Controversial Conversations - which is a self-hosted speaking club, which basically means you join a classroom with other people, have all the material on screen and host it yourself throughout the topic. The topics are so 🔥🔥🔥 I am going to host some of these myself in the coming weeks. Remember these topics aren't for the weak or easily offended. They will also require a minimum B2 level. I'm actually looking forward to them....

A completely new series of speaking clubs. This hasn't even been tested.... Let's hope it doesn't go wrong. Wednesday next week.

Next week we're back! Quite a few different types of speaking clubs to try out over the next few weeks. Starting off with a nice and easy one to ease myself back into the host's seat on Monday.

There are around 6 people on the back-up list for the speaking club that starts in an hour. If you signed up as a back-up, check your email between 5 and 10 past for the GO GO GO email.

Controversial Conversations, a FREE self-hosted speaking course for B2 students and above who aren't afraid to talk about the darker topics in English. The speaking sessions will happen in your browser, be 60 minutes long, and all the material and questions will be provided for you on-screen. The session should be fully automate, but all students will have full control over the pace of each session. Each session is limited to 6 people and you will need a code to enter, so register for yours. www.OnlineEnglishSpeakingClub.com As we are testing this, we would appreciate feedback and bug reports.

There are quite a few people on the reserve list - the list of people who are ready to join if a place becomes available. If someone doesn't show up after 5 minutes, I'll hit the "GO" email which will email an invite to the person on the top of the reserve list. If they don't accept, I'll do the same with the next one, and so on. Of course, if anyone drops out before the start of the speaking club, they'll be offered a place and can join at the start time.

My Wednesday mornings have been stolen away from me for a while. Last minute change of topic, day, and time. Times and days will be random over the coming weeks.

On a side note... If you'd like to do a FREE English speaking test and have the test marked by a REAL person and be sent a report with feedback on how well you did.... Head over to EnglishSpeakingTest.com and at the end of the test, enter code OESC and click the option for it to be marked by a real person. You'll then be emailed the results / report and be able to download a certificate once it's been marked.

I'm not sure about where you are, but here in England, Summer has started. The sun is out, the funky are shirts on, and people are on the beach and in the sea because believe it or not, it's not raining here. Speaking clubs are entering Summer Season, so we're dialing back on Premium Speaking Clubs over the next couple of months. Free Speaking Clubs will go ahead as normal. When we have one, we'll always let you know here. Also, while we have almost every topic under the sun, we're also open to topic suggestions that we don't have.
