#CentralSyria | #RuralHama: A Christian town suffers daily incursions and violations at the hand of Islamists from nearby town. The Christian town of Kafr Buhum (also known as Kfarbo), South Wast of Hama city, has been suffering from daily incursions from outsiders coming from other towns, acting on sectarian motives they come on motor bikes and harass the women of the town and disturb its peace. According to reports, last week the tensions reached a point where local men were forced to defend a woman harassed by those outsiders, and chased them out of town, then STG security forces came and arrested the local men who defended their women. This causes the locals to protest and demand their detained townsmen released, the next day STG yielded and released those men. Such incidents have become a normal occurrence in Syria, in what looks like to have become a methodical practice used to pressure the Christian communities across Syria, especially Hama. The same playbook was used against Suqailabiyah few weeks ago, and Mhardah earlier, and these acts seem to not have an end in sight while the perpetrators enjoy the protection of the authorities. Meanwhile, a number of Christian figures have sounded the alarm on the erosion of the Christian community, as the Christian population have dwindled down to mere 300k in Syria, which marks an existential crisis for the community which had a 2 million population in Syria in 2011, before the "revolution". 🇷🇺👻🇩🇪 Germany is sounding the alarm over Putin's warning about a response to attempts to seize Russian vessels. Maritime shipping security expert Moritz Brake told Bild that Germany should take the Russian president's warning seriously. According to the German Insurance Association, a Russian response could prove costly for European trade and shipping companies, with insurers likely to tighten coverage terms and rerouted shipments driving up delivery times and costs. The Association of German Shipowners has also voiced concern. Putin had earlier said that authorities in some Western countries had floated the idea of seizing Russian vessels and selling off the seized property. Seventh Annual St. Herman Pan-Orthodox Campout Set for Kentucky CUMBERLAND FALLS, KY — Orthodox Christians from Kentucky, Tennessee, and surrounding states will gather Sept. 25–27 for the seventh annual St. Herman Pan-Orthodox Campout near Cumberland Falls. The gathering began in 2020 as an outdoor opportunity for Orthodox Christians to share fellowship and prayer.
