According to US President, Donald Trump, the war in Ukraine will be resolved in the upcoming weeks /months. Trump says that Vladimir Putin sees no problems with the deployment of European troops in Ukraine as part of a peace agreement, but that ensuring Ukraine's security after the settlement will fall on the EU countries. Macron clarified that Paris and London have already prepared a plan for security guarantees for Kyiv, which could go as far as sending troops to Ukraine. According to him, "they will not necessarily be located on the front line", but will be present "as a guarantee." According to Trump, both Putin and Zelensky will [should] come to the White House's oval office to sign for peace.

While correction officers are on an unauthorized strike, the New York national guard has been deployed to assist in containing prison riots. Correction officers who do come in during this strike, will be receiving overtime pay rather than normal pay. Over 3,500 guardsman have been deployed to those prisons. The guard members will maintain general order in the prisons in addition to distributing meals and medication to the inmates, officials stated. While deployed, they will assess the need for additional troops. The officers on strike are asking for safer working conditions, including more stringent security checks of prison visitors, and have voiced frustration over insufficient staffing and a need for higher pay.

Jaysley Beck, a 19 year old Royal Artillery Gunner, was found deceased in her room at Larkhill Camp, Wiltshire, England, on 15 December 2021. An inquest today recorded a conclusion of suicide "after a prolonged period of stress after harassment by her line management and problems with a relationship". Beck complained to her family of thousands of unwanted messages (3,600 in one month) from her line manager in the months prior to her death. Ryan Mason, the line manager, wrote a 14-page document detailing his "feelings towards Jaysley" and paid for rooms next to each other during a work trip before she died. It should be noted that police stated this did "not support a harassment case". Beck also complained of the behavior of her battery sergeant, 39-year old Sergeant Major Michael Webber. She said he'd pinned her down and tried to kiss her after a drinking game during a team-building event in July 2021. An Army report in October 2023 described "an intense period of unwelcome behaviour" and said it was "almost certain this was a causal factor" in her death. Beck, following this incident, begun to sleep in her car due to fears. Staff Sergeant Cory Budd, who said he'd been in a relationship with Beck at the time of her death - while he was still married, found her body. Police concluded there was no third-party involvement. The coroner said that despite Jaysley being three times over the drink-drive limit when she died, he was satisfied she had still intended to take her own life. ____ #MCHIG

And, to the dismay of Kyiv and its allies, Trump has at times toed the Kremlin's line and blamed Ukraine and NATO for the conflict, even saying Ukraine "could someday become Russian," CNN reports.

📸: On May 28, 2024, PFC Katia Duenas-Aguilar was found murdered in her home with over 55 stab wounds and 13 clean-cut wounds. 📸: Uzbekistan has recently returned seven UH-60 US Black Hawk helicopters used for evacuating Afghan personnel from the Taliban. These helicopters made their way to Uzbekistan during the 2021 fall of Afghanistan, flown by fleeing US-trained Afghan Air Force pilots. A total of 46 aircraft were flown to Uzbekistan after the Taliban seized power, and a further 18 went to Tajikistan. The majority of these aircraft were donated to Uzbekistan. Negotiations between the US, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan over the fate of the aircraft had been ongoing since 2021. In 2022, Uzbekistan's Special Representative for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Irgashev, stated that Uzbekistan intended to return the aircraft to the US, since they had been purchased by the US government.
