We will be meeting on Saturday, July 25th at Heritage Port from around 3pm to 6pm. Just like Pride, Street Parking is Free, and Garage parking is $10. We plan on suiting for a bit then grabbing a bite to eat there as well. Hey! As you all know I have a show coming up July 31 - August 2. Normally I would just get permission to post in the announcement channel post it there and feel good about it. As I get older and I'm learning about the wonderfulness of a good discount I though I'd share the love. My show has discounted tickets ($25) for groups that buy 10 or more with code (OOTIGROUP). As much as I would love to try and organize it, its very difficult to do while in the show. I was hoping that maybe one or two of you could spearhead getting a group together to attend. I know many of you already like want to attend, and some of you know people who likely may want to come as well. This is an amazing show, and it would really mean the world to see people come out and support.

To all our Anthrocon attendees, Anthrocon has been closely monitoring the extreme heat and severe weather situation in Pittsburgh forecast for this weekend. Convention leadership has been in contact with emergency services personnel and other entities regarding this situation. After careful consideration for the health, safety, and wellbeing of our fursuiters, attendees, and residents of Pittsburgh, Anthrocon has decided to cancel the 2026 Fursuit Parade and Block Party scheduled for 2pm, July 4th. We know both Anthrocon attendees and our friends in Pittsburgh look forward to this event every year; but the health and safety of all concerned is our paramount priority. Anthrocon attendees should look for announcements of alternative indoor activities in place of the parade this year. We apologize for the necessity of this decision and hope you’ll continue to enjoy the events throughout the holiday weekend.

This Thursday night, Steel city Pups is going to be hosting an event to work with our new friends at The Dog Penn to bring you a unique pet play & furry experience! The Dog Penn, Pittsburgh's first off leash dog bar, will be opening their doors for Furries and Critters alike for a 21+ bio dog-free night to enjoy their beautiful facility during Anthrocon weekend. The bar will be open and offering a great selection of brews on tap and mixed cocktails. Outside food is welcome, but they do have a selection of light faire and pre-made sandwiches. Suiters are welcome to bring their totes and store them in the building during the event, and pet players are welcome to romp and play on all fours in the outside turfed area. All bits are required to be covered at all times in all parts of the facility. Furpile will be on view in two locations this upcoming Saturday, July 4th, coinciding with Anthrocon festivities. These will be the final standard viewing hours for Furpile. From 1-4pm, Furpile will be on view at Bunker Projects, alongside I LOVE FURRY, a please-look furry ephemera show curated by Tommy Bruce. Then, from 5-8pm, Furpile will be set up outside of the Spirit of Pittsburgh Ballroom in the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Standard admission to Anthrocon is required for this viewing. NCWV Furbowl Summer ‘26 Saturday, July 18, 2026, 4:30 P.M.–8:00 P.M. Suburban Lanes, Morgantown, W.Va. organized by Mountain State Furries The North-central West Virginia Furbowl series is back at last—now at Suburban Lanes in Morgantown! We’ll be doing some fursuit-optional bowling and snacking under glow-lights and dance music, right in the vein of the original and its successors.  We might get a pizza or two to share, but otherwise, paying for food at the adjoined Kegler’s Sports Bar is up to you—as is Jazzy’s Sweet Spot afterwards. Cost of admission is $8 for handlers/non-bowlers, and $15 for bowlers. Tickets are available for purchase on our website.
