Substantive peace talks based on the agreed MoU remained a remote and essentially unattainable goal, for the simple reason that the imperialists are not in a position to accept their defeat and walk away. And, while Iran’s leaders are no doubt able to agree to one or two face-saving gestures and some diplomatic phraseology, the essence of any deal will be that it is laying out the terms of imperialist surrender. As with Nato’s proxy war against Russia in Ukraine, the imperialist bloc is doing everything possible to keep the war front burning, albeit at a reduced pace that their depleted arsenals can maintain, in the hopes that multi-front, hybrid warfare will eventually succeed in wearing down and destroying the targeted nations, whom direct military confrontation has so far failed to beat. True to their “agreement-incapable” form, having signed the MoU on 17 June, the imperialists began breaching its terms almost immediately – and the Iranians for their part have shown themselves vigilant and capable of returning blow for blow, clearly bedding themselves in for a long war of attrition. There is every reason to expect that the resistance forces, who have been preparing for decades, knowing well that this confrontation would ultimately be forced on them, will in the end prevail. The current manipulations going on in Ireland involving anti immigration 'republicans' and loyalist mobs rioting in the occupied six counties show that the British state has no intention of leaving. The characters who run the military and intelligence services are absolutely fanatical about the continued British occupation of the six counties and will use all manner of manipulations to continue the occupation. This includes triggering disorder in both the south and north.

It's been a long time since I've been single and things have changed dramatically. It feels like everything is based around apps and texts. You can be talking to someone great one evening and wake up blocked. The superficial nature of it all doesn't sit well with me either. Especially at my age where beauty is no longer a driving factor like it was in my 20s. Modern 'dating' (as opposed to old courting) proves the pervasiveness of capitalism and how it commidifies everything. Once upon a time it was only in the presents you bought, now you have to pay a subscription to see who apparently 'likes' you. UEFA's criticism of FIFA's relentless profiteering and corruption is entirely justified. However, it is difficult to believe that clubs and national associations are merely innocent bystanders. At the highest level, elite football clubs are businesses run for profit, while national teams have become vehicles for enormous commercial sponsorships, advertising campaigns and global branding. FIFA may be the most visible expression of football's corruption, but it did not emerge in a vacuum. It exists within the same capitalist system that drives every major institution in the modern game. To portray FIFA as uniquely corrupt while presenting everyone else as blameless is to misunderstand how capitalism operates. Profit is not an unfortunate by-product of elite football.
