Hadith of the Day

Abu Dharr (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: "Your smiling in the face of your brother is charity, commanding good and forbidding evil is charity, your giving directions to a man lost in the land is charity for you. Your seeing for a man with bad sight is a charity for you, your removal of a rock, a thorn or a bone from the road is charity for you. Your pouring what remains from your bucket into the bucket of your brother is charity for you." (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1956, Vol. 4, Book 1, Hadith 1956)

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Two are the expressions which are light on the tongue, but heavy in scale, dear to the Compassionate One:" Exalted is Allah (He is free from imperfection) and all praise is due to Him"; "Exalted is Allah (He is free from imperfection), the Great." (Sahih Muslim 2694, Book 48, Hadith 41)

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The nearest a servant comes to his Lord is when he is prostrating himself, so make supplication (in this state). (Sahih Muslim 482, Book 4, Hadith 245)

Anas b. Malik (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Allah is more pleased with the repentance of a servant as he turns towards Him for repentance than this that one amongst you is upon the camel in a waterless desert and there is upon (that camel) his provision of food and drink also and it is lost by him, and he having lost all hope (to get tbat) lies down in the shadow and is disappointed about his camel and there he finds that camel standing before him. He takes hold of his nosestring and then out of boundless joy says: 0 Lord, Thou art my servant and I am Thine Lord. He commits this mistake out of extreme delight. (Sahih Muslim 2747a, Book 50, Hadith 9)

Abu Huraira (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: The world is a prison-house for a believer and Paradise for a non-believer. (Sahih Muslim 2956, Book 55, Hadith 1)

It is reported on the authority of Abu Huraira (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observed: He who believes in Allah and the Last Day should either utter good words or better keep silence; and he who believes in Allah and the Last Day should treat his neighbour with kindness and he who believes in Allah and the Last Day should show hospitality to his guest. (Sahih Muslim 47a, Book 1, Hadith 80)

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said: "Jibra'il kept enjoining good treatment of neighbours until I thought he would make neighbours heirs." (Sunan Ibn Majah 3674, Vol. 5, Book 33, Hadith 3674)

Narrated Abu Muisa Al-Ash`ari (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Feed the hungry, visit the sick, and set free the captives." (Sahih al-Bukhari 5649, Book 75, Hadith 9)

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar (RA): Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The prayer in congregation is twenty seven times superior to the prayer offered by person alone." (Sahih al-Bukhari 645, Book 10, Hadith 42)

It was narrated that Anas (RA) said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'In this world, women and perfume have been made dear to me, and my comfort has been provided in prayer.'" (Sunan an-Nasa'i 3939, Vol. 4, Book 36, Hadith 3391)

Narrated Abu Huraira (RA): Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the worst of false tales. and do not look for the others' faults, and do not do spying on one another, and do not practice Najsh, and do not be jealous of one another and do not hate one another, and do not desert (stop talking to) one another. And O, Allah's worshipers! Be brothers!" (Sahih al-Bukhari 6066, Book 78, Hadith 96)

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Charity does not decrease wealth; no one forgives another except that Allah increases his honour; and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises his status. (Sahih Muslim 2588, Book 45, Hadith 90)

Narrated Jarir bin `Abdullah (RA): Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Allah will not be merciful to those who are not merciful to mankind." (Sahih al-Bukhari 7376, Book 97, Hadith 6)

It was narrated from Anas (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Every son of Adam commits sin, and the best of those who commit sin are those who repent.’” (Sunan Ibn Majah 4251, Vol. 5, Book 37, Hadith 4251)

It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin Harith bin Jaz’ Az-Zubaidi (RA) said: “We ate food with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) in the mosque, meat that had been roasted. Then we wiped our hands on the pebbles and got up to perform prayer without performing ablution.” (Sunan Ibn Majah 3311, Vol. 4, Book 29, Hadith 3311)

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Increase in remembrance of the severer of pleasures." Meaning death. (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2307, Vol. 4, Book 10, Hadith 2307)

‘Abdullah bin Salam (RA) said: “When the Prophet (ﷺ) came to Al-Madinah, the people rushed to meet him, and it was said: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has come! The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has come! The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has come!’ Three times. I came with the people to see him, and when I saw his face clearly, I knew that his face was not the face of a liar. The first thing I heard him say was when he said: ‘O people! Spread (the greeting of) Salam, feed others, uphold the ties of kinship, and pray during the night when people are sleeping, and you will enter Paradise with Salam.” (Sunan Ibn Majah 3251, Vol. 4, Book 29, Hadith 3251)
