Ali Al-Naseeh Al-Qala has been transferred to a military hospital in Omdurman after his health severely deteriorated in detention, according to his family. Al-Qala, a founding RSF figure and former head of operations, has been held by Sudanese military intelligence since January 2025, when the army recaptured the Al-Jaili oil refinery. His family says this is his third hospitalization, citing heart problems, severe anaemia and alleged malnutrition.
