Liturgy (us), Rană black metal: transcendentral, experimental, neocrust… Liturgy is the project of Haela Ravenna Hunt-Hendrix, whose yearning, energetic “transcendental black metal” exists in the space between metal, experimental, classical music and sacred ritual. The band is simultaneously a platform for fine art and theology. Celebrated for their fusion of sincere emotion, compositional complexity, stylistic daring and intense live energy, the band is simultaneously a medium and platform for drama and theology. Liturgy was founded as a solo project by Hunt-Hendrix in 2005 and has since evolved into a quartet. After a solo show last year on Stubnitz Liturgy will return this year as a full band. The German-based band Rană has been known since 2019 for their emotionally gripping live performances. Fliehende Stürme taucht dabei ausschließlich in Verbindung mit anderen Bandnamen auf, denn keine andere Band klingt derzeit so, und selbst eine Coverband hätte es schwer nach der Transformation, die irgendwann in den frühen 80ern von CHAOS Z zu FLIEHENDE STÜRME stattfand, diesen Sound aus seinen einzelnen Bestandteilen nachzubauen. LEFT FOR PLEASURE aus Halle verbindet EBM-Beats mit melancholischem Darkwave und schafft eine einzigartige musikalische Reise.
