Allāh The Exalted is not in need of you, nor is He in need of your deeds. You are in the greatest need of your Lord. Glorified and Exalted be He. Allāh The Almighty said: They consider it a favor to you that they have accepted Islām. Say, "Do not consider your Islām a favor to me. Rather, Allāh has conferred favor upon you that He has guided you to the faith, if you should be truthful." [Surah Al-Ḥujurāt 49:17]

Delay is not denial. Just because Allah hasn’t answered your prayer yet doesn’t mean He isn’t listening. Some blessings need time, some hearts need preparation, and some doors open only at the right moment. Keep trusting His timing, because Allah never delays what is best without a reason.

Shaykh Hisham Al Qaisi explains that in Jahiliyyah, some women would cover their hair while leaving the chest area exposed. That's why the Quran specifically commands believing women to draw their coverings over their chests. The Quran was correcting an existing practice and elevating it with modesty and dignity.

A young boy was afraid that other boys would bully him and snatch his dates. So he turned to Umar ibn al-Khattab (رضي الله عنه) for help. Not only did Umar listen, but he personally walked with the child until he reached a safe place. No arrogance. No hurry. Just true care for the weakest in society. Sinan bin Salma said: كنت في أغيلمة نلتقط البلح ففجأنا عمر فتبعني الغلمان ، فقمت فقلت : يا أمير المؤمنين ، إنه مما ألقت الريح ، فقال : أرنيه ، فلما أريته قال : انطلق ، قلت : يا أمير المؤمنين ، فبين هؤلاء الغلمان الساعة ، فإنك إذا انصرفت عني انتزعوا ما معي ، قال : فمشى معي حتى بلغت مأمني "I was among some boys picking dates when suddenly Umar appeared, and the boys ran away. I stood up and said, 'O Commander of the Faithful, these are just dates the wind has blown down.' He said, 'Show them to me.' When I showed them, he said, 'Go ahead.' I said, 'O Commander of the Faithful, but these boys will take them from me as soon as you leave.' So he walked with me until I reached a safe place." References: Narrated by Ibn Sa'd in Al-Tabaqat (7/124), Ibn Abi Shayba in Al-Musannaf (4/294), Ibn Abi Dunya in Al-'Iyal (1/418), and Al-Tabari in Tahdhib al-Athar (Musnad Ali ibn Abi Talib, p. 250). Centuries ago, Muslims from the heart of Africa walked nearly 7,000 kilometers for Hajj. Not for days. Not for weeks. But for years. They crossed deserts on foot, travelled with livestock for food and survival, and spent entire lifetimes saving for one sacred journey to Makkah. Along the roads stood wells, inns, and shelters built by Muslim rulers and generous souls to serve the guests of Allah. Some pilgrims returned home after two years. Some stayed longer seeking knowledge in cities like Cairo and Damascus before finally returning with the honored title of “Hajji.” A reminder that for many before us, Hajj was not a trip. It was the journey of a lifetime.

The Balance Between Aqidah, Fiqh And Tasawwuf Imam Ahmad Zarruq رحمه الله said in under the 4th Principle of his Qawa’id al-Tasawwuf: “There is no tasawwuf without fiqh; because there is no other way to understand the commandments of Allah that concern the exterior except by fiqh. and fiqh is nothing without tasawwuf; because deeds have no meaning unless accompanied by sincerety (sidq) and dedication (tawajjuh). Neither of them is of any use without true belief [wa la huma illa bi iman]. that is, neither of them [fiqh/tasawwuf] is valid unless true belief is present in the first place.”

If you hear someone insulting "Umar" say to him: Which Umar do you mean? * Umar ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib? * Or Umar ibn al-Hasan ibn Ali? * Or Umar ibn al-Husayn ibn Ali? * Or Umar ibn Ali Zayn al-Abidin ibn al-Husayn? * Or do you mean Umar ibn Musa al-Kazim? And if you hear someone insulting "Aisha" ask him: Which Aisha do you mean? Is it: * Aisha bint Ja'far al-Sadiq? * Or Aisha bint Musa al-Kazim? * Or Aisha bint Ali al-Rida? * Or do you mean Aisha bint Ali al-Hadi? And if you hear someone insulting "Abu Bakr" say to him: Which person known by this name do you mean? Is it: * Abu Bakr ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib? * Or Abu Bakr ibn al-Hasan ibn Ali? * Or Abu Bakr ibn al-Husayn ibn Ali? * Or do you mean Abu Bakr ibn Musa al-Kazim? A Remarkable Story of Justice — Ali ibn Abi Talib رضي الله عنه. During his caliphate, Ali ibn Abi Talib رضي الله عنه once disputed with a Jewish man over a shield that he had lost during the Battle of Siffin. One day, while walking through the market of Kufa, he saw a Jewish man selling a shield. The Commander of the Faithful said: “This is my shield.” The man replied: “No, it is mine — and between us stands the judge.” So they both went to the judge, Shurayh ibn al-Harith. Shurayh said: “O Commander of the Faithful, do you have any proof?” Ali replied: “Yes, my son al-Hasan will testify that the shield is mine.” Shurayh responded: “The testimony of a son in favor of his father is not admissible.” Ali said: “SubḥānAllāh! A man from the people of Paradise — and his testimony is not accepted?” Shurayh answered: “O Commander of the Faithful, that is for the Hereafter. As for this world, the testimony of a son for his father is not accepted. The burden of proof is upon the claimant, and the oath is upon the one who denies.” Ali then said: “You have spoken the truth.” With no admissible evidence from the Caliph, Shurayh ruled that the shield belonged to the Jewish man. As the man walked away, he reflected in amazement: “I stand beside the Commander of the Faithful, yet his own judge rules against him in my favor! What kind of religion is this?” Overwhelmed by the justice he witnessed, he returned, embraced Islam, and said: “By Allah, it is your shield.” Ali replied: “Now that you have accepted Islam, the shield is a gift from me to you.” 📚 Source: Ḥilyat al-Awliyāʾ by Abu Nu'aym al-Isfahani Such was the justice of Islam — a justice that conquers hearts before lands.

“Remaining pious (muttaqī) is as easy as remaining in the state of ablution (wuḍūʾ). If your wuḍūʾ breaks, then simply perform wuḍūʾ again. If you commit a sin, then immediately repent and become pious (muttaqī) once more.” — Shaykh Mawlānā Ḥakīm Muḥammad Akhtar (raḥimahullāh)
