Where are you from? ( Откуда вы)
🎙Russian phrase of the day. У меня наличные. Literally: "I have cash." Meaning: "I'm paying in cash." 👉Examples: — Карта или наличные? — У меня наличные. — Вы будете платить картой? — Нет, у меня наличные. 💡 Russian learners often say: ❌ Я плачу наличными. It's correct, but native speakers very often simply say: ✅ У меня наличные. If you'd like to learn the full dialogue from today's post at the shop, click here. #Russian_vocabulary #russianonline

❌ Do you still guess the gender of Russian nouns? Many students try to memorise every noun separately: комната — feminine музей — masculine море — neuter But that’s exhausting. The good news? In most cases, you don’t need to memorise the gender at all. You just need to look at the ending. ✔️ Consonant, -й → masculine ✔️ -а, -я, -ия → feminine ✔️ -о, -е, -ие, -мя → neuter 😵💫 Why is this so important? Because gender affects almost everything in Russian: • adjectives • pronouns • verbs • numbers If you don’t know the gender, it’s very difficult to build correct sentences. 🎥 I’ve just published a video where I explain noun gender step by step with examples for beginners. 📄 I also prepared a printable cheat sheet with endings and 2 practice exercises (answers included). Perfect if you’re learning Russian on your own and want a quick reference while studying. 🔖Save this post — you’ll need it more than once. #learnrussian #russiangrammar #russianlangua
