Certain hardships are so consuming that we cannot focus on anything but the difficulty. But we have to remember that if we were to count the blessings of Allah, we would not be able to count them. Reminding ourselves of the other blessings in our lives helps us to see the test within the context of the grand scheme of things. Just the fact that you can make prostration and call out, “O Allah!” is a blessing that surpasses all others.

A woman's true beauty is not in her features or shade of her skin, It is in her heart, her Iman, her Taqwa & her love for the Deen. So few men understand this, but even fewer women do. We live in a world that constantly teaches women to measure their worth by mirrors, filters, and fleeting standards. Skin tone, facial features, body shape. All of it is made to seem like the definition of beauty. But the truth is far deeper, far more lasting. A woman’s true beauty is not something the eye can fully capture. It is the softness of her heart when she remembers her Lord. It is the strength of her īmān when she is tested. It is her taqwā that holds her back when no one is watching. It is her love for the Deen that shapes her choices, her words, her silence, and her entire life. Beauty fades. Youth slips away. Trends change. But a heart connected to Allah only grows more radiant with time. How many women exhaust themselves trying to perfect their outer appearance yet neglect the very thing that gives them true value? And how many men fail to see beyond what is visible, overlooking the light of faith within a woman? The real tragedy is not that people don’t understand this. It is that even women forget it themselves. Work on your heart. Beautify your soul. Protect your modesty. Strengthen your connection with Allah. Because the beauty that is seen by people may earn admiration, but the beauty that is seen by Allah earns His love. And what is greater than being loved by your Creator? Choose a beauty that does not fade. A beauty that will stand for you on the day when nothing else will.

The Arrogance of the Untested It is easy to judge someone when you have never stood in their place. “I would never do that.” “How could they be so impatient?” “I would never disobey Allah in that situation.” But sometimes what you condemn in others is a test you have simply not faced yet. You don’t know how you would react to the same pain. So be grateful when Allah protects you from a sin but never be arrogant about it. Your steadfastness is a blessing from Allah. And hearts are in the hands of the Most Merciful.

On this blessed day of Friday, seek forgiveness for the sins you've committed during the past week. Send salawaat on the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the leader of this Ummah. Read Surah Al-Kahf, as it will be a light for you until next Friday. Take advantage of the last hour before Maghrib, isolate yourself, and make duaa for all that your heart desires. It’s okay to have a hard time. it’s okay to feel sad, confused, overwhelmed, or stuck between emotions you don’t know how to name. that doesn’t make you weak in your deen.the Prophet ﷺ felt deeply. he grieved. he cried. he let himself feel. so why do we think we have to be okay all the time? you can be hurting and still have sabr. you can feel lost and still trust Allah. you can be struggling and still be a good muslim. be gentle with yourself. Allah knows what your heart is carrying.

5 Things That Protect You Fudayl ibn Iyad رحمه الله said: “Whoever abandons 5 things is truly protected from the evil of this world and the Hereafter: self-amazement, showing off, arrogance, seeking leadership, and seeking status.” Ḥilyat al-Awliyāʾ (8/95) You don’t need everyone to know what you have achieved. You don’t need applause for every good deed. You don’t need to be above others. You don’t need to lead every room. And you don’t need people to know your name. Sometimes the greatest success is to remain unknown to people while being known to Allah. Purify your intention. That is where real freedom begins.

The Clarity That Comes Through Hardship… Has it ever occurred to you that sometimes Allah does not remove the heaviness in our lives right away because the heaviness is revealing what we have been leaning on. The tests in our lives do not only show us pain. They show us our attachments, our fears, our hidden expectations, our need to be in control, and the places where our tawakkul in Allah was still only a beautiful idea, not yet a lived reality. And perhaps this is why some hardships become turning points. Not because life suddenly becomes easier, but because the heart finally becomes honest. It stops pretending to be strong on its own. It stops worshipping outcomes. It stops asking only for the burden to leave, and begins asking Allah to make it through the burden with faith intact. And thus there are moments in our lives when relief is not the first gift. Sometimes the first gift is clarity. Then surrender. Then closeness. And only Allah knows which of these we needed most.
