The Morals of Ahl al-Bayt 👥 Excerpt from a speech by Āyatollāh Sayyed Sājid Ali Naqavi: 💳 “We must strive to teach ourselves and our children the noble morals of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be with them). It is narrated from Imām Hassan (peace be with him) that he once passed by a man who insulted him and used abusive language. The Imam simply continued on his way, ignoring the man completely, as though the words were not directed at him at all. Such is the character and conduct of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be with them): (patience, dignity, and restraint). قالَ أميرُالمُؤمِنين عليه السلام: فَإِنَّ الدُّنْيـا أَدْبَرَتْ، وَآذَنَـتْ بِوَدَاعٍ،وَإِنَّ الاْخِرَةَ قَدْ أَقْبَلَتْ وَأَشْرَفَتْ بِاطِّلاَعٍ،أَلاَ وَإِنَّ الْيَوْمَ المِضْمَارَ، وَغَدا السِّبَاقَ،وَالسَّبَـقَةُ الْجَنـَّةُ، وَالْغايَةُ النّـارُ. نهج البلاغة خ٢٨ حضرت على عليه السلام فرمود: اينك دنيا روى گردانده است و وداع مى كند و آخرت روى آورده است و طلايه هاى آن نمايان شده است. هشدار! كه امروز زمان تمرين و آزمايش است و فردا هنگام مسابقه، مسابقه اى كه بردش بهشت است و باخت آن، آتش. قال رسول الله ﷺ: إذا ماتَ الإنسانُ انقَطَعَ عَمَلُهُ إلاّ مِن ثَلاثٍ: إلاّ مِن صَدَقَةٍ جاريَةٍ أو عِلمٍ يُنتَفَعُ بِهِ أو وَلَدٍ صالِحٍ يَدعُو لَهُ؛ ميزان الحكمه، ح ۱۴۲۸۷ پيامبر اعظم ﷺ: با مرگ انسان، رشته عملش قطع مى‌شود، مگر از سه چيز: صدقه جارى (و ماندگار)، دانشى كه مردم از آن بهره‏‌مند شوند، و فرزند نيكوكارى كه برايش دعا كند. الإمامُ الصّادقُ عليه السلام: إنّما الاُمورُ ثلاثةٌ؛ أمرٌ بَيِّنٌ رُشدُهُ فَيُتَّبَعُ ، و أمرٌ بَيِّنٌ غَيُّهُ فَيُجتَنَبُ ، و أمرٌ مُشكِلٌ يُرَدُّ عِلمُهُ إلى اللّه و إلى رسولِهِ، قالَ رسولُ اللّه ﷺ: حَلالٌ بَيِّنٌ، و حَرامٌ بَيِّنٌ، و شُبُهاتٌ بَينَ ذلكَ، فَمَن تَرَكَ الشُّبُهاتِ نَجا مِنَ المُحَرَّماتِ، و مَن أخَذَ بِالشُّبُهاتِ ارتَكَبَ المُحَرَّماتِ و هَلَكَ مِن حيثُ لا يَعلَمُ. اصول كافي ج١ ص٦٨ امام صادق عليه السلام: امور سه گونه اند؛ امرى كه درستى آن روشن است ، پس بايد آن را دنبال كرد، امرى كه نادرستى اش آشكار است، پس بايد از آن دورى نمود، و امرى مبهم است، پس بايد علم آن را به خدا و رسولش ارجاع داد. رسول خدا ﷺ فرمود : حلالى روشن وجود دارد و حرامى روشن و در اين ميان امورى است مشتبه و مبهم، پس هر كه شبهات را رها كند، از حرامها نجات يابد و هر كه شبهات را پى گيرد مرتكب حرامها شود و ندانسته به هلاكت در افتد. Imam Sadiq (peace be with him): “Concerns are three types: matters that are obviously correct, thus one should pursue it. (Then) there are clearly immoral and incorrect matters, therefore one should refrain from it. (Lastly,) there are unclear and ambiguous matters, and one must defer it to God and His Prophet (for guidance and clarity). The Prophet (peace be with him and his progeny): ‘The lawful and permissible is clear and the unlawful and impermissible is clear. And between these two is the unclear, doubts, and ambiguous matters. Therefore, whoever avoids doubts and unclear matters will be saved from the unlawful. 💬 Ayatollah Sayyid Shahab al-Din al-Mar'ashi al-Najafi (d. 1411 AH): "What is meant by wisdom (Hikmah) in the noble verse and the aforementioned narration is not philosophy, which is the heritage of the Greeks, nor Western philosophy, which the Europeans have handed down to us. Rather, what is intended is the knowledge through which souls attain life and are healed from their ailments. And what else could this be but the Islamic religious sciences, true beliefs, and the mysteries of the universe, on the condition that they are taken from those firmly grounded in knowledge, for whoever clings to their hem has indeed attained salvation. How could it be otherwise, when their knowledge is derived from the divine sources and drawn from the lights of the Prophets, the Messengers, and the near-appointed envoys? It is this knowledge that is "neither of the East nor of the West; whose oil would almost glow, even if untouched by fire. How excellent are the words of the great muhaqiq, the scholar, the servant of the sciences of the guiding and rightly guided Imams, Mulla Muhammad Tahir b. شهيد القائد سيّد عارف حسين الحسيني (رضوان الله عليه) Today marks the 38th martyrdom anniversary of Martyred Leader Sayyed Ārif Hussain al-Hussaini (رضوان الله عليه). A message from Imām Khomeini (رضوان الله عليه) on the martyrdom of Shaheed Hussaini: ‘The loyalist and lover of Islam and its revolution; the defender of the oppressed and deprived; son of Sayyedul Shohada Aba Abdillah Al Hussain (peace be with him). We should think deeply by putting the example of martyr Sayyed Ārif in front of us. There is no greater achievement for a pious than to leave his abode with wounds that are medals on his chest, and his face covered in blood, in the struggle for justice, and in the highest stage of piety. He inspired thousands of other thirsty people to drink this beverage of light. Pakistan’s blessed people are from a pro-revolution nation. They aspire to live according to Islamic rulings, with which we have an ancient, deep, and faithful relationship. It is imperative for them to keep martyr Sayyed Ārif’s thoughts alive and to pass his message on. Nonetheless, the road to fight against American Islam is very difficult and puzzling. Therefore, it is necessary that all possible factors should be made clear for the impoverished Muslim masses. If this work would have been done through Islamic schools then there is a high possibility that he, Sayyed Ārif Hussain Al Hussaini would be living amongst us today.
