Hi everyone! It’s almost the third week of October which means Puppy Pound is this coming Thursday! Come over to Brewers from 7-11 and enjoy a puppy mosh until 9 with tunes spun by DJ Pup Techie! We also have a special announcement. SCP is going to be starting a community food pantry called Community Kibble! Starting at this month’s Puppy Pound you’ll be able to find a marked box filled with non-perishable foods. The Community Kibble is open to anybody in our community who needs help securing food for themselves, no questions asked. Anytime you see it at an event if you’re in need of food assistance feel free to take some items home with you. Please make sure you’re leaving enough food for everybody who might need it, and if your need for assistance is greater than what the Community Kibble can provide members of SCP leadership can help you find more food resources. Likewise, we ask those of you in our community who can afford to to bring some non-perishable goods, especially nutritious ones like canned vegetables and soups, dried beans, etc. Please bring your donations to Puppy Pound events going forward and leave them in the Community Kibble box. The Community Kibble operates on the “give what you can, take what you need” principal. We want to make sure everyone in our community is taken care of, and we hope efforts like these will foster a community that cares for its own. We love all y’all pups and pets and we can’t wait to see you next week 💖

Please help us with a big Steel City welcome to our newest vendor to Puppy Pound, @BenjitheBengal Benji is the local Pittsburgh artist behind Emberhide Artistry, where he specializes in a whole host of different custom made artwork, including leather work. Check out some of the pre-made designs he'll have available for sale, or ask about custom pieces available for purchase to take home with you that very evening! A take-home custom piece runs about $120 and up and payment plans can be negotiated on a case-by-case based. Asami here to bring you some news! I've decided that it's time for me to semi-retire my gear cleaning/repair station at Puppy Pound to make way for some other really talent folks that deserve your recognition (and money) 🤣 The first to be announced is our good friend @alittlebootblack. We've been working next to each other for quite a while now and I'm always super impressed with their insight and willingness to take on even the tough jobs. Here's a little more info about them. Good afternoon everyone! I just wanted to take a quick moment to let everyone know that we have several big announcements coming in the next week or so about SCP. There are a couple new events coming, there will be some major changes to our chat, and we are working on some ways to create new resources to our members in need. Hello everyone! Please join us for a fall field trip to Animal Farm! We're going to be frolicking through the pumpkin patch, corn maze, and enjoying all the festivities at the Trax Farms Fall Festival. Please be aware people of all ages will be there. Hoods, partials and tails are welcome, however i would advise against any additional or extensive gear. When: October 19th 12-3PM Where: Trax Farms - 528 Trax Road Finleyville, PA 15332 How much: 12 dollars online 14 dollars on-site for hayride ticket to the corn maze and pumpkin patch Carpooling - below will be a carpool form we can not guarantee a ride for everyone depending on volume & location.
