I feel like a lot of people/creators in the community would be very liberal and super edgy if we were abroad. Hmm.

So all of us hear about being ambitious, let this be your first lesson on Surrendered Ambition. "የምታደርገውን ሁሉ ለእግዚአብሔር ዐደራ ስጥ፤ ዕቅድህም ሁሉ ይሳካልሃል።" -- ምሳሌ 16:3

Suppose you're deciding whether to pursue a particular career. You could approach it like: “God, this is what I want. I'm going to pursue it no matter what.” That's not really Proverbs 16:3. Instead: “God, this is what I desire. I'm going to work diligently, but I surrender this desire to You. If this is good and according to Your will, establish it. If it isn't, redirect me.” Then you actually work, while refusing to make the outcome your ultimate source of security. Committing your works to God gives your mind stability rather than allowing cares and fears to constantly throw you off course. But ultimately the verse isn't about getting successful plans. It's about having your plans brought under God's direction and your heart brought into dependence on Him. So Proverbs 16:3 is ultimately about surrendered ambition: plan, work, pray, depend on God, and let Him determine what stands.
