Beautiful dua for protection: Supplication of Ibn Abbas when he entered the morning was اللهم إني أسألك بنور وجهك الذي أشرقت له السماوات والأرض، أن تجعلني في حرزك، وحفظك، وجوارك، وتحت كنفك. مصنف ابن أبي شيبة | ج ٦ ص ٦٩ "O Allah, I ask You by the light of Your Face, by which the heavens and earth are illuminated, to place me under Your protection, Your preservation, Your guardianship, and under Your care." [Musanaf Ibn Abi Sheiba, Vol 6, Pg 69] @dailydawah (telegram)
Istighfar: Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said: "Asking for Allaah’s forgiveness is more important than any other du’aa." [جامع_المسائل ٦\٢٧٧] @dailydawah (telegram)
Last hour of Friday: "Be certain... the hand stretched to the heavens doesn't return empty. So many wishes thought impossible were brought forth by a dua! Umar embraced Islam due to a dua, Tustar was conquered by a dua, Zakariya was given a child by a dua, hardship was lifted from Ayyub by a dua, and the tribe of Daws was guided by a dua. Dua is the refuge of the righteous and the resort of the pious. Hold onto dua tightly, for that's where giving lies...!" @dailydawah (telegram)

Beware of spending your time in silence, for it is one of the causes that brings about waswasah (whispers from Shaytan): Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: Being silent without recitation, without dhikr, and without dua is not an act of worship nor is it commanded. Rather, it opens the door to waswasah. So occupying yourself with the remembrance of Allah is better than being silent." السكوت بلا قراءة ولا ذكر ولا دعاء ، ليس عبادة ولا مأمورا به ؛ بل يفتح باب الوسوسة ، فالاشتغال بِذِكْر الله أفضل من السكوت [Al-Fatawa | Vol. 23, p. 286] @dailydawah (telegram)

Best deed: Ibn Abu Ad-Dunya and Al-Bayhaqi, reported from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet peace be upon him was asked: “Which are the best deeds?” The Prophet peace be upon him replied: "Happiness which you bring to a Muslim, to pay off his debt, or to feed him with bread …” Al-Manawawi said in his book Faydh Al-Qadeer when commenting on this Hadeeth: “The best deeds: means the best deeds after the obligatory ones, as mentioned in another narration, i.e. the acts that the believer does for his fellow Muslim brothers. To bring happiness to the heart of a brother, meaning, his brother in faith even if he is not his blood brother. Bringing happiness by making him happy whether it is regarding his the religion and a worldly matter. To pay off a debt for him, a debt that he is obliged to repay, because it results in relieving him from distress and removing humiliation from him. To feed him even as little as bread and more, like meat. He specifically mentioned bread because it is easily available, so that there would be no justification for a person not to be kind to his brothers. However, it is better to feed him with something that he likes.” [End of quote] @dailydawah (telegram)

Before you start venting your sorrows or sharing your private secrets and talks with others, ask yourself these three questions: - Why are you sharing? If there’s no real benefit, then don’t seek comfort by revealing secrets. - To whom are you sharing? If it’s not someone who will benefit you or someone you can trust with your talk, then don’t gamble with something you’ll regret tomorrow. - What are you sharing? Because there are secrets whose rightful place is to be buried with you @dailydawah (telegram)
The Qur'an [Al-Isra 17:25] "Your Lord knows best what is in your hearts. If you are righteous, then indeed He is ever Forgiving to those who return [to Him]." Explanation / Tafsir "Your Lord knows best what is in your hearts" — meaning: He knows what is in your hearts regarding kindness to parents and disobedience to them. "(If you are righteous)" — meaning: if you are dutiful and obedient after you fell short before in fulfilling the duty owed to parents and others, "(then indeed He is ever Forgiving to those who return)" — meaning: to those who turn back to Him in repentance after sin. --- Statements of the Scholars about "Al-Awwabeen" = those who return [to Allah]: Saeed ibn Jubayr said regarding this verse: "It is the man from whom there comes a slip toward his parents, while he only intended good. He will not be held to account for it." Saeed ibn Al-Musayyib said: "Al-Awwab" is: the one who sins, then repents, then sins, then repents. Saeed ibn Jubayr said: The one who constantly returns to doing good. From Ibn Abbas, he said: It is the one who returns to Allah in what distresses him and what befalls him. From Saeed ibn Jubayr from Ibn Abbas, he said: They are Al-Musabbihoon — those who glorify Allah. As evidence: His saying "O mountains, echo [His praise] with him" [Saba 34:10] — “awwibi ma‘ah”. Qatadah said: They are those who pray. ‘Awf Al-‘Uqayli said: They are those who pray Duha prayer [the forenoon prayer]. @dailydawah (telegram)
1000 good deeds a day? (multiplied in Ramadan): Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said: "Is anyone of you incapable of earning one thousand Hasanah (rewards) a day?" Someone from the gathering asked, "How can anyone of us earn a thousand Hasanah?" Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said: "Glorify Allah a hundred times by just saying “Subhanallah” and a Good deeds will be written for you, or a thousand sins will be wiped away.” (Muslim 4:2073) @dailydawah (telegram)
Whoever loves that, they'll be plentiful in remembering him (Dhikr): Ibn al-Qayyim said: “Indeed Allah has made a means for attaining everything. He has made continuous remembrance (dhikr) the means for love. So, whoever wants the love of Allah, then let him fervently remember Him.” Dhū al-Nūn (raḥimahullāh) said: “Whoever’s heart and tongue are occupied with dhikr, Allah casts into his heart the light of longing for Him.” Al-Rabīʿ b. Anas (raḥimahullāh) said: “The sign of the love of Allah is that there is a great deal of remembrance of Him, because if you ever love a thing you remember it a great deal.” Ibn al-Qayyim (raḥimahullāh) wrote: ‘Dhikr of the heart and tongue leads one to know Allah, inspires love, encourages modesty, and leads to fear and self-examination. It keeps one from falling short in obedience to Him and prevents one from taking sins lightly.’ ‘In regards to dhikr, people are on one of two levels. For the general Muslims, it is to earn rewards. For the elite, however, it is to draw near to Allah and be in His presence. What a tremendous gulf there is between the two levels. What a difference there is between one who takes his reward from behind a veil, and one who is drawn close and becomes of the elite lovers!’ (Ibn Juzayy raḥimahullāh) @dailydawah (telegram)
Allah says in surah al-Baqarah: [وَإِذْ يَرْفَعُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ الْقَوَاعِدَ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ] "And remember when Ibrahim and Isma'il raised the foundations of the House: 'O our Lord, accept it from us! You are the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.'" [127] Ibn Abi Hatim narrated ... that Wuhayb ibn al-Ward recited this ayah and then cried, saying, "Khalil al-Rahman, you are building up the House of al-Rahman, and yet you are worried that He won't accept it from you?!"
