Good day, everyone! We, the NU AIChE Student Chapter, are thrilled to announce our collaboration with INESS 2026—an international conference on Nanomaterials and Energy Storage, which will take place on August 5–7 at Nazarbayev University. Specifically, we are organizing a parallel Student Track featuring Oral Presentations, Panel Discussions, and Poster Sessions. This is an outstanding opportunity for young and aspiring researchers in this field to showcase their achievements, share their progress, and network with like-minded peers and professionals! He is also a distinguished adjunct professor at East China University of Science and Technology and a distinguished research professor at Széchenyi István University in Hungary. 🔈 NU AIChE SC: The Year in Review This year AIChe has been as active as ever, trying our best to introduce you to the bright world of chemical engineering, throwing soap workshops and guest lectures, field trips and welcoming sessions, and much more. Join us in reminiscing about this great year! 🥼 Intro to Chemical Engineering — An informative welcoming session aimed to introduce the first year students to chemical engineering. 🫧 Soap workshop — A hands-on workshop that allowed the students to create their own soaps, uniting handiwork, chemical reactions and fun. 🏭 Field Trip to Gormolzavod — A field trip to the local dairy processing plant Gormolzavod that allowed the students to witness first-hand the industrial chemical processes. 🧩 Avatar: The First Engbender — A week-long event inspired by the Avatar: The Last Airbender, filled with engaging activities and exciting games, which culminated in a themed trivia quiz where the four bending elements were creatively associated with the four engineering disciplines within our SEDS department. 🫖 Tea with Professor Shah — Warm talks encapsulating everything from academics to life stories with Professor Shah, a beloved mentor of our club. 🏫 Guest Talk by Professor Dmitry Yu. Murzin — A guest lecture by Professor Murzin from Abo Academi University, a leading expert in chemical technology, catalysis and industry, where he presented the Erasmus-Mundus program IMATEC for our students. 🧪 2nd Annual Reacthon — A 24-hour chemical engineering competition filled with exciting and mind-boggling cases from sponsor companies, that allowed the students to showcase their chemical engineering expertise and problem-solving skills. 🏎🥉Moreover, this summer AIChE NU SC Research Team secured third position in the Chem-E-Car competition at NAIMISHYA- AIChE Indian Student Regional Conference 2025! Іс-шара инженерлік мамандықтардың студенттерін біріктірді, олар командалық форматта нақты өндірістік міндеттерді шешіп, инновациялық техникалық шешімдерді ұсынды. ✔️Сайыс аясында KMG PetroChem компаниясы қатысушыларға жоғары температура жағдайында жабдықтың тиімділігін арттыруға бағытталған «Жазғы уақытта салқындату мәселесі» инженерлік кейсін шешуді ұсынды. Мероприятие объединило студентов инженерных специальностей, которые в командном формате решали реальные производственные задачи и предлагали инновационные технические решения. ✔️В рамках хакатона компания KMG PetroChem предложила участникам для решения инженерный кейс «Проблема охлаждения в летнее время», направленный на повышение эффективности работы оборудования в условиях высоких температур. Кроме того, специалисты KMG PetroChem вошли в состав жюри мероприятия. Экспертную оценку проектов студентов от компании провёл Аубакиров Самир, ведущий инженер-технолог Газосепарационного комплекса. По итогам защиты проектов призовые места распределились следующим образом: 🥇1 место — команда, предложившая комплексное решение по установке ветрозащитного щита для аппаратов воздушного охлаждения, позволяющее повысить эффективность теплообмена. 🥈2 место — команда, представившая решение по регулировке углов атаки вентиляторов, улучшающее аэродинамику и снижающее энергозатраты. 🥉3 место — команда, предложившая экологичные методы повышения производительности с акцентом на снижение воздействия на окружающую среду. Все призёры получили памятный мерч от компании. 💡Кроме этого студенты представили дополнительные идеи, включая локальное снижение температуры за счёт радиационного экранирования материалами с высокой отражательной способностью, а также классические решения с применением орошения теплообменников. Все участники хакатона продемонстрировали высокий уровень подготовки, глубокое понимание инженерных процессов и нестандартный подход к решению прикладных задач. Подобные мероприятия способствуют развитию инженерного мышления у молодых специалистов и формированию кадрового потенциала нефтегазохимической отрасли, поэтому компания планирует продолжать участие в хакатоне и в дальнейшем. 💧 KMG PetroChem
