  • Al-Khusuf - Solar Eclipse The Prophet (ﷺ) said: When you see that, that [i.e., an eclipse], then pray. (Agreed upon) According to another hadith, “If you see anything of that, then pray until it is over.” (Reported by Muslim. — An eclipse is Allah frightening His slaves; in that He who blocked out the sun and moon for a limited time is capable of blocking it out forever, and that He who changed the condition of a planet is capable of changing the condition of those on it. Human knowledge of the cause of an eclipse does not underestimate the wisdom of Allah [behind causing it]; He frightens His servant by changing the natural pattern of the planet through cosmic causes that man sees but is incapable of repelling, so how about that which he does not see nor expect? Abdul-Aziz at-Turayfi ‎(فك الله أسره)

  • Put your Trust in Allah You have burdened your weak heart with the worry of years and ages and times, the worry of high prices and low prices, the worry of winter before it comes, and the worry of summer before it arrives. So what have you left of your weak heart for the Hereafter? Imam Ibn al-Jawzi (‏رحمه الله)

  • Three White Days - Safar | July 3 White Days for Safar 1448 | MON 27th - WED 29th of July 2026 📆 (Dates Subject to moon-sighting) The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Fasting three days of each month is fasting for a lifetime, and ayyam al-beed are the 13th, 14th and 15th.” [An-Nasa’i, (2420)]. If you are unable to fast you can still partake in this opportunity of gaining reward by spreading the word. Perhaps one will fast because of your message. ‎(... مَنْ دَلَّ عَلَى خَيْرٍ فَلَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ فَاعِلِهِ ) "Whoever points to something good will have the same reward as the one who does it.”* [Sahih Muslim]

  • Three White Days - Muharram | June 3 White Days for Muharram 1448 | SUN 28th - TUE 30th of June 2026 📆 (According to local moon-sighting) The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Fasting three days of each month is fasting for a lifetime, and ayyam al-beed are the 13th, 14th and 15th.” [An-Nasa’i, (2420)]. The Superiority of Fasting in Muharram It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The best fast after Ramadan is in the month of Allah Muharram.” [Narrated by Muslim (1982)] If you are unable to fast you can still partake in this opportunity of gaining reward by spreading the word.

  • The Day of Ashura Whoever strives to fast Ashura is rewarded even if he is off by a day, like he who strives to pray toward the qiblah is rewarded even if he misses the qiblah; for the reward of the Creator is not like the reward of the creation, whereby only the one who hits the mark is rewarded. Fasting Ashura expiates the sins of the previous year. Whoever fasts the tenth day and doesn’t fast a day before or after it, acquires the reward of having his sins expiated, but misses out on the reward of opposing the Jews, and at the same time is not sinful for not opposing [the Jews].

  • Ashura - Not to be Missed, Even When Travelling Ashura - [25th of June 2026 - 10th of Muharram 1448] Imam al-Bayhaqi (‏رحمه الله) mentioned the follow report related to fasting 'Ashura': Once, Muhammad Ibn Sireen al-Zuhri was traveling and he fasted the day of 'Ashura', so someone asked him, "You fast on the day of 'Ashura while traveling but you break your fast during Ramadan [if traveling]?" He replied, "For Ramadan, you can make up the same number of days later, but 'Ashura' passes and is gone." [Shu'ab al-Eemaan #3518] Sh. 'Abd al-Razzaq al-Badr mentioned this narration and then commented: "This shows how much attention they gave to the blessed seasons. May Allah enable all of us to take advantage of their goodness and blessings." [As found on the sheikh's website here: https://al-badr.net/detail/U1VEJGXHmxNr]

  • Fasting The Day of Ashura Thursday 25th of June 2026 is the Day of Ashura (10th of Muharram 1448) Abu Qatada al-Ansari (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “...The fast of the day of ‘Ashura, [I consider it to] expiate the sins of the preceding year.” [Muslim, Ahmad, Abu Dawud and Ibn Khuzaymah]. Fasting Ashura expiates the sins of the previous year: Fasting Ashura comes after fasting Arafah in virtue. Its best method is: - Fasting the ninth and tenth. - Then fasting the tenth and eleventh. - Then fasting the ninth, tenth and eleventh; or the tenth on its own.”

  • Allah’s Month - The Month of Muharram “Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve [lunar] months in the register of Allah [from] the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the correct religion, so do not wrong yourselves during them, and fight against the disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively, and know that Allah is with the righteous [who fear Him].” [9:36] Al-‘Izz Ibn ‘Abd al-Salam (‏رحمه الله) said: “… Allah bestows His generosity on His slaves at those times or in those places, by giving a greater reward for deeds done, such as giving a greater reward for fasting in Ramadan than for fasting at all other times, and also on the day of ‘Ashura’, the virtue of which is due to Allah’s generosity and kindness towards His slaves on that day…” [Qawa’id al-Ahkam, (1/38)].

  • Days of Tashriq وَعَنْ نُبَيْشَةَ اَلْهُذَلِيِّ ‏- رضى الله عنه ‏- قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ ‏- صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏-{ أَيَّامُ اَلتَّشْرِيقِ أَيَّامُ أَكْلٍ وَشُرْبٍ, وَذِكْرٍ لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ 1141‏ .‏ Nubaishah al-Hudhali (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The days of Tashriq (the three days following 'Idul Ad-ha, i.e. 11th, 12th and 13th of Dhu’l-Hijjah) are days of eating, drinking and remembering (dhikr) of Allah, the Most Great and Glorious." [Narrated by Muslim, (1141)]. These are the days in which the Hujjaj are in Mina and perform the stoning of the Jamarat, with the 13th day being optional to them. Therefore, the Scholars have said fasting on the 13th of Dhu’l-Hijjah is forbidden. Even if someone had the habit of fasting the Three White Days, they should not fast the 13th per the aforementioned hadith

  • The Great Days of Nahr & Qarr (10th & 11th of Dhul-Hijjah) ‎He ﷺ said: “The greatest day in the sight of Allah is the day of Naḥr (10th Dhul-Ḥijjah) and then the day of Qarr (11th Dhul-Ḥijjah).” [Abū Dāwūd] ‎*The 11th is known as the day of Qarr as pilgrims reside in Mina for worship (qarra means to reside).

“Arafa tomorrow? I don’t think I’m that guy”   For anyone who feels they wasted the past few days, read carefully:   You have not missed the train. In fact, not only is the door still wide open, but the most precious day is still ahead of you. Tomorrow is the Day of ʿArafah.   This is the day about which the Prophet ﷺ said:   صِيَامُ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ، إِنِّي أَحْتَسِبُ عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يُكَفِّرَ السَّنَةَ الَّتِي قَبْلَهُ وَالسَّنَةَ الَّتِي بَعْدَهُ   “Fasting the Day of ʿArafah: I hope from Allah that it will erase the sins of the year before it and the year after it.”   One day = Two years of sins vanish, by His mercy.   And the Prophet ﷺ said:   خَيْرُ الدُّعَاءِ دُعَاءُ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ   “The best Du’a is the Du’a of the Day of ʿArafah.”   So bring your entire life to Allah tomorrow.   The worries you keep replaying in your head, bring them. The duʿāʾ you have almost given up on, the marriage issue, the family tension, the child you are worried about, the debt, the scandal, the illness, the fear of the future, the guilt of the past, the private sin, the hard heart, the dreams that feel too far away, your pain that no one knows of, bring them all.   Tomorrow is ʿArafah: a day on which, quite literally, a new beginning may be written for you, provided you do not treat it like an ordinary day.   The Prophet ﷺ said:   مَا مِنْ يَوْمٍ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ أَنْ يُعْتِقَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ عَبْدًا مِنَ النَّارِ مِنْ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ   “There is no day on which Allah frees more servants from the Fire than the Day of ʿArafah.”   Therefore, it makes perfect sense that the day after ʿArafah is ʿEid, a day of celebration after a day of forgiveness, a day of joy after a day of pleading and healing.   Lastly, in Ramaḍān, Laylat al-Qadr — the greatest night of the year — is hidden from us, so we search for it across the last ten nights. But ʿArafah — the greatest day of the year — has been named for you, dated for you, and placed clearly before you.   So do not let Shayṭān tell you, “Ah, you’ve been lazy. You’ve wasted the first days. You’re not spiritual enough. People like you don’t suddenly become close to Allah.”   That’s one of his oldest doors, weaponizing your guilt to keep you away from the One who forgives guilt.   So fast if you are able to, and make the intention if you can’t. Guard your tongue. Give something in charity. Make a list of your duʿāʾs. Sit alone for a while. Raise your hands before Maghrib. Beg Allah like someone who is drowning, who knows that the King is generous and the door is open.   As you do so, do not forget your siblings in Islam in Gaza, Palestine, Sudan, and everywhere the Ummah is bleeding. Ask Allah to relieve them, strengthen them, protect them, honour them, and use you in their support in a way that removes from you the shame of abandonment.   O Allah, grant me and my global Muslim family the ability to do good tomorrow.

As ʿArafah nears sunset, remember three statements Al-Awzāʿī said: أَدْرَكْتُ أَقْوَامًا كَانُوا يُخَبِّئُونَ الْحَاجَاتِ لِيَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ لِيَسْأَلُوا اللَّهَ بِهَا “I met people who would save up their needs for the Day of ʿArafah, so that they could ask Allah for them on that day.” One of the righteous predecessors said: وَاللَّهِ مَا دَعَوْتُ دَعْوَةً يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ، وَمَا دَارَ عَلَيْهَا الْحَوْلُ، إِلَّا رَأَيْتُهَا مِثْلَ فَلَقِ الصُّبْحِ “By Allah, I never made a duʿāʾ on the Day of ʿArafah, and a year had not passed over it, except that I saw it appear before me like the break of dawn.” ʿAṭāʾ ibn Abī Muslim said: إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَنْ تَخْلُوَ بِنَفْسِكَ عَشِيَّةَ عَرَفَةَ فَافْعَلْ “If you are able to seclude yourself from people during the latter part of the Day of ʿArafah, then do so.” The “latter part” refers to those precious hours between ʿAṣr and Maghrib. So free up your schedule at all costs. Close your door. Switch off your phone. Step away from the noise. Sit with your Lord. Raise your needs to The Sovereign of the heavens and earth.

  • First 10 Days of Dhu’l-Hijjah - Day of Arafah The Greatest Day of the Year Imam an-Nawawi (‎رحمه الله): ❝This is the best day in the year for supplicating, thus it befits a person to fully devote his efforts in making Dhikr, Du'a and reciting the Quran; and he should supplicate with the different kinds of Duas and read the different kinds of Dhikr. He should supplicate for himself, his parents, relatives, Mashaykh, companions, friends, loved ones and any one else who was good to him as well as all the Muslims. And let him be fully cautious from falling short in any of these as this day cannot be made up.❞ [كتاب الأذكار للنووي طبعة دار المنهاج ص ٣٣٣]

  • First 10 Days of Dhu’l-Hijjah - Reminder #10 Beautiful words by Imam Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali (‎رحمه الله) on Arafah: "Whoever is not able to stop at Arafah, then stop at the limits Allah has set. Whoever is not able to spend the night at muzdalifah, let him spend the night in obedience to Allah to come close and attain nearness to Him. Whoever is not able to slaughter at Mina, then let him slaughter his desires so by it he can reach his objective. Whoever was not able to reach the house because it is far, then proceed towards the Lord of the Ka'bah, for He is closer to him than his jugular vein." [Lata'if al-Ma'arif]

For those who may have fallen short in striving in worship during the past days: The train has not passed you by. The opportunity is still open. The coming days are the greatest of all days — so come, let us strive together. Dear brothers and sisters, do you realize what we are approaching tomorrow? We are approaching the Day of Day of Arafah, about which our Prophet ﷺ said: “Fasting the Day of Arafah — I hope from Allah that it expiates the sins of the year before it and the year after it.” A single day of fasting through which the Most Merciful forgives the sins of two years! And regarding this day, our Prophet ﷺ also said: “The best supplication is the supplication made on the Day of Arafah.” Do you have hopes and needs that you long for Allah to fulfill? Worries you pray He will remove? Then now is the season. Do you feel distant from Allah and hope that He will draw you close again and allow your heart to find comfort in Him? Now is the season. Has your heart become hardened and filled with spiritual diseases, while you yearn for Allah to soften and purify it? Now is the season. Do you wish for Allah’s pleasure to descend upon you so that He will never again be displeased with you? Do you wish for your body to be forbidden from the Fire? Now is the season. The Prophet ﷺ said: “There is no day on which Allah frees more servants from the Fire than the Day of Arafah.” So it is no wonder that Allah made the day after Arafah a day of Eid — a celebration in which Muslims rejoice in the mercy, forgiveness, and generosity of Allah that they hope for. In Ramadan, Laylat al-Qadr is hidden from us; we do not know exactly when it is. But the Day of Arafah is a day Allah has clearly informed you about. If striving hard in worship during five nights — the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan — feels difficult, then will striving during this one known day truly weigh heavily upon you? So let your resolve rise. Think well of Allah’s mercy and the vastness of His forgiveness. Beware of letting Satan enter through the door of excessive self-reproach, making you feel cut off from your Lord and unworthy of His mercy. “Indeed, Allah forgives all sins.” And do not forget your brothers and sisters in Gaza, throughout Palestine, in Sudan, and everywhere else — pray that Allah grants them relief and uses you in supporting them, a support through which He removes from you the sin of abandoning them. O Allah, grant me and my brothers and sisters success in performing righteous deeds that are accepted by You.

  • First 10 Days of Dhu’l-Hijjah - Reminder #9 If you missed out on making it to the plains of ʿArafah tomorrow, don’t miss out on fasting Greatest Day of The Year - Arafah 1447 - 26th of May 2026 The greatest of days to fast after Ramaḍān is the day of `Arafah. In one day, Allah expiates the sins of two years. The best of deeds in it is fasting - for the non-Ḥājjī - as well as takbīr, du`ā’, and especially seeking forgiveness. The most disadvantaged people are those who remain upon sin when Allah boasts to His angels about the people of obedience. He ﷺ said, “Allah draws near, then He boasts to the angels about the people of `Arafah.” - Sh. at-Turayfi (حفظه الله)

  • First 10 Days of Dhu’l-Hijjah - Reminder #8 Approaching The Day of Arafah Imam Ibn Rajab (‏رحمه الله) wrote: The day of ‘Arafah is the day Allāh frees necks from the Hellfire, so Allāh frees the one who stands at the ‘Arafah site, and even the Muslims who do not stand in ‘Arafah but make dua with hope. And for this reason, the day following ‘Arafah was made Eid for all the Muslims altogether wherever they are, regardless of whether they witnessed the season (were present at Hajj) or not; due to their all sharing the characteristic of being freed from the Fire and attaining forgiveness on the Day of ‘Arafah. [Lata’if al-Ma‘arif]

  • First Ten Days of Dhu’l-Hijjah - Reminder #7 Approaching the Day of Arafah Abdullah ibn Amr reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Verily, Allah Almighty boasts to His angels of the pilgrims on the afternoon of the day of Arafat, saying: Look at My servants, coming to Me disheveled and dusty.” [Musnad Aḥmad, 7089] Allah does not descend to the lower heaven except in an exalted time, and Him descending in the daytime has not been authentically affirmed except for the Day of ʿArafah. There is no door of His mercy open wider than on that day; the deprived is he who doesn’t find a way in. - Sh. Turayfi ‎(فك الله أسره)

  • First 10 Days of Dhu’l-Hijjah - Reminder #6 Approaching the Day of Arafah The Day of Arafah (27th of May 2026 / 9th of Dhu'l-Hijjah 1447 Hijri) The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Fasting on the Day of `Arafah, I anticipate from Allah, expiates for the sins of the previous year and the one coming.” (1) An-Nawawi (‎رحمه الله) said: “Fasting the day of ‘Arafah is an expiation for two years, and the day of ‘Ashura is an expiation for one year... ...Each of the things mentioned may bring expiation. If he does something that expiates for minor sins he will be expiated, and if there are no minor or major sins, it will be recorded for him as good deeds and he will rise in status thereby. If there is one or more major sins and no minor sins, we hope that it will reduce his major sins.” (2) - (1) - [Sahih Muslim (1162)]. (2) - [Al-Majmo’ Sharh al-Muhadhdhab].
