Benfits From Salaf

وَكَم يُسرٍ أَتى مِن بَعدِ عُسرٍ ... فَفَرَّجَ كُرْبَة القَلْبِ الشَجيِّ How many times has ease followed hardship, lifting the grief from a heavy, sorrowful heart? وَكَم أَمرٍ تُساءُ بِهِ صَباحًا ... وَتَأتيكَ المَسَرَّةُ بِالعَشيِّ How many matters distress you in the morning, yet bring you joy by the falling of the night? إِذا ضاقَت بِكَ الأَحوالُ يَومًا ... فَثِق بِالواحِدِ الفَردِ العَلِيِّ If circumstances ever press tightly upon you, place your trust in the One, the Singular, the Most High. وَلا تَجزَع إِذا ما نابَ خَطبٌ ... فَكَم لِلّهِ مِن لُطفٍ خَفيِّ And do not despair when adversity strikes, For Allah’s subtle grace works in ways you cannot see. ‏

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: “ALLAH ﷻ has guaranteed a good life for everyone who does good deeds, and He is true to His promise and does not break His promise.” - الداء والدواء، ص 437

إذا أحببتَ المالَ فلا تنسَ الحساب وإذا أحببتَ القصورَ فلا تنسَ القبور وإذا أحببتَ الخلقَ فلا تنسَ الخالق Some of the wise people said: If you love wealth, then do not forget the Reckoning. If you love palaces, then do not forget the graves. If you love the creation, then do not forget the Creator. These are words that remind us of the reality of this world. There is no harm in a person possessing wealth, or living in a large house, or loving his family and his companions. But the mistake is that these things distract him from Allah and from the Home of the Hereafter. For every blessing in this world, the servant will be questioned about it. And every person will leave this world for his grave, and nothing will remain with him except his righteous deeds. Keep this world in your hands, and do not keep it in your heart. Make the love of Allah greater than every other love. For by doing so, you will attain happiness in this world and in the Hereafter

A'ta رحمه الله said : "If you are able to seclude yourself on the afternoon of the day of a'rafa ,then do so." (Az Zahd imam ahmad 2221)

بُغيَةُ الرَّجاء فِي جوامِع الدُّعاء. د. هَيَا بِنت سَلمان الصُّباح وفَّقها الله.

Shaykh ibn Baz رحمه الله: "A sin committed during the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah is more severe and greater in magnitude than a sin committed in Rajab or Sha'baan."

وإن العبد لياتي يوم القيامة بحسنات أمثال الجبال، فيجد لسانه قد هدمها عليه كلها؛ ويأتي بسيئات أمثال الجبال، فيجد لسانه قد هدمها من كثرة ذكر الله وما اتصل به. “A servant may come on the Day of Resurrection with good deeds as عظیم as mountains, but finds that his tongue has destroyed them all. And he may come with sins as great as mountains, yet finds that his tongue has demolished them—due to abundant remembrance of Allah and what is connected to it.” —الداء والدواء

‏اذكروا من تُحبَّون من الأحياء والأموات بصالح الدَّعوات. “Remember those you love—both the living and the dead—with sincere/good prayers.” - صالح العصيمي

"Ramadan is departing, so let your deeds of righteousness remain in the record of its days, to comfort you in your grave, secure you on the Day of Gathering, help you cross the Sirat, and lead you into Jannah, as a grace and favor from Allah." - Sheikh Saleh al usaymee

كم مرةٍ عسُرَت وضاقَ زِمامُها فإذا من الرحمنِ يأتي المخرجُ؟

قال الحافظ ابن رجب رحمه الله: «واعلم أن المؤمن يجتمع له في شهر رمضان جهادان لنفسه: 1- جهادٌ بالنهار على الصيام، 2- وجهادٌ بالليل على القيام. فمن جمع بين هذين الجهادين، ووفّى بحقوقهما، وصبر عليهما، وُفِّيَ أجره بغير حساب». Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali said: “Know that in the month of Ramadan, the believer undertakes two struggles against the self: A struggle during the day through fasting, And a struggle during the night through standing in prayer. Whoever combines these two struggles, fulfills their rights, and remains patient upon them, will be given his reward without measure.”

One of the Salaf said: ‏«ما أدَمت الدُّعاء في رَمضان على أمرٍ ‏إلا وتَجلّى ظاهرًا في شوال» “I never persisted in supplication during Ramadan for a matter except that it became manifest (was clearly answered) in Shawwal.”

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : الصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ ، فَلَا يَرْفُثْ ، وَلَا يَجْهَلْ ، وَإِنِ امْرُؤٌ قَاتَلَهُ أَوْ شَاتَمَهُ ، فَلْيَقُلْ : إِنِّي صَائِمٌ مَرَّتَيْنِ ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ ، يَتْرُكُ طَعَامَهُ ، وَشَرَابَهُ ، وَشَهْوَتَهُ مِنْ أَجْلِي الصِّيَامُ لِي ، وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ وَالْحَسَنَةُ بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا (صحيح بخاري ١٨٩٤) “Fasting is a shield. So when one of you is fasting, he should not speak indecently or act ignorantly. If someone fights him or insults him, he should say, ‘I am fasting,’ twice. By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, the smell from the mouth of a fasting person is better to Allah than the fragrance of musk.(Allah says about the fasting person) He leaves his food, his drink, and his desires for My sake. Fasting is for Me, and I will reward it. And every good deed is rewarded ten times its like.”

«عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: كان النبي ﷺ يبشر أصحابه يقول: On the authority of Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Prophet ﷺ used to give his companions glad tidings, saying: قد جاءكم شهر رمضان، شهرٌ مبارك The month of Ramadan has come to you — a blessed month. كتب الله عليكم صيامه، فيه تُفتَح أبواب الجنان، وتُغلَق فيه أبواب الجحيم، Allah has made fasting it obligatory upon you. In it, the gates of Paradise are opened, and the gates of Hell are closed. وتُغلُّ فيه الشياطين، فيه ليلةٌ خيرٌ من ألف شهر، من حُرم خيرها فقد حُرم In it, the devils are chained. In it is a night better than a thousand months; whoever is deprived of its goodness has truly been deprived. قال بعض العلماء: هذا الحديث أصل في تهنئة الناس بعضهم بعضًا بشهر رمضان. Some scholars said: This hadith is a basis for people congratulating one another upon the arrival of the month of Ramadan.
