Hi, everyone! 👋 For anyone interested in putting their Japanese writing skills to use, the Omori Cup International Japanese Essay Contest is accepting submissions until August 31, 2026. 📝 Theme: 「私と日本」 — "Me and Japan" Participants are invited to write an essay of approximately 600 Japanese characters on topics such as: • a favorite aspect of Japanese culture; • Japanese customs or ways of thinking worth introducing in one's home country; • challenges in one's country and lessons learned from Japan; • what one likes (or dislikes) about Japan; • a message to Japan; • reasons for continuing to study Japanese; • how learning Japanese has changed one's perspective; • moments of almost giving up while studying Japanese. 🌐 Format: Online 📅 Application Period: April 1 – August 31, 2026 Contest Schedule • Regional Round: September 15, 2026 (subject to change) • Global Round: October 15, 2026 (subject to change) The contest is open to Japanese language learners looking to share their experiences, ideas, and perspectives through writing. 📩 Applications should be submitted by email to: oikawasensei@yahoo.co.jp 📄 More details : Link
