What if… The more you are capable of extracting yourself from the matrix, the greater perspective you gain, which undoubtedly makes you see things differently and, more importantly, more clearly. Truth, as we have come to learn, is an incredibly elusive thing. Just as soon as you think you are getting closer to it, you realise you have only scratched the surface. Most of us who have been on this journey for a while know that truth can be unimaginably ugly and painful, and so we immediately want to believe there is a solution, an answer, a rescue plan, a hero… But what if the hero and the villain are two sides of the same coin? What if both lead to the same result? What if some are following one side and others are following the other, without realising that it is, in fact, the same coin, and that both are actually heading in the same direction? What if this binary construct is exactly what keeps us in the matrix? Good/evil, light/dark, us/them… What if it’s all an illusion? What if it’s the perfect way to make all sides end up in the same place? One side out of indoctrination, the other out of rebellion, each following their chosen side of the same coin. Both fooled, both manipulated, both trapped in this binary matrix… I know this is not what you want to hear, me neither, but this ‘what if’ has been growing in my mind over the last year and it’s not leaving me… in fact, it keeps getting louder. It’s such a wonderful thought to think we will be rescued. Nobody really wants to hear that we have to save ourselves, but if you think about it, the reason we ended up where we are is because we failed to take proper self-responsibility, so maybe now is the time, maybe this is what the lesson is all about. I think we need to step back and open our minds to the possibility that what is being sold to us as the ‘light’ may just be the other side of the dark coin. Of course, I could be massively wrong… But what I do know is that I trust no one, I follow no one, I believe nothing I see in the matrix, and the only truth I know to be real is within me. Between me and the Creator. Yes, there are a lot of ‘what ifs’ in my mind, forgive me for sharing them, but there is also an immutable, unwavering, unyielding faith that we will find the way. Not by following anyone, but by creating a new path with courage, truth, faith and love. I believe this is the answer. I believe this is the lesson.
