We recite it seventeen times a day. And yet - how often do we truly hear it? Sūrah al-Fātiḥah is the opening of the Qurʾān and the pillar of every ṣalāh. It is the first thing a child is taught and the last thing many recall on their deathbed. Its words are so familiar they have become, for many of us, something we pass through rather than pause at. This tafsīr is an invitation to pause.
