You should be receiving your hotel reservation emails now! If you do not see them, be sure to check your spam folder, as there have been one or two reports of it ending up there!

As mentioned last Friday, hotel blocks open on the 19th! The email containing the registration links will be sent out at 9AM! So watch your inbox!

We've got important news: Our hotel blocks will be opening on the 19th of June! Last year the link was first shared with the verified convention chat. This year it will be sent to the email you used with concat, so if you've already registered, or plan on registering this coming week, be sure to check your email on Friday!

New for 2026 it’s the Photogra-furs Showcase! We’ve dedicated a page to our website showing off the wonderful photographers that grace our convention every year. To get the ball rolling we’ve started off with Verne the ScubaFox! We’ll be adding more as the year continues, so stop by our site and take a look - you never know who you might see! This has been going on for a couple of weeks now, and week two was Vae, week three Korbin Rock... and this week is Aspen Coyote! Check out the page to see their work! You can expect to see more of these as we go along, as we're always excited to show off what our community can do!

We have been rolling out announcements left and right, but this one's pretty important! This year, we're saying good-bye to the Attendee level. It was underutilized and logistically difficult for staff to maintain. We apologize to anyone this may affect. We're also adding a shiny new level - Ultra Sponsor! Ultra Sponsors will get all of the benefits of Super Sponsors plus extra seed tickets for the charity auction and a custom piece of artwork by our Featured Artist.

WPAFW staff are kicking off planning for 2026, and we wanted to share a very important announcement from Manick! -- Since 2013 when I started out in Registration to 2018 when I was honored to succeed Blithe as Chair(cat), WPAFW has seen impressive growth. Through all difficulties we’ve encountered, we’ve shown enormous strength. Whether bringing the community together or providing significant support for our local charities, our event has become a major foundation of our local community. The event, started in Swift’s own backyard, continues to evolve and change and grow. The future is one of enormous possibility. I could not be prouder of the work done by the entire staff of WPAFW. I could not be prouder to be entrusted with such a leadership role and to have truly helped usher that growth in. After many years as Chair, I am passing the proverbial torch, as Swift originally put it, to Rel! From a Chaircat to a Chairdog, we revel in housepet leadership! Please join me in welcoming Rel as the new chair of WPAFW! Let’s welcome her as warmly as we welcome newcomers and old friends alike. =D Thank you, truly, for being an amazing community, for giving us the honor and pride of serving this community, and, on a more personal note, for giving me your trust and support throughout my years as Chaircat.
