  • For those interested here’s the greater breakdown of how I helped out my dad with a list of “diseases.” But as I’ve said before and always will - the biggest factor in my opinion was my dad’s ability to not be “scared” of going against what they told him. He had a strong mentality.

  • Okay...so restoring any damaged organ is straightforward - it’s our mind that makes it very complicated and hard. The fear / the confusion / the lack of understanding in how body gives us feedback. This is why simply following a “guide” or a “protocol” won’t cut it. And this is why I continue to educate on HOW the body heals itself, HOW it communicates with us via symptoms and HOW to support it as it does. Nonetheless there are things we can do (and things we shouldnt do) to help recovery of any damage to the urinary tract and or kidneys. 1. Whole foods, real foods diet. I lean towards higher carb (fruits and veggies) plus some protein and lower fat. So you’re talking all fruits, veggies, some beans, quality plant or animal proteins, organ meats, and even a little complex carbs and starches like some organic rice and potatoes are okay to keep you sane. The main thing is lots of fruits and vegetables for the hydration and mineral content. 2. Non toxic pure water (get yourself a water filter of some kind). No, the cheap ones won’t do. 3. Hydrate much more than you’re likely doing. Eat your minerals with your fruits but then get in at least a couple L of plain water per day for a period of time to flush things through. 4. Quality herbs are really helpful especially for those who are used to “taking” something. 5. Weight loss is critical if there is excess body fat and visceral fat. 6. Movement. If not strong enough to lift weights or do other things, walking every single day is absolutely needed. My dad after a few months out of the ICU was doing 4-5 miles per day outside just around the neighborhood. These are the bare minimum goals. He healed himself with zero money, no job and we did very simply things to get him back up and going again. Cost me about 200-250 bucks a month for these things. Plus his groceries of course. Bodies can recover and improve. This has been shown over and over again.

  • More details below ⬇️

  • What they CAN say is some version of the following IMO ... “look this is what we offer, this is what we do all day everyday, we don’t see people get off because in the few incidents we never see them again. But what we can say is that the people we see remain on it and then either stay on it or get a transplant. We don’t know what’s possible for you, we don’t know if you did other things if they would help you or not. We don’t study people who get dialysis versus those who do other non conventional treatments. ..” That is what they can sincerely say and that’s fine. if you recover or not will be solely up to you and your willingness to do somethings that they will have no understanding of. And what’s worse is they will overstep and often tell you that it “won’t help” simply because they have no experience with it. Or they will tell you that you’ll die type stuff. That’s the issue I take and that’s what happened to my dad repeatedly while in that system. And that’s not okay. They don’t have the backing even in the research to say that. Now I think it’s fair to say what you have genuinely experienced or seen professionally and any patterns seen so someone can take that info if they want but that’s it.

  • The field of nephrology, as it relates to kidney disease and kidney failure, is a bit of a racket. The nephrologists make their rounds in the ICU, scooping up the patients with worsening kidney function, putting them on dialysis 3x/week and funneling them onto transplant lists. They very rarely if ever take people off. When I called the nephrologist’s office and told the receptionist we were done with dialysis and needed to get the catheter removed, he paused and said “wait, what? that doesn’t happen, congratulations!” I spent months trying to get second opinions and “trials of therapy” before this. They wouldn’t do it or they’d placate me by saying they’d order more labs or a 24 hour urine if he started producing enough urine. Well, the issue is (and perhaps a bit of a trick now that I know how this works ) you can’t typically produce enough urine if you’re being dialyzed 3x/week. Like oncology, they insist their dialysis or transplant interventions are the “only way,” even when the “survival benefit” is weaker than they admit and they never test whether the body can recover on its own. No RCTs on standard dialysis versus none. Yep, unethical they say. But as any recovery, it usually only works as well as the person does. Dad still struggles with his old habits which just like all of us is always difficult to really let go of. He’s actively revisiting the same changes he did back then to get himself back on track as we speak. I’m not telling you what’s possible for you, I’m telling you what’s possible for bodies. Not medical advice as your situation will always be unique to you.

  • While I was in the ICU with my dad in 2022/2023, I learned something.

  • CARBIES! Carb haters are hungry and they are spewing lies out of that physiologic anger. 🙃

  • Skin oiling (Abhyanga) Your oil glands cluster in the “seborrheic” zones, so that’s face, scalp, chest, and upper back. Those are the areas to really pay attention to when you do this. Most people neglect their head, mostly because they don’t want to wash the oil back out, but definitely do the head. And it’s no wonder so many struggle with overall head drainage (recurring head colds and sinus issues), breakouts, and thinning hair. That’s one of the oiliest, most active surfaces on the body. Same with the feet. In Ayurveda the feet are a reflection of the entire body and it’s another area most people neglect entirely. Something else I’ve noticed over the years is the “anti-aging” edge. This reduces moisture loss, and skin that holds its moisture stays looking fresh and supple far longer. In the literature it’s called transepidermal water loss, and these oils help keep moisture in the upper skin layer. Lastly, this therapy is considered deeply supportive for the nervous system in Ayurveda. And a small study backed that up. Abhyanga significantly lowered subjective stress and heart rate AND it dropped blood pressure in the participants who were already prehypertensive. How I do it: - Warm the oil first by sitting your glass bottle in a bowl of hot water. - Use organic cold pressed or expeller pressed sesame or coconut. - Do short strokes, medium pressure, EVERY area you can reach. - Always get your entire feet, every time. - Get your scalp at least once a week. - Let it sit 15 minutes. - wash it off in warm shower with a non toxic soap (even better in ocean). - Get most of the oil off, including scalp and feet. - You’re washing away what the oil lifted off you. Pat dry. - The thin layer left behind keeps sealing some moisture in ☀️🫶

  • Hot off the press… Your joint pain, arthritis, and gout aren't joint problems, they're your kidneys backing up and dumping waste into low-circulation areas like your joints. Fix the kidneys and the joints follow. https://youtu.be/uYhPVxipmE0?is=lv4l_1MUC389hxJv
