- 14 авг.A Day at the ATOM Museum ⚛️ InteRussia energy fellows from Latin America visited the ATOM Museum at VDNH, exploring the history, development and future of Russia’s nuclear industry. During the guided tour, the fellows: 🔷 learned about key milestones in nuclear energy and Russian nuclear science; 🔷 explored modern nuclear technologies through interactive exhibits; 🔷 visited the special exhibition Atomarium and learned about particle acceleration, nuclear fusion and the principles behind a reactor. The visit gave the fellows an opportunity to better understand the role of nuclear energy in today’s energy landscape and its future development. - 13 июл.Inside EFKO: Leadership, Innovation, and a Taste of the Future On 10 July, our InteRussia Journalism fellows visited EFKO, a Russian food company, where they met with Sergei Ivanov, Executive Director and member of the company's Board. EFKO is one of Russia's leading food technology companies, known not only for producing food products, but also for investing in biotechnology, alternative proteins, and innovative approaches to sustainable food production. During the meeting, participants discussed: ⭕️ Why empathy is not a weakness, but a leadership strategy; ⭕️How the African philosophy of Ubuntu — "I am because we are" — inspires EFKO's approach to management and international cooperation; ⭕️ The company's projects across Africa and its vision for long-term partnerships; ⭕️ How innovation is transforming the future of food and biotechnology. And because the best way to understand innovation is to experience it, the fellows also tasted one of EFKO's signature developments — sugar-free sweets made with sweet protein. - 8 июл.InteRussia Launches Fellowship for African Journalists 🎙 On 7 July, the InteRussia fellowship programme for journalists from African countries officially opened at the headquarters of the International Information Agency and Radio Sputnik in Moscow. The opening ceremony featured welcoming remarks by: ⭕️Vasily Pushkov, Director of the International Cooperation Directorate, Russia Today Media Group; ⭕️ Sergey Orlov, Deputy Executive Director of the Gorchakov Fund; ⭕️ Elena Litvichenko, representative of Rossotrudnichestvo. Sergey Orlov welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of cooperation in the sphere of journalism. «The main goal of this programme is to show how we live and work in Russia, introduce you to our country, and explain why Africa is important to Russia today. We are honoured to host young journalists from nine African countries, and we hope this month in Moscow will be special for you». The fellows are young media professionals from Burundi, Zambia, Cameroon, Kenya, Mozambique, Rwanda, Senegal, Somalia, and Uganda. Over the next month, participants will immerse themselves into the Russian media landscape, attend training sessions and workshops led by Sputnik experts, exchange professional experience with colleagues, and take part in events organised by the programme's partners. - 29 июн.The InteRussia Fellowship in Engineering Finishes in Novosibirsk 🧫 The InteRussia Fellowship for young engineering professionals has come to an end at Novosibirsk State University. Over the past month, participants from Ghana, Haiti, India, Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria, Peru, Serbia, South Africa, Sudan and Turkmenistan explored developments in artificial intelligence, engineering and modern technologies while working alongside leading Russian researchers and experts. What did the participants do during the fellowship? ⭕️ Studied AI applications and engineering solutions under the guidance of experts from Novosibirsk State University; ⭕️ Visited Technopark, Astra Production Company, Vega-Absolute, Novosibirskenergosbyt and Eltex to learn about Russian high-tech industries, telecommunications, energy and industrial automation; ⭕️ Presented their own projects and prototypes developed during the programme; ⭕️ Explored Novosibirsk through a city tour, visited the Cossack's Stockade, the Novosibirsk Zoo and the Novosibirsk Planetarium; ⭕️ Attended a performance at the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre (NOVAT). Throughout the fellowship, participants exchanged professional experience, established international connections and discovered both the scientific potential and the cultural heritage of Siberia. - 10 авг.A closer look at Russia’s energy sector 🔋 The InteRussia Energy Fellowship continued in Moscow. Over the past few days, fellows from Latin America visited Russian energy companies and museums to see how the industry works in practice and learn more about its history. 📍 Transneft The fellows visited the Transneft headquarters, where they learned about the company’s work and the processes involved in transporting oil. They also had a chance to see the “Returned History” exhibition, dedicated to Russian emigration and its legacy. 📍 Mosenergo Museum The fellows visited the Mosenergo Museum, where they explored the history of Moscow’s energy system. The tour focused on how thermal power plants work, how electricity and heat are produced, and what equipment is used at different stages of the process. The two visits covered different parts of the energy sector — the transportation of oil and the generation of electricity and heat. - 15 июл.🇧🇷 InteRussia in São Paulo Our InteRussia alumni came together in São Paulo on the sidelines of the First Russia–Latin America Cooperation Forum (CORAL 2026). Representing different fellowship tracks and countries, the graduates used this opportunity to reconnect, discuss their current projects, exchange professional experiences, and explore new ideas for future cooperation. The meeting once again demonstrated that the InteRussia community extends far beyond the fellowship itself. Even after returning home, our alumni continue to stay in touch, support one another, and meet at major international events around the world. - 3 авг.The InteRussia Fellowship for African Journalists Concludes in Moscow ⤵️ The InteRussia Fellowship for journalists from Burundi, Cameroon, Kenya, Mozambique, Rwanda, Senegal, Somalia, Uganda and Zambia officially cаme to an end. Over the course of the programme, participants explored the Russian media landscape, exchanged professional experience with leading experts and gained practical skills in multimedia journalism. What did the fellows do during the programme? 🔷Attended lectures and practical workshops at the International Information Agency and Radio Sputnik, learning about Russian media, multimedia production and digital storytelling; 🔷Recorded their own podcast as part of the fellowship's practical training; 🔷Visited IMA-press Communication Agency, the African Initiative News Agency, the Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and EFKO Company; 🔷Met with Sergey Ivanov, Executive Director of EFKO, and Georgy Borisenko, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, to discuss Russia-Africa cooperation and the role of media in international relations; 🔷Discovered Moscow through a sightseeing tour, a river cruise and a visit to the Ostankino TV Tower. Throughout the fellowship, participants built new professional connections, exchanged perspectives with Russian colleagues and gained a deeper understanding of Russia's media environment.
