بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم السيرة النبوية كما جاءت في الأحاديث الصحيحة THE BIOGRAPHY OF PROPHET MUḤAMMAD ﷺ PART: 1291 (CHAPTER – 2) The Handkerchiefs of Sa‘d bin Mu‘ādh (may Allāh be pleased with him) In Paradise [This is Sa‘d bin Mu‘ādh (may Allāh be pleased with him) as he was the one who was martyred in the Battle of The Trench] It was narrated that Wāfid bin ‘Amr bin Sa‘d bin Mu‘ādh (may Allāh be pleased with him) said: "I entered upon Anas bin Mālik (may Allāh be pleased with him) when he came to Al-Madīnah and greeted him with Salām. He said: 'Where are you from?' I said: 'I am Wāfid bin ‘Amr bin Sa‘d bin Mu‘ādh.' He said: 'Sa‘d was the greatest and most virtuous of people. Then he wept a great deal, then he said: "The Messenger of Allāh (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) sent a delegation to Ukaidir-the ruler of Dūmah, who sent him a Jubbah made of Ad-Dībāj interwoven with gold. The Messenger of Allāh (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) put it on, then he stood on the Minbar and sat, without speaking, then he came down and the people started touching it with their hands. He said: 'Are you admiring this? The handkerchiefs of Sa‘d in Paradise are more beautiful than what you see." [Sunan An-Nasā’ī 5302, Jāmi‘ At-Tirmidhī 1723. Ṣaḥīḥ according to Shaikh Al-Albānī (may Allāh have mercy upon him).] اَللّٰهُ أَعْلَم (To be continued…) ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ الحمد لله ربّ العالمين Please Share 🔹 Telegram: https://t.me/IslamicStoriesSalaf 🔹 Facebook: https://fb.me/IslamicStoriesSalaf

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم السيرة النبوية كما جاءت في الأحاديث الصحيحة THE BIOGRAPHY OF PROPHET MUḤAMMAD ﷺ PART: 1290 (CHAPTER – 2) The Silk Cloak Gifted To The Prophet (ﷺ) And ‘Umar ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb (may Allāh be pleased with him) Jābir (may Allāh be pleased with him) said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) put on a Qabā’ of ad-Dībāj that had been given to him, but he soon took it off and sent it to ‘Umar (may Allāh be pleased with him). It was said to him: 'How soon you took it off, O Messenger of Allāh.' He (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said: 'Jibrīl, peace be upon him, prohibited me from wearing it.' Then ‘Umar (may Allāh be pleased with him) came weeping and said: 'O Messenger of Allāh, you disliked something but you gave it to me.' He (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said: 'I did not give it to you to wear it, rather I gave it to you to sell it.' So ‘Umar (may Allāh be pleased with him) sold it for two thousand Dirhams." بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم السيرة النبوية كما جاءت في الأحاديث الصحيحة THE BIOGRAPHY OF PROPHET MUḤAMMAD ﷺ PART: 1289 (CHAPTER – 2) The Silk Cloak Gifted To The Prophet (ﷺ) And ‘Umar ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb (may Allāh be pleased with him) Qays bin Nu‘mān as-Sakoonī (may Allāh be pleased with him) narrates that: A neighbor of mine who completed reciting the Qur’ān with ‘Umar Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb, who narrated that, "A raiding party of the Prophet (ﷺ) left Madīnah and the ruler of Dūmat al-Jandal Ukaydir heard of it. Thus, he came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "O Messenger of Allāh! I have been informed that a raiding party has been sent! I fear for my land and wealth that they will be lost! Write a document of security for me (my wealth and property) and I acknowledge that take from me whatever you will (as a tax)." The Prophet (ﷺ) got a document written for him. Ukaydir gifted the Prophet (ﷺ) a silk cloak woven with golden threads, this was the same one that the Emperor of Persia made him wear. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Take this cloak back! No one wears this in this world but will be prohibited of it in the hereafter. He took it back with himself to where he was stationed (in Madīnah), but he was disturbed that his gift wasn't accepted. He again came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "O Messenger of Allāh! We are from a people who feel very dejected if our gifts are not accepted, so accept my gift". The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "So go ahead and give it to ‘Umar". And ‘Umar (may Allāh be pleased with him) had previously heard what the Prophet (ﷺ) had said (when the Prophet (ﷺ) rejected the cloak initially) and remarked, "Tell me, about the matter, I heard what you said about this cloak (of silk and gold), yet you sent it for me?". The Prophet (ﷺ) smiled (or laughed) till he covered his mouth with his hand, then he said, "I did not send it to you so that you should wear it, but to sell it and use its price! [Ithāf al-Khīrah al-Mahārah 4/483, Mu‘jam aṣ-Ṣaḥābah 2/351, Al-Iṣābah Fī Tamyīz aṣ-Ṣaḥābah 1/242. Al-Ḥāfiẓ Shihāb al-Dīn al-Būsīrī said that the chain of this narration is Ṣaḥīḥ in his book Ithāf al-Khīrah al-Mahārah] اَللّٰهُ أَعْلَم (To be continued…) ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ الحمد لله ربّ العالمين Please Share 🔹 Telegram: https://t.me/IslamicStoriesSalaf 🔹 Facebook: https://fb.me/IslamicStoriesSalaf

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم السيرة النبوية كما جاءت في الأحاديث الصحيحة THE BIOGRAPHY OF PROPHET MUḤAMMAD ﷺ PART: 1287 (CHAPTER – 2) The Battle of Tabūk | The Expedition of Hardships (Ghazwat al-‘Usrah) … By Allāh, Allāh has never bestowed upon me, apart from His guiding me to Islām, a greater blessing than the fact that I did not tell a lie to the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) which would have caused me to perish as those who have told a lie perished, for Allāh described those who told lies with the worst description He ever attributed to anybody else. Allāh said: "They will swear by Allāh to you when you return to them that you would leave them alone. So leave them alone; indeed, they are evil; and their refuge is Hell as recompense for what they had been earning. They swear to you so that you might be satisfied with them. But if you should be satisfied with them indeed, Allāh is not satisfied with a defiantly disobedient people." [Sūrah At-Tawbah 9:95-96] Ka‘b (may Allāh be pleased with him) added, "We, the three persons, differed altogether from those whose excuses the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) accepted when they swore to him. He took their pledge of allegiance and asked Allāh to forgive them, but the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) left our case pending till Allāh gave His Judgment about it. As for that Allāh said: "And [He also forgave] the three who were left behind [and regretted their error] to the point that the earth closed in on them in spite of its vastness and their souls confined them and they were certain that there is no refuge from Allāh except in Him. Then He turned to them so they could repent. Indeed, Allāh is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful." [Sūrah At-Tawbah 9:118] about what Allāh said (in this Verse) does not indicate our failure to take part in the ghazwah, but it refers to the deferment of making a decision by the Prophet (ﷺ) about our case in contrast to the case of those who had taken an oath before him and he excused them by accepting their excuses. [Part – 6, End of the Ḥadīth] [Ṣaḥīḥ Al-Bukhārī 4418, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2769] [The wordings in the square brackets have been taken from Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2769 a,b.] اَللّٰهُ أَعْلَم (To be continued…) ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ الحمد لله ربّ العالمين Please Share 🔹 Telegram: https://t.me/IslamicStoriesSalaf 🔹 Facebook: https://fb.me/IslamicStoriesSalaf
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم السيرة النبوية كما جاءت في الأحاديث الصحيحة THE BIOGRAPHY OF PROPHET MUḤAMMAD ﷺ PART: 1286 (CHAPTER – 2) The Battle of Tabūk | The Expedition of Hardships (Ghazwat al-‘Usrah) … Ka‘b (may Allāh be pleased with him) further said, "When I entered the Mosque. I saw Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ) sitting with the people around him. Ṭalḥah bin ‘Ubaydullāh (may Allāh be pleased with him) swiftly came to me, shook hands with me and congratulated me. By Allāh, none of the Muhājirīn (may Allāh be pleased with them) (i.e. Emigrants) got up for me except him (i.e. Ṭalḥah (may Allāh be pleased with him)), and I will never forget this for Ṭalḥah (may Allāh be pleased with him). Ka‘b (may Allāh be pleased with him) added, "When I greeted Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ) he, his face being bright with joy, said "Be happy with the best day that you have got ever since your mother delivered you." Ka‘b (may Allāh be pleased with him) added, "I said to the Prophet (ﷺ), 'Is this forgiveness from you or from Allāh?' He said, 'No, it is from Allāh.' Whenever Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ) became happy, his face would shine as if it were a piece of moon, and we all knew that characteristic of him. When I sat before him, I said, 'O Allāh's Messenger! Because of the acceptance of my repentance, I will give up all my wealth as alms (charity) for the Sake of Allāh and His Messenger '. Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ) said, 'Keep some of your wealth, as it will be better for you. I said, 'So I will keep my share from Khaybar with me, and added, 'O Allāh's Messenger! Allāh has saved me for telling the truth; so, it is a part of my repentance not to tell but the truth as long as I am alive. By Allāh, I do not know anyone of the Muslims whom Allāh has helped foretelling the truth more than me. Since I have mentioned that truth to Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ) till today, I have never intended to tell a lie. I hope that Allāh will also save me (from telling lies) the rest of my life. So Allāh revealed to His Messenger (ﷺ) the Verses: "Allāh has already forgiven the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) and the Muhājirīn and the Anṣār who followed him in the hour of difficulty after the hearts of a party of them had almost inclined (to doubt, and then He forgave them. Indeed, He was to them Kind and Merciful. And [He also forgave the three who were left behind [and regretted their error) to the point that the earth closed in on them in spite of its vastness and their souls confined them and they were certain that there is no refuge from Allāh except in Him. Then He turned to them so they could repent. Indeed, Allāh is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful. O you who have believed, fear Allāh and be with those who are true." [Sūrah At-Tawbah 9:117-119].
