Scammers are impersonating official BAPS groups, using fake profiles with relevant names and photos to trick recipients. 🛡️ Things to Watch Out For: - Unsolicited messages claiming “group upgrade”, “verified community page”, or “adding you with a code” - Requests to send verification codes received via SMS/email - Short voice calls followed by “Did you get the code?” - Profiles with recently created accounts (joined last month) and unknown phone numbers - Pressure tactics like “Hurry”, “Let me add you now” - Messages mixing official-sounding terms with urgent personal requests ✅ Safety Precautions: - Never share any verification code, OTP, or personal details with anyone - Do not reply or engage — block and report immediately - Verify all group invites/official announcements only through trusted BAPS sources (official apps, websites, or channels) - Enable two-step verification on WhatsApp and your email - Report the contact as spam in WhatsApp We will NEVER ask you to send verification codes over chat or call. 🛡️ Stay alert.
