The hadith narrated by Aws ibn Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) is a reminder to increase our prayers upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on Fridays. He said: “Indeed, one of the best of your days is Friday, so increase your prayers upon me on it, for your prayers are presented to me.” Narrated by Abu Dawood with a sound chain of narration. This hadith emphasizes the virtue of Friday and the importance of frequently sending blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ on this day, as it carries great reward and merit.
اللهم إنا نسألك من خير ما سألك به نبيك محمد ﷺ oh Allāh we ask for the good that Your prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for ونستعيذ بك من شر ما استعاذ به نبيك محمد ﷺ and we seek refuge in You from the evil that Your prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) sought refuge from
One of the greatest explanation of this Du'aa that has reached us from the Salaf is: الْحَسَنَةُ فِي الدُّنْيَا: الْعِلْمُ وَالْعِبَادَةُ، وَالْحَسَنَةُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ: الْجَنَّةُ. “The good of this world (الْحَسَنَةُ فِي الدُّنْيَا) is knowledge and worship. And the good of the Hereafter (الْحَسَنَةُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ) is Paradise.” Jami' Bayan al-Ilm wa Fadlih li-Ibn 'Abd al-Barr (253)

لا تمل من التوبة حتى وإن تكرر الذنب أليس كلما اتسخ ثوبك غسلتة؟ كذلك كلما أذنبت استغفر ربك Don't become weary of making tawbah - even if the sin is repetitive. Do you not wash your clothes every time they get stained? In the same way, seek forgiveness from your Lord every time you sin
Memorise daily, even if it’s just one line!
And you think you are not being punished because of your sins? You have been deprived of the night prayer, even though you stayed awake late into the night. You have been deprived of your daily portion of Qur'an recitation, even though you have plenty of free time. You have been deprived of the Sunnah prayers before and after the obligatory prayers, even though you are healthy and full of strength. Your tongue becomes silent when it is time to remember Allah, even though you are an eloquent speaker. Your heart is gradually becoming sealed, little by little, and you are not even aware of it. And you think you are not being punished simply because you have not been tested with worldly hardships. Is there any greater trial than for a person to be deprived of closeness to and connection with Allah, their Lord?
The shari’ah came to negate hardship But that does not mean it eliminates any difficulty Shaykh mentions the rulings of the shari’ah don’t have a complete lack of hardship. There is no doubt that acts like jihad have difficulty, commanding the good has difficulty, salah has difficulty This is a beautiful benefit - the deen isn’t meant to be completely easy for you. Does anything worth having come easy?

Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-‘Uthaymeen رحمه الله said: Always try to have a positive outlook and remain hopeful. Whatever Allah wills will happen. Be cheerful and happy, because the world ahead of you is vast, the path is open, and there is always reason to remain hopeful. Keep your heart open and positive, because this is what is good for you. — Sharh Riyad al-Salihin, 4/87
Imam al-Shafi‘i رحمه الله was asked: “How does having سوء الظن (bad thoughts) about ALLAH ﷻ happen?” He replied: Being constantly troubled by whispers, always fearing that a calamity may come, and continuously worrying that a blessing may be taken away — all of these are forms of having سوء الظن (bad thoughts) about ALLAH ﷻ, the Most Merciful. — Hilyat al-Awliya, Vol. 9, p. 123
