Sa’eed ibn Jubayr رحمه الله said: “It is more beloved for me to spread my knowledge than taking it to my grave!” [Siyar A'lam al-Nubala: 4/326]

Salamah ibn Dīnār رحمه الله said: “There are three qualities that whoever has them, his intellect will become complete, and whoever has one [of these three qualities], a third of his intellect becomes complete: 1) He knows his level, 2) and preserves his tongue, 3) and is content with what Allāh has provided [him with].” [Tārīkh Dimishq: 22/67]

Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal said: “The graves of the evildoers among the people of Sunnah are a garden from the gardens of Paradise, whilst the graves of the [devout] worshippers among the people of Bid'ah are a pit from the pits of Hellfire.” [Al-Lata'if of Abu Musa al-Madini 218]
