Tropical Furry Islands - Announcements

Hey everyone, we’re reaching out with an important update about Tropical Furry Islands. After five years at Tropical Islands, the 2025 edition will have been our last event at this location. This was not an easy decision, and it took time to get to this point and to communicate it properly. The reason for this is an ongoing dispute with the venue management that makes any future collaboration or future business relationships impossible for us. To be clear, this is not on you! The community has consistently been one of the strongest parts of TFI. The atmosphere, the energy, and the way people come together each year is what made the event special in the first place. Local staff loved our presence and we brought joy to this venue. Looking back, TFI has gone through a lot of change. We have seen years where the event grew quickly, and others where we had to scale things back. We experimented with concepts, schedules, and ideas. Some worked well and became part of the core, others did not last. That process was always part of shaping TFI into what it is today. And what drives us forward in putting our heart and soul into this. Through all of that, one thing stayed consistent: People showed up, contributed, and made the event what it was. That is something we do not take for granted. We know how much "self organized" the Event was, yet this also benefited the charme of everything. What to expect: There will be no TFI in 2026! The focus now is on finding a new location that fits the event and allows it to continue in a sustainable, familiar way. This is not something we want to rush! Choosing the wrong location would do more harm than taking the time to get it right. Because of that, you can expect things to be quieter for a while. There will likely be little to no updates over the summer while we evaluate options and plan the next steps. Once we have something concrete to share, we will communicate it. TFI is not over! This is a transition, not an ending. The goal is to return with a setup that works better long term and allows the event to continue evolving. Hey dear ones, we know that the silence spoke louder than we ever intended it to - and for that, we truly owe you an explanation. Since our last episode, we have been involved in ongoing negotiations regarding the conclusion of the previous convention as well as discussions about potential dates and conditions for 2026. Unfortunately, these talks have proven to be far more complex and drawn-out than anticipated. Communication has been slow, important aspects have taken a long time to clarify, and several unresolved points have made it difficult for us to plan responsibly and sustainably. We do have a potential timeframe for 2026 prepared, and we’ve had it in mind for quite some time. However, due to the ongoing nature of these negotiations, we consciously chose not to announce anything prematurely. The last thing we wanted was to put you in a position where you might plan vacations, travel, or commitments based on information we could not yet stand behind with certainty. As things stand right now, whether and how TFI will take place in 2026 can only be answered with a cautious maybe. We know this is not the clarity you were hoping for, and it’s not the situation we wanted to be in either. Please know that this decision comes from a place of responsibility, not distance. We care deeply about this project, its future, and most importantly about all of you. As soon as we are in a position to share concrete and reliable news, you will hear it from us first. Thank you for your patience, your trust, and for standing by us - even during uncertain and quieter times. ❤️. Seeing so many of you loving this event and speaking out about it really means a lot to us.

This year's group photo is made up of three different pictures. Because of the unexpected situation at the dome and the resulting move to an alternative location, we were only able to capture everyone in one of the first two pictures. The third picture is the open group shot for everyone. A big thank you to @SquashTFC for beeing our backup photographer, @Lonyee_Wusky for providing his camera gear and our amazing stewards for guiding the group in and out so efficiently.

A few lost and found items are still in front of Conops. If they are not picked up they will be handed over to TIs own lost and found which can be reached under https://lost.faundit.com/de/tropical-islands-berlin

A small reminder that our Resort has 2 trash collection spots at the beginning and end of the main road. Also don't throw your cans and bottles into the general waste, as there can be Pfand on them. Collect them in a separate bag and you might make someone's day. Houses don't need to be spotless, a general tidiness is appreciated!

This is the announcement I hate to make the most :( Since we have some peeps leaving already: Your Chip bands can be returned INSIDE the Dome at the main Reception or at the Ohana Reception. Make sure to pay off your outstanding balance first at one of the Cash Machines. Checkout is tomorrow at 10AM, which means your Bands will not work on the house afterwards. However, your Band will retain its validation to enter and enjoy the Dome up until Sunday midnight!

Oh no, it's Saturday... :( 🌴 Here is today's Event(s) Kalynx' Cats and Boxes @ 16:00 in Antigua (Dome) Calling all Kittens and Felines for this one! There are some boxes to destroy and Cucumbers to be scared about. This Cat meet and greet is for you. --- The weather looks to be a bit more chilly today, but the sun makes up for it. Hate to say this, but let's make this a very memorable final full day here at TFI ✨.

One of the security guards from TI helping us with the group photo is currently giving us a visit at Con-Ops and he wants photos with us! So if any suiters are still around and willing to come by please do!
