What is Analogue Paneer? Here's what you should know. Not everything that looks like paneer is actually made from milk. Analogue paneer is a paneer-like product that is often made using vegetable oil, starch, emulsifiers, and sometimes milk solids or plant proteins, instead of fresh milk. It is designed to look and taste similar to real paneer but costs much less to produce. Why is it used? ✔️ Cheaper to manufacture ✔️ Longer shelf life ✔️ Commonly used by some restaurants, caterers, and processed food manufacturers Is it unhealthy? Not necessarily. If it is made according to food safety standards, it is generally safe to consume. However, it is not nutritionally the same as real paneer. It may contain less protein and more refined fats or starch. How can you identify it? Always check the ingredient list. Genuine paneer is primarily made from milk and a coagulant. If the first ingredients include vegetable oil, starch, or emulsifiers, you're likely buying analogue paneer. 👉 As a consumer, reading food labels is one of the simplest ways to make informed choices. #FoodAwareness #Paneer #HealthyEating #Nutrition #FoodLabels #ConsumerAwareness
