Important for Mains26 Linkage - UPSC PYQ 2021- Explain the difference between computing methodology of India’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) before the year 2015 and after the year 2015. share with Mains students @anupkmahala
Article on Population dynamics: Key data: ➡️Indian population will grow to 1.7 billion and then decline by the end of the 21st century, returning to the present level of about 1.4 billion ➡️A narrowing gap between educated and less-educated women: between 2015-16 and 2019-21, the Total Fertility Rate (TFR) for women with 12 more years of education held steady at 1.7, while that for women with lower levels of education dropped ➡️Share of the population aged 60 and older will rise from 11 per cent to 28 per cent between 2021 and 2051. ➡️Working-age population will decline only slightly from 66 per cent to 64 per cent. ➡️Demographic Divergence: Due to early fertility decline, Tamil Nadu’s share of India’s population fell from 7.5% in 1971 to 6% in 2011, and continues to trend downward. ➡️Economic Offsetting: Despite shrinking population shares, lower fertility led to higher human capital investment. Tamil Nadu's share of India's GDP grew from 7.1% in the 1990s to 8.9% in 2023-24. ➡️Across three consecutive waves of the National Family Health Survey (2005 to 2021), both Hindu and Muslim communities recorded an identical decline in TFR of approximately 0.7. ➡️Unlike hyper-aged societies like Japan (where nearly 30% of women remain unmarried in their 30s), India retains a robust family architecture, with 97% of women married by age 30. The challenge is not population size, but effectively managing structured demographic change. #gs1 @anupkmahala Indian Express newspaper

Just look at the timetable. Those of you who are going to appear in 2027, it should be noted that how papers are scheduled one after the another. You have to write two papers on a single day continuously for 2 days and then again 2 more days. Mains happens to be the most laborious , you have to write continuously. Only those aspirants who have mastered answer writing day in and day out emerges victorious. So, practice answer writing as much as you can till the month of December. Also, cover the Prelims syllabus at-least twice till December. Then , from January you can start revising prelims exclusive things. This way you will cover prelims syllabus atleast 4 times. If you are able to do these things, Prelims would be much easier for you and u will also perform better in Mains. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

“G Minus 2” Strategy for Indo Pacific by Prof C RAJA MOHAN: The "G Minus 2" strategy represents a collective effort by resident Indo-Pacific powers to expand their geopolitical room for maneuver and widen their strategic horizons by deepening cooperation among themselves. Key pillars: ➡️The strategy is born out of structural anxiety among regional powers regarding a potential US-China condominium (a G2 world) ➡️It is not an alternative to the US alliance system, nor does it mean distancing from Washington ➡️It is not a rigid, containment-oriented anti-China alliance, nor is it a separate third bloc; it recognizes that complete commercial decoupling from China is unrealistic due to deep economic interdependence. The primary objective is to de-risk against Beijing’s potential weaponization of economic interdependence by building alternative, resilient supply chains in critical minerals, semiconductors, advanced tech, and maritime security. The ultimate efficacy of India's "G Minus 2" approach depends on its domestic economic competitiveness and defence industrial modernization.
