Jolani’s militia made an incursion into Lebanon’s Bekaa region where they were confronted and repelled by local tribes, who kill e at least three before forcing them to retreat. The coup administration then blamed Hezbollah and fired rockets at what it erroneously described as “Hezbollah positions” that were in fact Lebanese villages. Now footage appears to show Jolani militia driving to the border in a show of force. But woe betide them if Hezbollah does get involved. They won’t be fighting local villagers anymore but serious fighters. This comes after Israeli airstrikes in the same border region. It is as clear as day that Jolani and Israel are working in tandem. HTS seems to have plenty of rockets to strike Lebanese villagers but none for the Israeli forces occupying southern Syria.

BREAKING: Israeli jets just broke the sound barrier with two loud blasts heard over the Lebanese capital Beirut, the first time I’ve heard them since the ceasefire in November. Similar blasts were also heard in Bekaa in the east. It comes as Israel is reportedly demanding the ceasefire is extended again until February 28th and will continue its occupation of a number of settlements in the south of the county. The blasts are clearly part of its psychological war against the Lebanese people and a warning to the government to agree to the extension of the ceasefire, something it has said is out of the question.

The three journalists martyred in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon arrive in Beirut as a drone hovers overhead. Ghassan Najjar and engineer Mohamed Reda who worked for Al Mayadeen and Al-Manar TV camera operator Wissam Qassim were killed in what has been described as a targeted attack as they slept. It comes days after Israel labeled the last six journalists in northern Gaza “terrorists” saying without evidence they are members of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, effectively a smokescreen for their assassination. Al Mayadeen chief Ghassan Ben Jeddou says the strike was deliberate. A war crime. "The Israeli occupation takes pleasure in killing, and among those it targets are journalists who expose its criminality, so it hates them sadistically,” he said.
