Jana Abu Warda جنى أبو وردة from Al-Fawwar, Hebron, was arrested on 12 February 2026. A visit with lawyer Hassan Abbadi had been scheduled for 26 May 2026, but it did not take place because of a court hearing that was postponed and ended up coinciding with the visiting hour. When the visit finally happened, she talked about her arrest, about the conditions in Damon prison, and sent messages to her family and to her cellmates' families through the lawyer. Freedom for Jana Abu Warda and for all Palestinian prisoners!
Palestinian Prisoners' Society: The number of documented prisoner deaths since the beginning of the genocide has risen to 91, following the death of detainee Ihab Diab, whose fate was concealed by the "israeli" occupation before it acknowledged his martyrdom in September 2024. This brings the total number of prisoner deaths since 1967 to 328. The occupation continues to withhold 99 bodies from both before and after the start of the genocide, while the fate of dozens of detainees from Gaza remains unknown.
On this day we commemorate the memory of the great young leader and martyr, Ibrahim Al-Nabulsi, the Lion of Nablus. Nabulsi was martyred at the young age of 19, on August 9, 2022. The grief his martyrdom caused was felt not just by his family and comrades, but across Palestine and indeed across the world. Join Films4Falastin for our 6th (!) monthly movie fundraiser on August 25, 6pm at Cherry Street Village. We will be watching “33 Days” by Mai Masri, a film about the 2006 zionist invasion of Lebanon. It follows the stories of 4 people, a theatre director from Beirut, an aid worker responsible for coordinating emergency relief efforts, a journalist working for an underground TV station, and a mother with her newborn baby. Through their stories, Masri sheds light on the war’s impact on the people of Lebanon. Watching this is timely, as it is the 20 year anniversary of the violent July War and today, the zionist imperial aggression in Lebanon is worsening. As with all our events, this is a fundraiser for mutual aid in Lebanon. We encourage attendees to bring cash to purchase food and other items as well as an entry fee of $10+. We will also have political discussion after the film. Bring friends and family, RSVP here: tinyurl.com/rsvp33days

🔻🇵🇸 In recent days, reports and rumors have multiplied regarding Trump's alleged "announcement on the handover of weapons belonging to Hamas and resistance organizations." Given the numerous inquiries we have received on this matter, Masar Badil – Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement – feels it necessary to reaffirm the following: 🗣The weapons of the Palestinian resistance are not a matter for negotiation, a bargaining chip, or an issue that can be decided by the israeli regime, the US administration, or any other party. They are the exclusive property of the Palestinian people, who have sacrificed hundreds of thousands of martyrs, wounded, and prisoners in defense of their land and their national rights, and only the Palestinian people have the authority to decide their future. This is a position shared by all Palestinian resistance forces, without exception. 🗣From Masar Badil, we reiterate our full confidence in the Palestinian resistance, led by the Martyr Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades and all the resistance's military formations, as well as in their capacity to protect these weapons, which constitute a national and historical responsibility. 🗣 The resistance's weapons will remain a legitimate instrument of national liberation as long as the occupation of Palestine continues and until the Palestinian people fully achieve their national rights, first and foremost liberation, return, and self-determination. ✒️👇*Full statement* https://masarbadil.org/en/2026/08/8391/
