Hereafter is better and more enduring.” Surah al-Aʿlā (87:16–17): We are all on a journey toward the ultimate reality. One day, everything of this world will fade—except what we did sincerely for Allah and in service to others. Wassalaam, Nisar Shaikh

So return…. Before your feet are held still in the grave. Before your name is whispered in past tense. Before your soul is asked, “What have you sent forth? This world is fleeting. But your meeting with Allāh, that is forever

The best advice I can give you today. STOP DEPENDING ON AND EXPECTING FROM PEOPLE. As you go through seasons of life you will quickly realize much of hurt, resentment, cynicism and detachment is because you place too much trust in people and expect alot from people. Flip that expectation towards Allah alone! 📚 ❝Whoever is afflicted with poverty and seeks relief from people, then he will never be relieved, but whoever seeks relief from Allah, then Allah will soon give him relief, either by quickly sufficing him or causing his death.❞ - Prophet Muhammad [Sunan Ibn Majah] ✤ Stop asking people for money. ✤ Stop asking people to help you get married. ✤ Stop coveting what others have. ✤ Stop complaining too much to people. ✤ Stop begging people for appreciation, love and comfort. ✤ Stop have hopes that others will treat you like you treat them. ✤ Stop being afraid of losing people. ❝And verily for everything that a slave loses there is a substitute, but the one who loses Allah will never find anything to replace Him.❞ - Ibn al-Qayyim (ra) YOU. WILL. BE. DISAPPOINTED. If you place too much hope in people. Rather work on being self sufficient and depending on Allah alone. The Angel Jibreel came to the Prophet ﷺ and he said, 📚 ❝O Muhammad, live as you wish, for you will die. Work as you wish, for you will be repaid accordingly. Love whomever you wish, for you will be separated. Know that the nobility of the believer is in prayer at night and his honor is in his independence of the people.❞ [al-Muʻjam al-Awsaṭ 4410] When you do this people will love you and the more you ask Allah, depend on Allah – Allah will love you. 📚 ❝By Him in Whose Hand my life is, it is better for anyone of you to take a rope and cut the wood (from the forest) and carry it over his back and sell it (as a means of earning his living) rather than to ask a person for something and that person may give him or not.❞ - Prophet Muhammad [Sahih Bukhari] CUT THE ROPE WITH PEOPLE & HOLD ONTO THE ROPE OF ALLAH. Make dua to Allah to free you from the need of others. Focus on helping people, focus on being a giver, focus on being a healer and inshaAllah as long as you are helping someone else Allah will continue to help you. ❝Whoever relies on Allah (has Tawakkul), He is sufficient for him.❞ {Surah At-Talaaq 65: Verse 3} 📚 ❝Allah helps the servant as long as he helps his brother.❞ - Prophet Muhammad [Sahih Muslim] 🤲 O Allah! I seek refuge with You from worry and grief, from incapacity and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, from being heavily in debt and from being overpowered by (other) men. Ameen!

“Don’t cry! We’re all Martyrs” Do you remember this man in #Gaza? He buried his first son. Then his second. And today… he buries his third. Still, he stands. Raises his hands and says: “Oh Lord, I am content with You — so be content with me.” https://x.com/doamuslims/status/1939616918471590175?s=46&t=zS1tuN3hqlJnPdWO6rzhcg 🔗 Telegram: t.me/doamuslims 🔗 X: x.com/doamuslims 🔗 WhatsApp: shorturl.at/movz9 🔗 Instagram: instagram.com/doamuslims
