Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: "Do not belittle a small sin, for the biggest of fires can be caused by the smallest of sparks.” [al-Fawā'id | 3/227]
Abdullah Ibn Masud رضي الله عنه said: “Do not scatter the Quran as if it were dates falling from a tree, nor recite quickly as if it were poetry. Stop at its verses that amaze you and let it move your hearts. Let not your concern be reaching the end of the Surah.”
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله: "The ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are the best days in the sight of Allāh." [Zād al-Ma‘ād (1/56)]
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله: “The perfection of man is based on these two abilities: Knowledge and love. And the best knowledge is the knowledge about Allāh, and the highest love is the love for His Sake.” [al-Fawā’id | Pg. 83]
Sufyān al-Thawrī رحمه الله said: “Beware of discontinuing acts of righteousness after Ramadan. The best way to show that Ramadan was accepted is by continuing the good it brought." [Hilyat al-Awliya]
Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali رحمه الله said: “And the best of deeds is (to have) fear of Allāh in privacy and in open.”
Increase Your Supplications, Especially In The Odd Days & Nights Of The Last Ten Days of Ramaḍān Ibn Kathīr رحمه الله said: "It is recommended to increase (one's) supplication at all times, more so in the odd days of the last ten days of the month of Ramaḍān. (Furthermore), it is recommended to increase one's supplication of this du'ā': اللهم إنك عفو تحب العفو فاعف عني 'Allaahumma Innaka 'Afuwwun Tuḥibbul 'Afwa Fa'fu 'Annee’ (O Allāh, indeed You are the One who pardons and You love to pardon; so pardon me).” [تفسير ابن كثير ٨/٤٥١]
Ibn al-Jawzī رحمه الله said: "If you find a darkness in your heart after you have sinned, then know that in your heart there is light, because of that light you felt darkness."
Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said: “For indeed the praise (of Allāh) before the supplication is a cause for the acceptance of the supplication.”
Ibn Qudama al-Maqdisy رحمه الله said: "From the mannerisms of fasting is not to fill oneself up with food at night, rather he eats proportionately. For indeed, the son of Adam does not fill a vessel worse than his stomach. Whenever he eats to his full at the beginning of the night [Ifṭār time] he will not benefit from the remainder of the night. Similarly if he eats to his full in the pre-dawn meal [Suḥoor] he will not benefit [with himself in terms of worship] till close to Dhuhr time. That is due to plentiful eating causing laziness and lethargy and then he misses the point of fasting, since the point is that he tastes hunger itself and is able to leave that which he desires [from plentiful food]."
Shaykh Salih al Fawzan حفظه الله: “Whoever witnesses Ramadan and Allah gives him the ability to benefit from it; Allah has blessed him with a tremendous blessing that has no equivalent to it.”
Shaykh Ibn Bāz رحمه الله said: "I do not know of anything specific for Welcome Ramaḍān except that the Muslim receives it with happiness, cheerfulness, great pleasure and thankfulness that Allāh has brought Ramaḍān to him, as well as being thankful for making him from the successful whom He has allowed to live (during this month) and be from those who compete in righteous actions. Indeed, witnessing a new Ramaḍān is an immense blessing from Allāh and due to this fact the Prophet ﷺ used to give glad tidings to his Companions at the commencement of Ramaḍān, exemplifying it's merits and what Allāh has prepared from the fast rewards for those who fast and stand in prayer. And it is legislated that the Muslim receives this noble month by making sincere repentance. [الاختيارات الفقهية ص ٢١٣]
Understand The Importance Of The Tarāweeḥ Prayer Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever prays during Ramadan with Eeman and seeking reward (from Allāh) his past sins will be forgiven." Shaykh Muḥammad Ṣāliḥ al-'Uthaymīn رحمه الله mentioned: "O Muslims! Indeed the Tarāweeḥ prayer is a worship and not just (robotic-type) movements and actions that the person doesn't know what he's saying or doing. The point is worshipping Allāh, not enumeration of the Raka'at (counting them down). Consider the example of the Prophet ﷺ in his usual night prayer, 'Āisha رضي الله عنها reported that the Prophet ﷺ would stand in prayer at night until his feet would become swollen. So I said to him: "Why do you do this O Messenger of Allāh and Allāh has already drove in your past and future sins?" He said: "Should I not be a grateful servant?" [صحيح البخاري ١١٣٠، صحيح مسلم ٢٨٢٠]
Abundance For 4 Habits In Ramadan Shaykh Uthaymeen رحمه الله said: “Focus on asking Allaah in abundance for four habits in Ramadan, two which are pleasing to Allaah and two which are a necessity. As for the two which are pleasing to your Lord: • The first is the Shahada, La ilaha ilallaah. • The second is seeking repentance. As for the two which are a necessity, they are asking Allaah for Paradise and seeking refuge in Allaah from the fire. Make sure that you focus on supplications.”

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: “Abandoning desires for the sake of Allāh will rescue the servant from the punishment of Allāh and will guarantee one to obtain His mercy. The precious qualities of Allāh, the treasure of piety, pleasure, longing for Him, joy and the happiness found in being close to Him will never happen to the heart that cares for anyone or anything besides Allāh - even if he was among the people of worship, piety, and knowledge.” [al-Fawā’id]
