🖍Something to acknowledge and be conscious of if the eclipse is sighted today This eclipse that occurs by the will of Allah is for a reason, which is to frighten His servants, alert them against heedlessness, and remind them of Allah's great power over them. The one who takes the light of the sun and changes what people are accustomed to, and takes the light of the moon and changes what people are accustomed to, is able to take from His servant whatever He wills, whenever He wills, glory be to Him. عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‌‏"‌‏إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى لاَ يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلاَ لِحَيَاتِهِ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يُخَوِّفُ بِهِمَا عِبَادَهُ" (صحيح البخاري) It was narrated that Abu Bakrah said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'The sun and moon are two signs of Allah, the Most High, and they do not become eclipsed for death or birth of anyone, rather Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, strikes fear into His slaves through them.'" (Bukhari) So what is prescribed for the believer, when he sees an eclipse, is to abandon his distractions, show his fear, and turn to the remembrance of Allah. From that which deeply saddens the heart is we find us being in a time where hearts have hardened, we find some Muslims who see the sign by which Allah frightens His servants, but they do not abandon their distractions or show their fear. Rather, in Allah we seek refuge, they may persist in sin, listening to music and watching tv series etc. Although the sign of the eclipse appears in the sky, it does not reach his heart. This in reality has eclipsed his heart. The light which is the guidance of the lesson to be taken from these signs has been blocked from his heart. We seek refuge in Allah from heedlessness. So the believer, when he sees an eclipse is to abandon distractions, show fear, and devote himself to the remembrance of Allah. Sheikh Muhammed ibn Sālih Al-Uthaymeen رحمه الله mentioned there are seven things that the Prophet (peace be upon him) commanded during an eclipse, all of which are confirmed in Sahih Bukhari:  ➊ Prayer  ➋ Supplication  ➌ Seeking forgiveness  ➍ Takbir (saying Allahu Akbar)  ➎ Remembrance (of Allah)  ➏ Charity  ➐ Freeing a slave. ✍Abu Anas وفقه الله https://t.me/tasheelalilm

Update: Apologies for the break without announcement. I have been in a situation and still currently am, where finding time and a place to teach was not applicable. But due to the students request and seeing the dedication of the students and their notes for these classes, I have tried finding a way to still do the classes. So for now (until the situation is resolved إن شاء الله to go back to the normal timetable) the timetable will be the following; 📚Monday: A'laam As-Sunnah 10pm UK timing. 📚Thursday: Zaad Al-Mustaqni' 10pm UK timing. 📚Wednesday at End of each Month: Arba'een An-Nawawiyyah 10pm UK timing. 🖍There are 2 types of people in their reaction to the heatwave and scorching heat: 1⃣The heedless, who see the heat merely as a rise in temperature—a matter requiring only protective measures or a way to escape its effects by any means necessary. Some go so far in their heedlessness as to curse the heat and weather. These individuals view the intense heat as nothing more than natural weather fluctuations, remaining heedless of the Creator behind them. 2⃣The intelligent believer—who believes in Allah as the Creator of the universe and the Disposer of all its affairs. He understands that this intense heat occur by the power and decree of Allah. He realizes that within this scorching heat is a sign from the signs of Allah and in it lie lessons that is upon him to ponder and act upon. ✨Ponder Abd Allah, on the greatness of Allah!  When the heat intensifies and the sun blazes down upon us, who can alter the situation? Who possesses the power to command the heat to depart or to return to its normal state? Do any human or creation have capability in this? Is there any force that could avert or lift it against the will of the All-Powerful? Rather It is in the power of Allah alone. ✨Ponder Abd Allah, on the mercy of our Lord! If Allah willed for this extreme heat to persist for weeks or months, or years or even eternity, could he not? Could our creation not begin in the scorching heat until eternity? Is Allah not capable? But Allah is all Merciful and Just. ✨Ponder Abd Allah, on your purpose in this life and final abode. For the heat is a reminder of the Hellfire and it's severity! As recorded in Saheehayn, the Prophet ﷺ said, "In very hot weather delay the Zuhr prayer till it becomes (a bit) cooler because the severity of heat is from the raging of the Hell-fire. The Hell-fire of Hell complained to its Lord saying: O Lord! My parts are eating (destroying) one another. So Allah allowed it to take two breaths, one in the winter and the other in the summer. The breath in the summer is at the time when you feel the severest heat and the breath in the winter is at the time when you feel the severest cold." So, the most intense heat you experience comes from the scorching breath of Hell, and the most intense cold you experience comes from the freezing chill of Hell. Contemplate, If you cannot withstand the mild heat of this world, how could you possibly endure the heat of the Hereafter? That heat is incomparable; No matter how intense the heat becomes here, it cannot be compared to even the least severe levels of heat of the Hellfire. As recorded in Saheehayn, the Prophet ﷺ said "The least tortured among the dwellers of Hellfire is a person who has two shoes and two shoelaces made of fire that will cause his brain to boil as a boiling cauldron. He thinks that none is more severely tortured than him, although he is the least tortured among them" ✨Let this be a lesson in such circumstances to be a reminder to hasten toward obedience and avoid negligence. Allah says in At-Taubah 9:81 فَرِحَ ٱلۡمُخَلَّفُونَ بِمَقۡعَدِهِمۡ خِلَٰفَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ وَكَرِهُوٓاْ أَن يُجَٰهِدُواْ بِأَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ وَأَنفُسِهِمۡ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَقَالُواْ لَا تَنفِرُواْ فِي ٱلۡحَرِّۗ قُلۡ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَ أَشَدُّ حَرࣰّاۚ لَّوۡ كَانُواْ يَفۡقَهُونَ Those who remained behind rejoiced in their staying [at home] after [the departure of] the Messenger of Allāh and disliked to strive with their wealth and their lives in the cause of Allāh and said, "Do not go forth in the heat." Say, "The fire of Hell is more intense in heat" - if they would but understand. By Allah, not one of us can endure the heat of the worldly sun; how, then, will one endure the heat of the sun of the Hereafter and the scorching flames of Hell? Hasten, therefore, to obey the Lord of this world and the Hereafter, so that He may protect you from the blazing heat, and shelter you under His shade on the Day when there is no shade but his. ✍Abu Anas وفقه الله https://t.me/tasheelalilm
