The “An Act of Goodness, A Better World for All” project, jointly organised by Shin Min Daily News and Tzu-Chi Foundation (Singapore), with the support of SongHe, is about to launch! Some may ask: Why do bad news always make the headlines, leaving us with little hope? Now, you have a chance to be part of the change. From 2 September to 10 October, every Wednesday and Saturday, 12 stories of inspiring people and good deeds will make the front page of Shin Min Daily News. We invite you to discover the kind souls and good deeds in your community and help us spread the ripple of goodness together. • #News GLOW Expands Active Ageing Services, Fostering Intergenerational Connections It takes a whole community — not just families — to support ageing well. Learning to care for oneself and discovering one's sense of purpose are key to living a fulfilling and meaningful later life. Tzu-Chi Foundation (Singapore)'s second GLOW (Go! Live Outrageously Well) Active Ageing Centre has officially opened. Located in Bukit Batok, GLOW offers a different approach from conventional Active Ageing Centres. Through small-group fitness and art classes, as well as a shared space designed for people of all ages, it encourages intergenerational interaction and helps seniors build stronger connections with their families and the wider community. 🔗 youtu.be/Kg3fEkmT_tE @tzuchisg_en 👉 Support our charitable causes

  • #News Tzu-Chi Foundation (Singapore) is honoured to receive the Catalyst Award at the Digital for Life (DfL) Partners Appreciation event on 17 July 2026, organised by IMDA. This recognition reflects the collective efforts of our partners, volunteers, and staff who have worked alongside us to advance digital inclusion. Through collaborations and organising of the DfL Learn Digital Workshops, we have helped beneficiaries and volunteers build the skills and confidence to navigate an increasingly digital world. While we are grateful for this recognition, we see it as an encouragement to do more. As technology continues to evolve, so too must our efforts to strengthen digital literacy and cyber awareness across the community. We look forward to deepening our collaboration with IMDA and like-minded partners to create more opportunities for lifelong learning and digital inclusion. • #News Parent-Child Para Sports Challenge: "It's Much Harder Than We Imagined!" At the age of seven, Caleb Lee lost the full use of the muscles on one side of his body after an accident. But he refused to let that define his life. He took up table tennis at 11, trained tirelessly over the years, and went on to win a silver medal at the Asian Youth Para Games.  At the Parent-Child Sports Day, jointly organised by Tzu Chi's Parent-Child Bonding Class and the Tzu Chi Teenagers' Group, Caleb shared how he overcame physical limitations and pursued his dreams with courage.  🔗 youtu.be/lT2Xi5UjKtw @tzuchisg_en 👉 Support our charitable causes

  • #News Intentional Rest: Reclaiming Your Mind and Body Well-Being💚 In today's fast-paced world, packed schedules often leave little room for genuine rest. While scrolling through our phones or watching short videos may feel relaxing, our brains are still processing a constant stream of information.  According to American physician Dr Saundra Dalton-Smith, who introduced the Seven Types of Rest framework, sleep alone isn't enough to overcome fatigue.  To encourage people to embrace Intentional Rest, Tzu-Chi Foundation (Singapore) hosted the second edition of SYNC. Festival, inviting the public to discover different ways to rest, prioritise self-care, and recognise that rest is not a luxury, but an essential part of living well.  🔗 youtu.be/jv3EWl_4lSA @tzuchisg_en 👉 Support our charitable causes
