Over the past few months, I’ve been reshaping the way I work online. For now — at least until the end of the year — I’ve decided to take a break from long courses and shift towards smaller, more focused formats. Right now, we’re in the first month of my Secret Floorwork Club, and it already has over 140 members (!). I’m feeling truly excited — because this Saturday, I’ll be teaching my very first online workshop as part of the club 😇 🧠 I originally created this session as an exclusive practice for club members. But I’ve decided to open the workshop for everyone who wants to try floorwork with me. 👉 Details: 📍 Online, on Zoom 📅 Saturday, Sept 27 ⏰ 17:00 Helsinki time (2 hours) 💸 19€ total You’ll get: ✔ Technique breakdown for building leg lines ✔ Deep insights that helped me improve my own dancing ✔ A short dance routine ✔ And if you can’t join live — the recording is available! Join us via the link 💌 After payment, message me so I can add you to the list and send all the access info. ❗️if you are a member of Tier 2 of the Club, this workshop is included for you! You will get a link in our chat on Patreon. If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to explore floorwork — this might be it 🥳🙌🏻
September work season has officially started (even though mine never really stopped 😅). Already had two calls today: 🌀 One for polishing choreo before an upcoming performance 🎯 Another for setting clear goals for private sessions I rarely do 1:1 work and only take 2 people per month. September is already fully booked. But if you have a specific request and need my support — you can message me, and I’ll add you to the October list (only 2 spots available). Details — in DM 💌 @morella_dance

Quotes ⬇️ About qualities of a teacher “There is no one 'treatment of choice' for trauma, and any there ist who believes that his or her particular method is the only answer to your problems is suspect of being an ideologue rather than some body who is interested in making sure that you get well. No therapist can possibly be familiar with every effective treatment, and he or she must be open to your exploring options other than the ones he or site offers. He or she also must be open to learning from you. Gender, race, and personal background are relevant only if they interter with helping the patient feel safe and understood” About a feeling of safety next to your teacher “Do you feel basically comfortable with this therapist? Does he or she seem to feel comfortable in his or her own skin and with you as a fellow human being? Feeling safe is a necessary condition for you to confront your fears and anxieties. Someone who is stern, judgemental, agitated, or harsh is likely to leave you feeling scared, abandoned, and humiliated, and that won't help you resolve your traumatic stress” Source: The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van Der Kolk

Yesterday I officially started my biomechanics training 🎓 To get my international certificate, I’ll need to complete 70 lessons and pass the final exam. The lecture format is such a pleasure for me — I’m naturally a researcher and used to academic-style learning, so studying this way feels amazing. I’ve already completed the first few lessons and I’m absolutely in love with this topic. Once again, I’m convinced: every acro and floorwork instructor must understand biomechanics if they want to improve their dancers’ performance, make their movements more efficient, and reduce the risk of injury. Knowing how the body, the muscles, and the connective tissues work also teaches us how to distribute force between different parts of the body and interact with the floor in a smarter way. For me, this knowledge is essential — and I can’t wait to start sharing it with you and applying it even more effectively in my practice 🥰👏🏻
Btw, that’s the post I’m talking about :) more than 100 comments!!! https://www.instagram.com/p/DMx3x06I-M7/?igsh=dmZzYXQzMDFuMW4y
Two real stories about nervous system regulation 🧠 1. I’ve been waiting for my passport from the UK visa center for over 1.5 months. Because of that, I’ve missed several trips and lost a lot of money. A few years ago, I would’ve exploded with anger. Now I know I can’t control the situation — and I choose to focus on what I can do next instead of destroying myself emotionally 💁🏻♀️ The only thing that truly hurts is knowing my friend and I had planned that trip together for a long time. 2. Yesterday I posted about why many dance teachers avoid beginners — and got one of my first hate comments. A stranger called me “trash.” Not fun, but also… not personal. That person felt triggered, and instead of reflecting or unfollowing quietly, they chose to react with hate. That tells me a lot about their inner state — not mine. 💡The way we react to delays, stress, or even internet comments is not random. It’s a direct mirror of how safe (or unsafe) our nervous system feels on a daily basis. Regulated nervous system = regulated life.
You definitely didn’t expect this from me 🙃 The last few months have been full of beautiful work — I led several online courses, taught workshops in Germany, France, Finland, Estonia, and guided dancers at an acro dance camp in Thailand. I was also invited to teach at one of the top dance studios in Paris, which was a huge honor 🇫🇷 But to be honest… these months also felt like a period of stagnation in my personal growth. When you give so much of your energy to others, it’s easy to forget to invest in your own development — especially physically. And I feel it’s time. I can’t stay still in my evolution — especially if I want to grow not only as a dancer, but as a true dance instructor. And for that, I need knowledge that goes beyond what the dance world usually offers. So here’s the big news I’m excited to share: 🎓 I’m starting my international certification as a Biomechanics Specialist. Even though biomechanics and somatic practices have always been a part of my teaching, I have to admit — I’m self-taught. I’ve read a lot, watched countless materials, and taken many unofficial courses. But when your blog reaches a wide audience and people rely on your expertise, you carry real responsibility. That’s why I believe it’s my duty to confirm my knowledge with official certifications. This is just the first step of something much bigger I’ve planned — but for me, it’s already a huge achievement. Thank you for your support. It truly means the world 🤍
I’m super picky when it comes to dancewear. Quality matters to me A LOT. I’ve never ordered anything from Shein 🙅🏼♀️ and I rarely do collabs with brands. I’ve been dancing in @bonafide gear for 5+ years — my leggings are actually 6 years old 🦕 and still alive! That brand has never let me down. But for months I’ve been looking for a set in one very specific color. I asked friends, searched online… nothing. Until one day I randomly found a small brand’s page and ordered the set. It just arrived… and OMG, I tried it on and I don’t wanna take it off 🥹 Unboxing & try-on coming soon in stories! 🎁👀
🧠 Why I work with the Nervous System — not just teach tricks I repeatedly mention I have a special approach to teaching, but many people wonder what I mean by that. For me, the trick is never the main goal. It’s just the tip of the iceberg. The real work happens deeper — in the connection between your body and your nervous system. Because only through that connection can true, long-lasting movement quality appear. When you just copy a shape, your body might repeat it mechanically. But if you don’t feel where your weight is, how your spine is organized, or which muscles are supporting your joints — you’re not truly in control of the movement. And if you’re not in control, the result won’t stay with you for long. 📌 Why will my students keep their results for months? Because we don’t only “memorize” movement — we rebuild patterns in the brain. Through small steps, attention to sensation, and soft adjustments, the body starts to move in a new, more intelligent way. This is not a fast path. But it is the most sustainable. Without injuries. Without burnout. Without the feeling of “I failed again.” 💡 When you train through awareness, your body gives back: with precision, control, and grace. Even after months, it remembers. Because it didn’t repeat after the teacher — it learned to feel.
What’s happening with my blog and what I planned for this year ⬆️
One month left in France 🇫🇷 I’ll be teaching here until July 28, and then starting my next travel plans. If you’re in France and want to train with me in person — this is your last chance before I leave Europe for the autumn and winter ❄️🌍 I’ll visit a couple more European cities after that, but where I’m going next is still a big personal secret 🤫 There might be one final workshop in Helsinki in September, and it could be my last in-person event this year. So if you’d like to dance or train acro with me, let me know in the comments 💬
I was thinking how I could make a learning process more engaging for beginners, so they don’t feel bored by preparatory positions. In fact, you can see preparatory shoulder stands everywhere in floorwork, you just don’t realize that these movements are based on similar techniques. This time, I included mini combos for each type of the shoulder stands everywhere, so you can use it in your dance performances right away!
