Being a teacher is both exhausting and rewarding at the same time and I felt this exactly why This morning, one of my students, who hadn’t been able to participate the class before the holiday, surprised me. She had promised completely on her own to bring vodiy patir and qurt. I never asked, yet she remembered and kept her word. That truly made my day. And, in the evening another student came with a gift as well. He’s originally from the heart of Fergana’s pottery tradition, and he brought me several beautiful handmade pieces. A person who keeps their word is truly admirable. Knowing how much I love pottery, he chose something meaningful and lovely.
