بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم بلوغ المرام من أدلة الأحكام - الحافظ ابن حجر العسقلاني رحمه الله THE COMPREHENSIVE BOOK – كِتَابُ الجَامِعُ- 1079 REMEMBRANCE OF ALLĀH AND SUPPLICATIONS 1345. Narrated ‘Umar (may Allāh be pleased with him): Whenever Allāh's Messenger (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) raised his hands in supplication, he did not lower them till he wiped his face with them. [N1] [At-Tirmidhī reported it]. [N1] Shaykh Muḥammad ibn ‘Uthaymīn (may Allāh have mercy on him) was asked about the ruling on wiping the face with the hands after making Du‘ā’. He (may Allāh have mercy on him) replied: “Wiping the face with the hands after making Du‘ā’ is more likely to be not prescribed in Islām, because the Ḥadīths that have been narrated concerning that are weak. Shaykh Al-Islām (may Allāh have mercy on him) said: They cannot be used as evidence. If we are not certain or we think it most likely that this is not prescribed, then it is better not to do it, because Islamic rulings cannot be proven on the basis of mere conjecture, unless we believe it to be mostly likely to be the case. What I think about wiping the face with the hands after Du‘ā’ is that it is not Sunnah. As is well known, the Prophet Muḥammad (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) prayed for rain during his Friday khuṭbah and raised his hands, but it is not narrated that he wiped his face with them. Similarly in a number of Ḥadīths it says that the Prophet Muḥammad (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) raised his hands, but there is no proof that he wiped his face.” (Majmū‘ Fatāwā Ibn ‘Uthaymīn, 14/question no. 781) اَللّٰهُ أَعْلَم (To be continued…) ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ الحمد لله ربّ العالمين Please Share Telegram: https://t.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah Facebook: https://fb.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم بلوغ المرام من أدلة الأحكام - الحافظ ابن حجر العسقلاني رحمه الله THE COMPREHENSIVE BOOK – كِتَابُ الجَامِعُ- 1078 REMEMBRANCE OF ALLĀH AND SUPPLICATIONS 1344. Narrated Salmān (may Allāh be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allāh (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said, "Indeed! Your Rabb is Ḥayiyy (Shy) and Karīm (Generous) and is ashamed to turn away empty the hands of a slave when he raises them [N1] to Him." [Reported by Al-Arba‘ah except An-Nasā’ī. Al-Ḥākim graded it Ṣaḥīḥ (authentic)] [N1] This ḥadīth states that the raising of one's hands while making a supplication is Mustaḥabb (a commendable act). اَللّٰهُ أَعْلَم (To be continued…) ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ الحمد لله ربّ العالمين Please Share Telegram: https://t.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah Facebook: https://fb.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم بلوغ المرام من أدلة الأحكام - الحافظ ابن حجر العسقلاني رحمه الله THE COMPREHENSIVE BOOK – كِتَابُ الجَامِعُ- 1077 REMEMBRANCE OF ALLĀH AND SUPPLICATIONS 1343. Narrated Anas (may Allāh be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allāh (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said, "Supplication between the Adhān and Iqāmah [N1] is not rejected." [An-Nasā'ī and others reported it, and Ibn Ḥibbān and others graded it Ṣaḥīḥ (authentic)]. [N1] We are thus informed that certain times are preferable for supplication, like last third of the night, night and at the end of obligatory prayers (just before finishing with salām). People enquired of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) as to what should they ask for between the Adhān and Iqāmah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) stated that they should ask Allāh for their safety in their day-to-day worldly matters as well as the soundness of their Faith while pursuing their religious activities. اَللّٰهُ أَعْلَم (To be continued…) ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ الحمد لله ربّ العالمين Please Share Telegram: https://t.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah Facebook: https://fb.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم بلوغ المرام من أدلة الأحكام - الحافظ ابن حجر العسقلاني رحمه الله THE COMPREHENSIVE BOOK – كِتَابُ الجَامِعُ- 1076 REMEMBRANCE OF ALLĀH AND SUPPLICATIONS 1341. Narrated Abū Mūsā al-Ash‘arī (may Allāh be pleased with him): Allāh’s Messenger (ﷺ) said to me, "O ‘Abdullāh bin Qais, shall I not direct you to one of the treasures of Paradise?[N1] : لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاَللَّهِ lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh There is no might and no power except in Allāh." [Agreed upon]. An-Nasā’ī added, "There is no refuge from Allāh except (by returning) to Him." 1342. Narrated an-Nu‘mān bin Bashīr (may Allāh be pleased with him): The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Verily, supplication is worship."[N2] [Reported by al-Arba‘ā’ and at-Tirmidhī graded it Ṣaḥīḥ (authentic)]. He (at-Tirmidhī) also reported from the ḥadīth of Anas (may Allāh be pleased with him): attributing it with the Allāh’s Messenger (ﷺ) wording: "Supplication is the essence of worship." He (at-Tirmidhī) also reported from the ḥadīth of Abū Huraira (may Allāh be pleased with him): attributing it to Allāh’s Messenger (ﷺ) that he said: "Nothing is more honorable before Allāh than supplication." [Ibn Ḥibbān and al-Ḥākim graded it Ṣaḥīḥ (authentic)] [N1] It means that the reward for the recitation of these words is a valuable and precious reward kept stored with Allāh in paradise, just as a treasure the most precious of a person’s wealth is kept stored in a safe and secure place. [N2] It means that supplication is a kind of worship. It may also mean that 'supplication' in the Verse "And your Lord said: 'Invoke Me [i.e. believe in My Oneness (Islamic Monotheism)] (and ask Me for anything) I will respond to your (invocation). Verily! Those who scorn My worship [i.e. do not invoke Me, and do not believe in My Oneness, (Islamic Monotheism)] will surely enter Hell in humiliation!'" [Sūrah Ghāfir 40:60], here implies worship, i.e. "worship Me and I will respond to you..." اَللّٰهُ أَعْلَم (To be continued…) ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ الحمد لله ربّ العالمين Please Share Telegram: https://t.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah Facebook: https://fb.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم بلوغ المرام من أدلة الأحكام - الحافظ ابن حجر العسقلاني رحمه الله THE COMPREHENSIVE BOOK – كِتَابُ الجَامِعُ- 1075 REMEMBRANCE OF ALLĀH AND SUPPLICATIONS 1339. Narrated Abū Sa‘īd Al-Khudrī (may Allāh be pleased with him) Allāh's Messenger (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said, "The lasting good deeds [N1] are: (the saying of) لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اَللَّهُ, وَسُبْحَانَ اَللَّهِ, وَاَللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ, وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ, وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاَللَّهِ [Lā ilāha illā-Allāh, wa Subḥān-Allāh, wa-Allāhu Akbar, wal-Ḥamdu lillāh, wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh] 'Nothing deserves to be worshipped except Allāh; Allāh is free from every imperfection; Allāh is the Greatest; Praise be to Allāh; there is no might and no power except in Allāh.'" [Reported by an-Nasā'ī. Ibn Ḥibbān and al-Ḥākim graded it Ṣaḥīḥ (authentic)]. 1340. Narrated Samurah bin Jundub (may Allāh be pleased with him): Allāh's Messenger (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said, "The most beloved words to Allāh are four. It does not matter which of them you begin with: سُبْحَانَ اَللَّهِ, وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ, وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اَللَّهُ, وَاَللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ [Subḥān-Allāh, wal-Ḥamdu lillāh, wa lā ilāha illā-Allāh, wa-Allāhu Akbar] 'Allāh is free from every imperfection; Praise be to Allāh; nothing deserves to be worshipped except Allāh; and Allāh is the Greatest.'" [Muslim reported it] [N1] Various explanations suggest that the reward of all acts of obedience to Allāh and good deeds, shall remain to the credit of the one who performs them. One of those deeds is the invocation of these five Kalimah (words) اَللّٰهُ أَعْلَم (To be continued…) ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ الحمد لله ربّ العالمين Please Share Telegram: https://t.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah Facebook: https://fb.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم بلوغ المرام من أدلة الأحكام - الحافظ ابن حجر العسقلاني رحمه الله THE COMPREHENSIVE BOOK – كِتَابُ الجَامِعُ- 1074 REMEMBRANCE OF ALLĀH AND SUPPLICATIONS 1337. Narrated Abū Hurairah (may Allāh be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said, “Whoever says a hundred times in a day: سُبْحَانَ اَللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ Subḥān Allāh wa-bi-ḥamdih 'Allāh is free from every imperfection, and His is the praise' his sins will be removed from him, even if they were as much as the foam of the sea." [Agreed upon]. 1338. Narrated Juwayriyah (may Allāh be pleased with her) daughter of Al-Ḥārith [N1]: The Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said to me, "Since leaving you I have said four phrases which, if weighed against all you have said today, would prove to be heavier: [N2] سُبْحَانَ اَللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ, عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ, وَرِضَا نَفْسِهِ, وَزِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ, وَمِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ Subḥān Allāh wa-bi-ḥamdih, ‘adada khalqih, wa-riḍā nafsih, wa-zinata ‘arshih, wa-midāda kalimātih 'Allāh is free from every imperfection, and His is the praise (equal) to the number of His creatures, in accordance with His Good Pleasure, (equal) to the weight of His Throne and to the (extent) of the ink of His Words."" [Muslim reported it]. [N1] She was an Umm al-Mu'minīn and was among the captives of the battle of al-Muraysī‘. She was part of the share of Thābit bin Qays bin Shammās (may Allāh be pleased with him), who agreed with her to buy her freedom. The Prophet (ﷺ) then paid him and married her. The Ṣaḥābah (may Allāh be pleased with them) then freed her people while saying, "These are the in-laws of the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ).” So, she was the most beneficial woman for her people. She died in the year 56 H. [N2] This Ḥadīth is so narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) left for prayer while Juwayriyah (may Allāh be pleased with her) was busy in Allāh's remembrance. When the Prophet (ﷺ) came back after the prayer at the time of Ḍuḥā (a time between sunrise and noon), he still found Juwayriyah (may Allāh be pleased with her) engrossed in the remembrance of Allāh. Thereupon, the Prophet (ﷺ) stated the above words. This Ḥadīth regards these words to be of an extremely lofty and virtuous import. It further elaborates that the reward of such unlimited repetition of words of remembrance shall be earned by reciting the words prescribed in this Ḥadīth. In the narration of Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allāh be pleased with him), reported by Muslim, it is mentioned that the Prophet (ﷺ) recited these four phrases three times each. اَللّٰهُ أَعْلَم (To be continued…) ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ الحمد لله ربّ العالمين Please Share Telegram: https://t.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah Facebook: https://fb.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم بلوغ المرام من أدلة الأحكام - الحافظ ابن حجر العسقلاني رحمه الله THE COMPREHENSIVE BOOK – كِتَابُ الجَامِعُ- 1073 REMEMBRANCE OF ALLĀH AND SUPPLICATIONS 1336. Narrated Abū Ayyūb Al-Anṣārī (may Allāh be pleased with him): Allāh's Messenger (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said, "Whoever says ten times: لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ [Lā ilāha illā-Allāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, wa huwa ‘alā kulli shay’in qadīr] 'There is nothing worthy of worship except Allāh, Alone, Who has no partner. His is the Kingdom, and His is the Praise, and He has Power over everything' will be (in reward) like he who freed four of the descendants of Ismā‘īl (Ishmael) from slavery." [N1] [Agreed upon]. [N1] We should know that this ḥadīth, as well as other similar aḥādīth, contain words to the effect that whosoever does such and such thing, shall acquire such and such reward or all of his sins shall be forgiven. There is a difference of opinion among the scholars as to what this actually means. Some maintain that the reward shall be given to the one who always does it, whereas others do not consider this a condition. They hold that one who performs such an act must avoid committing any of the major sins. This means that such good deeds shall only remove the minor sins and not the major ones. Other scholars are of the opinion that it does not involve the controversy of the major and minor sins, but it is merely a statement of the reward to be earned. Some scholars hold that the minor sins are forgiven by every virtuous act, whereas the major sins require repentance and asking Allāh's forgiveness. اَللّٰهُ أَعْلَم (To be continued…) ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ الحمد لله ربّ العالمين Please Share Telegram: https://t.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah Facebook: https://fb.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم بلوغ المرام من أدلة الأحكام - الحافظ ابن حجر العسقلاني رحمه الله THE COMPREHENSIVE BOOK – كِتَابُ الجَامِعُ- 1072 REMEMBRANCE OF ALLĀH AND SUPPLICATIONS 1335. Narrated (Abū Hurairah (may Allāh be pleased with him)): Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "If people sit in an assembly in which they do not remember Allāh or invoke blessings on the Prophet (ﷺ), [N1] it will be a cause of grief to them on the Day of Resurrection." [at-Tirmidhī reported it and said that it is a Ḥasan (good) Ḥadīth] [N1] Another Ḥadīth states, "If He wills, He will punish them, and if He wills, He will forgive them". These words denote that the remembrance of Allāh and sending peace and blessing on the Prophet (ﷺ) are compulsory, as only failing to perform what is compulsory, or engaging in what is prohibited involves a threat of punishment. اَللّٰهُ أَعْلَم (To be continued…) ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ الحمد لله ربّ العالمين Please Share Telegram: https://t.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah Facebook: https://fb.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم بلوغ المرام من أدلة الأحكام - الحافظ ابن حجر العسقلاني رحمه الله THE COMPREHENSIVE BOOK – كِتَابُ الجَامِعُ- 1071 REMEMBRANCE OF ALLĀH AND SUPPLICATIONS 1334. Narrated Abū Hurayrah (may Allāh be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allāh (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said, "People will not sit in an assembly in which they remember Allāh without the angels surrounding them, [N1] mercy covering them, and Allāh mentioning them among those who are with Him." [Muslim reported it] [N1] We learn through this Ḥadīth that the remembrance of Allāh is also observed by sitting together praising Him, supplicating Him, reciting the Qur’ān and teaching the matters related to Islām, etc. It is not necessary to observe remembrance of Allāh in solitude only. It further brings it to our knowledge that some of Allāh's angels are also the ones who roam the streets and attend the gatherings where the remembrance of Allāh is being observed. اَللّٰهُ أَعْلَم (To be continued…) ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ الحمد لله ربّ العالمين Please Share Telegram: https://t.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah Facebook: https://fb.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم بلوغ المرام من أدلة الأحكام - الحافظ ابن حجر العسقلاني رحمه الله THE COMPREHENSIVE BOOK – كِتَابُ الجَامِعُ- 1070 REMEMBRANCE OF ALLĀH AND SUPPLICATIONS 1332. Narrated Abū Hurairah (may Allāh be pleased with him): Allāh’s Messenger (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said, "Allāh the Most High says: 'I am with My slave [N1] when he remembers Me and his lips move with My mention.'" [Ibn Mājah reported it, Ibn Ḥibbān graded it Ṣaḥīḥ (authentic) and al-Bukhārī mentioned it as Mu‘allaq (with a broken chain from his side)]. 1333. Narrated Mu‘ādh bin Jabal (may Allāh be pleased with him): Allāh’s Messenger (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said, "No human being has done any deed more likely to save him from Allāh’s punishment than the remembrance of Allāh." [Reported by Ibn Abī Shaybah and aṭ-Ṭabarānī with a Ḥasan (good) chain of narrators] [N1] Here in this Ḥadīth Allāh proclaims His 'being with' His servant through His Knowledge (of everything) and Omnipotence (over everything), and not that Allāh is 'with' His servant physically. The Qur’ān proclaims that Allāh is High above His Throne. اَللّٰهُ أَعْلَم (To be continued…) ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ الحمد لله ربّ العالمين Please Share Telegram: https://t.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah Facebook: https://fb.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم بلوغ المرام من أدلة الأحكام - الحافظ ابن حجر العسقلاني رحمه الله THE COMPREHENSIVE BOOK – كِتَابُ الجَامِعُ- 1069 EXHORTATION TO GOOD CHARACTER 1329. Narrated (Abū Hurayrah) (may Allāh be pleased with him): Allāh's Messenger ﷺ said, "The believer is the mirror[N1] of his believing brother." [Abū Dāwūd reported it with a Ḥasan (good) chain of narrators]. 1330. Narrated Ibn ‘Umar (may Allāh be pleased with him): Allāh's Messenger ﷺ said, "The believer who mixes with people and patiently endures their harm, is better than the one who does not mix with them and does not endure their harm." [Ibn Mājah reported it with a Ḥasan (good) chain of narrators. At-Tirmidhī also reported this Ḥadīth but he did not mention the name of the Ṣaḥābī]. 1331. Narrated Ibn Mas‘ūd (may Allāh be pleased with him): Allāh's Messenger ﷺ said, "O Allāh as You have made my (physical) form beautiful, so make my character beautiful." [Reported by Aḥmad, and Ibn Ḥibbān graded it Ṣaḥīḥ (authentic)]. [N1] One learns about his own pleasant appearance or ugliness, by looking at oneself in a mirror. Similarly, a Muslim should apprise another Muslim of his shortcomings, so that he may become one of those loved of Allāh and people, by getting rid of his defects. اَللّٰهُ أَعْلَم (To be continued…) ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ الحمد لله ربّ العالمين Please Share Telegram: https://t.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah Facebook: https://fb.me/IslaamIsTheSunnah
