Recital of Shaykh Abdul-Aziz Al-Shaykh رحمه الله at an elderly age. Towards the final years of his life, he was unable to speak clearly without stuttering much, but his recital of the Quran was still clear. Subhanallah. He was blind from early on, yet did not use that as an excuse to not memorize the Quran and study knowledge. Allah raised his status because of his sincerity and efforts until he became the grand mufti of Saudi Arabia. What excuse is holding us back from learning the Deen?

Surely we belong to Allah and surely we will all return back to Him. إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون It has reached us the news of the death of the grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Shaykh Abdul-Aziz Ali Shaykh. He was the successor to ibn Baaz رحمهم الله. This is a tremendous loss. The Shaykh would come to Taif every summer to accept scholars and students to receive their questions and research. He would give the Arafah Khutbah every year during Hajj at one point. He made Hajj around 45 times and made hajj on behalf of scholars who never did it in the past like: Nawawi, Ibn Hazm, Al-Humaydi and others. May Allah forgive him and grant him al-Firdous al-Ala... إن العين لتدمع وإن القلب ليحزن وإنا على فراقكم لمحزونون ولا نقول إلا ما يرضي ربنا ... إنّا لله وإنّا إليهِ رَاجعُون اللهم آجرنا في مصيبتنا واخلف لنا خيرا منها
