The annual football tournament that is held between the different departments of Hawassa University College of Medicine and Health Sciences is here! The tournament which was organized by the office of the Dean of Students' Services in collaboration with the College's Students' Council begun today in the presence of the college's higher administrators and distinguished guests such as Mr. Zinaw Sarmiso ( Managing Director), Dr. Kibru Kifle (Health Education and Service Corporate Director), and Mr. Tegegn Halala (Dean of Students' Services) and the students of our college. The guests of the day got the tournament underway with a speech that urged the students to entertain their minds and body while keeping up with the necessary work and commitment that is required in their studies and an assurance that the college's administration would support the students' need to have such opportunities. Four very entertaining and competitive matches were played today between eight different departments which were filled with many beautiful goals and plays that kept the supporters on the edge of their seats. The tournament will continue tomorrow with two exciting games; HI vs PC-I&PC-II at 2:00, and Pharmacy vs Intern Doctors at 4:00. These two games will mark the end of the first stage of the knock-out games. The next round will be held the next weekend between the qualified teams. The games will start at the exact time so the teams as well as their supporters are advised to be there on time. Remember to follow the college's rules and regulations while you support or participate in this tournament and remember to keep yourselves out of trouble. Enjoy the beautiful game!
