١ ربيع الأول ١٤٤٨ ه‍ الإمام جعفر الصادق عليه السلام إِنَّ لِلَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى حَوْلَ الْكَعْبَةِ عِشْرِينَ وَ مِائَةَ رَحْمَةٍ مِنْهَا سِتُّونَ لِلطَّائِفِينَ وَ أَرْبَعُونَ لِلْمُصَلِّينَ وَ عِشْرُونَ لِلنَّاظِرِينَ For God, the Noble and the Grand, there are 120 parts of mercy around the Kabah. From these, sixty are for those performing the tawaf (circumambulation) around the Kabah, forty are for those performing the prayers, and twenty are for those just looking (at the Kabah). الكافي، ج ٤، ص: ٢٤٠

٣٠ صفر ١٤٤٨ ه‍ الإمام علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام أَفْضَلُ الزُّهْدِ إِخْفَاءُ الزُّهْدِ The best level of asceticism is one in which one’s asceticism is concealed. نهج البلاغة، الحكمة ٢٨

٢٩ صفر ١٤٤٨ ه‍ الإمام جعفر الصادق عليه السلام عُقُوقُ الْوَالِدَيْنِ مِنَ الْكَبَائِرِ لِأَنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ جَعَلَ الْعَاقَّ عَصِيّاً شَقِيّاً Being disowned by one’s parents is one of the greatest sins. This is because God, the Almighty and the Glorious, has termed such a person disobedient and wretched. بحار الأنوار، ج ٧١، ص: ٧٤

٢٨ صفر ١٤٤٨ ه‍ رسول الله (صلّى الله عليه و آله و سلم‏) مَنْ كَفَّ غَضَبَهُ كَفَّ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَذَابَهُ For he who curbs his anger, God will curb His punishment from him. بحار الأنوار، ج ٦٨، ص: ٣٨٨

٢٧ صفر ١٤٤٨ ه‍ الإمام الباقر عليه السلام أَكْثِرْ ذِكْرَ الْمَوْتِ فَمَا أَكْثَرَ ذِكْرَ الْمَوْتِ إِنْسَانٌ إِلَّا زَهِدَ فِي الدُّنْيَا Remember death frequently, for no sooner does man increase his remembrance of death than he begins to renounce the life of this world. بحار الأنوار، ج ٦٨، ص: ٢٦٦

٢٦ صفر ١٤٤٨ ه‍ الإمام الرضا عليه السلام وَ بِرُّ الْوَالِدَيْنِ وَاجِبٌ وَ إِنْ كَانَا مُشْرِكَيْنِ وَ لَا طَاعَةَ لَهُمَا فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اَللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ لَا لِغَيْرِهِمَا فَإِنَّهُ لَا طَاعَةَ لِمَخْلُوقٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ الْخَالِقِ To do good to one’s parents is obligatory, even if they are of the polytheists; however, they should not be obeyed in acts that oppose the commands of God. بحار الأنوار، ج ١٠، ص: ٣٥٦

٢٥ صفر ١٤٤٨ ه‍ الإمام علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام الزَّاهِدُ فِي الدُّنْيَا مَنْ لَمْ يَغْلِبِ الْحَرَامُ صَبْرَهُ وَ لَمْ يَشْغَلِ الْحَلَالُ شُكْرَهُ One who practices asceticism from worldly pleasures allows neither prohibited things to overcome his perseverance [in the way of God], nor permissible things to distract him from his gratitude to God. بحار الأنوار، ج ٧٥، ص: ٣٧

٢٤ صفر ١٤٤٨ ه‍ الإمام علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام عْلَمْ يَا بُنَيَّ أَنَّكَ إِنَّمَا خُلِقْتَ لِلْآخِرَةِ لَا لِلدُّنْيَا وَ لِلْفَنَاءِ لَا لِلْبَقَاءِ وَ لِلْمَوْتِ لَا لِلْحَيَاةِ O my son! Know that you have been created not for this world but for the hereafter, not to stay but to depart, not for the worldly life but for demise. نهج البلاغة، الرسالة ٣١

٢٣ صفر ١٤٤٨ ه‍ الإمام جعفر الصادق عليه السلام عَنْ أَبِي وَلَّادٍ الْحَنَّاطِ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ الْإِمَامِ جَعْفَرٌ الصَّادِقُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ «وَ بِالْوالِدَيْنِ إِحْساناً» مَا هَذَا الْإِحْسَانُ؟ فَقَالَ: الْإِحْسَانُ أَنْ تُحْسِنَ صُحْبَتَهُمَا وَ أَنْ لَا تُكَلِّفَهُمَا أَنْ يَسْأَلَاكَ شَيْئاً مِمَّا يَحْتَاجَانِ إِلَيْهِ [Explaining the meaning of the words of God in the Quran, [“And be good to parents”] Being good to them means to accompany them in a good manner and never wait for them to ask you for what they need. بحار الأنوار، ج ٧١، ص: ٣٩

٢٢ صفر ١٤٤٨ ه‍ الإمام جعفر الصادق عليه السلام إِنَّ خَيْرَ مَا وَرَّثَ الْآبَاءُ لِأَبْنَائِهِمُ الْأَدَبُ لَا الْمَالُ فَإِنَّ الْمَالَ يَذْهَبُ وَ الْأَدَبَ يَبْقَى The best bequest parents can leave their offspring is not wealth, but good manners, as wealth will not remain, but good manners will. الكافي، ج ٨، ص: ١٥٠

٢١ صفر ١٤٤٨ ه‍ رسول الله (صلّى الله عليه و آله و سلم‏) نَظَرُ الْوَلَدِ إِلَى وَالِدَيْهِ حُبّاً لَهُمَا عِبَادَةٌ The look a child gives his parents with love is an act of worship. بحار الأنوار، ج ٧١، ص: ٨٠

٢٠ صفر ١٤٤٨ ه‍ الإمام جعفر الصادق عليه السلام اَلْقُرْآنُ عَهْدُ اللَّهِ إِلَى خَلْقِهِ فَقَدْ يَنْبَغِي لِلْمَرْءِ الْمُسْلِمِ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ فِي عَهْدِهِ وَ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ مِنْهُ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ خَمْسِينَ آيَةً The Quran has been entrusted by God to His creations; therefore, it is desirable for every Muslim to consider this trust and recite (a minimum of) 50 ayat (verses) of the Quran every day. الكافي، ج ٢، ص: ٦٠٩

١٩ صفر ١٤٤٨ ه‍ الإمام علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام مَنْ لَمْ يُقْنِعْهُ الْيَسِيرُ لَمْ يَنْفَعْهُ الْكَثِيرُ Those who are not content with a little will not be content with a lot. بحار الأنوار، ج ٧٥، ص: ٧١

١٨ صفر ١٤٤٨ ه‍ الإمام علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام رُبَّمَا أُخِّرَتْ عَنْكَ الْإِجَابَةُ لِيَكُونَ أَطْوَلَ لِلْمَسْأَلَةِ وَ أَجْزَلَ لِلْعَطِيَّةِ رُبَّمَا سَأَلْتَ الشَّيْءَ فَلَمْ تُؤْتَاهُ وَ أُوتِيتَ خَيْراً مِنْهُ عَاجِلًا أَوْ آجِلًا أَوْ صِرْتَ إِلَى مَا هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكَ فَلَرُبَّ أَمْرٍ قَدْ طَلَبْتَهُ وَ فِيهِ هَلَاكُ دِينِكَ وَ دُنْيَاكَ لَوْ أُوتِيتَهُ Perhaps the response (to your supplication) has been delayed in order for it to be a greater reward and a greater bestowal for you, or maybe you were not given something you requested so that instead you will be granted something better sooner or later; perhaps what you requested has been kept away from you for your own good, or maybe what you asked for would be detrimental to your religion or your life if it were to be given to you. بحار الأنوار، ج ٧٤، ص: ٢٠٧

١٧ صفر ١٤٤٨ ه‍ الإمام الحسن عليه السلام رَأَيْتُ أُمِّي فَاطِمَةَ عَلَيْهِا السَّلاَمُ قَامَتْ فِي مِحْرَابِهَا لَيْلَةَ جُمُعَتِهَا فَلَمْ تَزَلْ رَاكِعَةً سَاجِدَةً حَتَّى اتَّضَحَ عَمُودُ الصُّبْحِ وَ سَمِعْتُهَا تَدْعُو لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَات وَ تُسَمِّيهِمْ وَ تُكْثِرُ الدُّعَاءَ لَهُمْ وَ لَا تَدْعُو لِنَفْسِهَا بِشَيْءٍ فَقُلْتُ لَهَا «يَا أُمَّاهْ لِمَ لَا تَدْعِينَ لِنَفْسِكِ كَمَا تَدْعِينَ لِغَيْرِكِ؟» فَقَالَتْ «يَا بُنَيَّ الْجَارُ ثُمَّ الدَّارُ» On Thursday nights, I would see my mother Fatima (s.a.) in her prayer place bowing and prostrating continuously until morning, and I would hear her pray for the faithful men and faithful women, repeating their names and continuously supplicating God for them, but she would not pray for herself. I asked her, “Mother, why do you not pray for yourself as you pray for others?” She answered, “My son, first the neighbors, then the home.” بحار الأنوار، ج ٤٣، ص: ٨٢

١٦ صفر ١٤٤٨ ه‍ الإمام جعفر الصادق عليه السلام إِنَّ الْحِكْمَةَ الْمَعْرِفَةُ وَ التَّفَقُّهُ فِي الدِّينِ فَمَنْ فَقُهَ مِنْكُمْ فَهُوَ حَكِيمٌ Verily, wisdom is an inner knowledge and deep understanding of religion, for the one among you who understands the religion is truly a wise man. بحار الأنوار، ج ١، ص: ٢١٥

١٥ صفر ١٤٤٨ ه‍ الإمام جعفر الصادق عليه السلام آفَةُ الدِّينِ الْحَسَدُ وَ الْعُجْبُ وَ الْفَخْرُ Jealousy, self-admiration, and exhibitionism plague the religion. الكافي، ج ٢، ص: ٣٠٧

١٤ صفر ١٤٤٨ ه‍ الإمام جعفر الصادق عليه السلام إِذَا دَعَوْتَ فَظُنَّ أَنَّ حَاجَتَكَ بِالْبَابِ When you supplicate, be optimistic that your request has reached the door. الكافي، ج ٢، ص: ٤٧٣

١٣ صفر ١٤٤٨ ه‍ الإمام علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّمَا الدُّنْيَا دَارُ مَجَازٍ وَ الْآخِرَةُ دَارُ قَرَارٍ فَخُذُوا مِنْ مَمَرِّكُمْ لِمَقَرِّكُمْ O people! Verily, the world is not a real abode [but a passage], while the Hereafter is a permanent abode, so take [as much as you can] from the passage for the permanent abode. بحار الأنوار، ج ٧٠، ص: ١٣٤

١٢ صفر ١٤٤٨ ه‍ الإمام الباقر عليه السلام لَا يَكُونُ الْعَبْدُ عَالِماً حَتَّى لَا يَكُونَ حَاسِداً لِمَنْ فَوْقَهُ وَ لَا مُحَقِّراً لِمَنْ دُونَهُ No person is knowledgeable unless he does not envy his superior and does not scorn his inferior. بحار الأنوار، ج ٧٥، ص: ١٧٣
