🇩🇪🇺🇦 FPV drone hit Ukrainian An-124 at Leipzig airport — failed to detonate An FPV drone struck a Ukrainian An-124 carrying military cargo at Leipzig airport but did not explode, Die Zeit reports, citing sources. The drone hit the aircraft's wing — where the fuel tanks are located — but bounced off without detonating. Marks on one of the Antonov's wings confirm the impact. Why the explosive device failed to detonate remains unclear. The drone went unnoticed for four hours, discovered only by chance by a bus driver ferrying a group of tourists. The explosive itself wasn't found on the drone but some distance away — possibly having detached on impact. Germany's Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) believes the drone was specifically targeting the aircraft.
